Dealing with Doubt

Moses said to the LORD, "Please, Lord, I'm not a good speaker. I've never been a good speaker, and I'm not now, even though you've spoken to me. I speak slowly, and I become tongue-tied easily." The LORD asked him, "Who gave humans their mouths? Who makes humans unable to talk or hear? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? It is I, the LORD! Now go, and I will help you speak and will teach you what to say." Exodus 4:10-12

www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com

Moses led the God's people out of Egypt but when God called he refused. He didn't know his own ability. Moses wasn't perfect, he was a murderer. In fact, when God called him, he was in hiding in Midian. We can almost understand his reluctance when God ordered him to go back to Egypt and face Pharaoh. He used every excuse possible not to accept the mission but under God's guidance he was able to accomplish what he believed would have been impossible.

Doubt is destructive and affects our ability to connect with God. It fills us with uncertainty. Doubt can lead to anxiety, frustration, and fear. All of those emotions have the ability to influence our faith negatively. Doubt can only come from the enemy (the devil). God loves us and fills us with His wisdom and we ought to be confident of God's provision for us. It should bring us a sense of peace to know that our loving Father already provided for our needs. Every thing that we are not, God is. Meaning: we can relax, we can have peace under His supervision. It is vital to remember that as heir of the Living God we have certain privileges. The moment we were saved, we become member of the King of Kings family "permanently". Praise the Lord!

Has God called you to ministry? Has He called you to be a leader in your community or your church? Has he given you a business plan and yet you have been afraid to take actions? God is telling you to go conquer and deliver. He is with you. You cannot and will not lose. Like Moses, He will teach you to speak. He will surround you with the right people. It's time to trust God and in His ability to order your step. Make getting to know God a priority because you will not be able to embrace your legacy has a child of God until you get acquainted with Him, and His ability to accomplish the impossible.

Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26

Praise the Lord!

Who Is In Control?

Is God in control of your life?

"The earth is the Lord and everything in it, the world and all who live in it; for he -founded it upon the seas and established it upon waters." Psalm 24:1

www.bibletourwithjoline.com

We like to claim that Jesus is in charge of our lives but when adversity comes we want to manipulate the events to our advantage. We studied last year the name "Adonai" which means Owner, Master, Lord. The Bible says that "You're not your own; you were brought at a price" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We all know by now that the price was the blood of Christ. We need to submit to God authority because whether we live or die, we belong to Him, the Creator of all things. (Romans 14:8).

God is a loving God. He wants to prosper all areas of lives. He wants us blessed. We have to be faithful and obedient to Him. We have to surround ourselves completely to Him. We have to faithfully serve our Lord. We have to learn to let Him lead even when adversity comes, “for when we are weak He is strong”. Proverb 31:17 “He (Jesus) said, my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness”. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”. Romans 8:28

Is there any area of live that God does not have control over? An area you would rather keep to yourself? Maybe it's your marriage you'd like to keep control of by not being a submissive wife. Maybe it's it is a sin that you struggle with and becomes a stronghold and you become comfortable with it. Ask God to take control of it today and get free. Ask Him to help you understand the power of his Lordship and he will. Do you know what you are doing when you become a Christian? You are forsaking your own ways, and allowing God to take COMPLETE/TOTAL control of your life with no exceptions whatsoever

Remember that God provides for His people. He knows your limits and he provides the necessary strength you need to accomplish the task of your daily lives. Submit to Him. Give in. Relinquish the power and control of your existence and release yourself to God’s capable hand and have the complete Adonai experience. How do you allow God to control your life? First you must trust that Jesus died for your sins, ask Jesus into your life, and then you repent of all the sins you can remember doing, and then you allow God to rule and reign over your life, and the Holy Spirit will guide you; it takes time, but just keep speaking out that you are not your own and you belong to Jesus!

And Father how grateful I am for your Son Jesus Christ! Help me trust you the way He does. Help me abandon control of my life, so that you can mold and make me just the way you intended for me to be when you created me. Help me to not resist Your Hand upon my life and allow me to experience your joy, and peace finally. Amen!

Praise the Lord!

Don’t Give Up

“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body” 2 Corinthians 4:8-10

www.bibletourwithjoline.com

Mary Pickford was a Canadian-born motion picture famous actress. She once said, “If you have made mistakes there is always another chance, you may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call ‘failure’ is not the falling down, but the staying down.”

When adversity comes, our first reaction is to give up, roll under a rock because it is such an easy choice but anyone who grew up with step parents would tell you that is not the smartest to do. If you have to crawl under a rock, you might as well be dead. You have to keep fighting. Besides, the word of God urges us not to give up for God is on your side. “The battle is the Lord” 1 Samuel 17:47

Like many before us, we are face with challenges that we cannot begin to understand but we have to accept them by faith and turning them over to the Lord. We cannot let our situations keep us from trusting God. It is in our adversity that we will see the glory of God. Our Father wants to do great things for us. He wants to shows us His power but we have to trust Him.

Most people use the word “trust” without fully understand its meaning. Trust incorporates many things from knowing God’s will to not understand His decisions, to completely rely on His wisdom and His unconditional love for us.
When adversity come you don’t wait to die, you call on the Lord, you get in the word and claim victory in Jesus name. You certainly cannot give up.
God always has a reason for the things He allows in our lives. He is preparing us for a future, which He alone knows. We accept by faith that everything happens in our lives for His glory. We cannot allow the setbacks we encounter to get us down, we should instead learn from everyday life as well as the inspired scriptures that success only comes through perseverance, by keeping on and getting up each time we are knocked down. We must learn to persevere.

When trouble comes, just imagine yourself sitting on your father’s lap and tell Him everything. Unlike your earthly father, God will listen. He will not get tired of you, nor will be upset if you call on him in the middle of the night. I promise He will listen. He is the God in the daytime and the nighttime. He is a reliable father, nothing is more important to Him than your well-being. You can count on Him and you can talk to Him anytime.

Let’s pray together:
Father God, thank you for your promise to never leave us alone. Thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ to die for us, and it is in His name that we pray that you will teach us to trust you and to love you. Help us learn to turn to you in time of trouble. Don’t let worry and fear take us away from your good plan for our lives. Help us hang on and never give up. We thank you in Jesus name. Amen.

Praise the Lord!

Sow Good Seed

Sow whatever you would like to harvest.

Do not deceive yourselves: God is not mocked; for whatever a man shall sow, that also shall he reap. Galatians 6:7

www.bibletourwithjoline.com

The life you are living is the direct result of your thoughts life. You are who you always believe you were going to be. Your actions of today determine your future life and what you are today is the result of what you have been thinking and the way you have lived in the past. If life, death, healing, sickness, poverty and prosperity, insecurity, confidence and protection are in the power of the tongue, than I can surely determine whether I am going to be prosperous or live in poverty. I can also decide whether or not I enjoy perfect health. The same goes for you. If you confess or speak the word on healing, prosperity, long life, protection and believe in your heart, that the word has already done, what it says it would do, you will be healed, prosper, live long and be protected. If you confess or speak sickness, poverty, death and insecurity and believe in your heart, that those conditions will occur in your life, you will stay sick, poor, die prematurely and live a life of insecurity. The choice is yours.

People only say it when they want to terrorize, manipulate or instill fear but to reap what you sow is actually incredible, uplifting news for those who sow good deeds, but devastating news for those engaging in self-degrading and ungodly activities. Think about it for a moment: You cannot harvest apple when you sow orange. The principle of seeds and harvest is God's law therefore irrevocable; there is no escape, either for the believer or for the unbeliever. It is a law of life. So what are you sowing today? Have you been sowing the word of God? Are you sowing love? Are you supportive? Can your friends count on you? Are you sowing joy? What would your friend say about you? Are you one of these people who changes so much that your friends don't even recognize you sometimes? Do you even have friends? Remember that you are a soldier of Christ Jesus. He should be your example in every way. God keep all of His promises. God is true. His Word of Promise is sure. In all His relations with His people God is faithful. No one ever yet really trusted Him in vain. We find this precious truth expressed almost everywhere in the Scriptures. God's people need to know that faithfulness is an essential part of the Divine character. It is the basis of our confidence in Him. But it is one thing to accept the faithfulness of God as a Divine truth, it is quite another to act upon it and applying it in our lives. God has given us many precious promises, but are we really counting on Him to be true to his Word?

Be one of these people friends turn to first when in need. Don't hide from your friends because you suspect that they might be in needs. Don't wait until they have called you numerous times to be there for them. Sow seeds of friendship, sow seeds of love, and sow seed of joy and comfort. Sow patience, Sow the word of God and be blessed.

Praise the Lord!

Be Strong

Be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his power. Ephesians 6:10

www.bibletourwithjoline.com

We are faced with a series of battles in this life. To be victorious, one must be strong. Victory is for the strong. Today is not a day for weakness. Our God lives! Go deep inside yourself to find your greatest strength (The Holy Spirit inside you). But, what does that mean to be strong in the Lord? Many times we fall because we really haven't learned that to be strong means to be aware of how weak we are. We are only strong through Christ. We cannot face our battles alone for that the battles that are fought are battles that we in ourselves cannot fight, but rather, by clinging to the Word of God, and resting in Him, we know that the battle is already won on Calvary some 2000 years ago. His Word has so many promises, and we know God will never break a promise. He is the Promise Keeper.

We must learn to trust Him completely, because He knows and understands all that will befall us. He has promised to be our refuge and we are not to be afraid, no matter the circumstances or those involved. As we grow in faith and trust in Him we are often challenged to the depths of our spirit, and are called to stand firm in that faith and trust. Be strengthened by the Lord. The above scripture tells us to "be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might." Being strengthened by the Lord is much simpler than being strong. We all know how to be strengthened by the Lord; we are strengthened through the Means of Grace through faith. When we receive the Lord Jesus Christ, we are strengthened and putting on the whole armor of God. Putting on the armor of God is the same as being clothed with Christ. It is not something that we do after being saved; it is part of being saved. Not only are we clothed with Christ's purity, but we are surrounded and protected by his strength as well. When we become adopted sons of God we are clothed with the Christ's righteousness and protected by Christ's Strength.

Christ has won the victory through His death and resurrection. He has overcome the world. When we trust in the Lord and in His mighty power, we believe in this work of redemption. We are powerful in that we are in Christ by faith. As we look to Him, we cannot fall for He is "able to keep us from falling. Being strong in the Lord means to allow God to be the power in your life. It is not to "get" God's power and use it for yourself. We are not to be the one using God's power. It is God who is the power and only He can use it wisely, justly and victoriously.

Praise the Lord!

Your Healing Jesus

Your Healing Jesus wants to touch You.

Jesus said to him, I will come and heal him" Matthew 8:7

www.bibletourwithjoline.com

The first thing I realized is that Jesus did not hesitate. When he was told about the Centurion's servant, His instant reply was "I will come and heal him". There was no debate, no hesitance on his part. He was able, willing. Jesus hasn't changed. He is the same yesterday and forever (Malachi 3:6).

There is good news for you today. Whatever you're facing: emotional, physical or spiritual trial, Jesus wants to heal you. He is able and willing. His answer for your problem is" I will come and heal you, "I will come and bless you". The same word of healing that He pronounced many years back, are still being spoken on your circumstances today.

Spend times meditating on God's healing promises and remember that His desire is for you to be well and nothing is impossible to God and He loves you. Your well-being is a concern to God. The Holy Spirit is with you right now, helping you through whatever it is you may be going through right now, align your thought-life with His ability to heal you right now and get your healing in Jesus name.

“He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm”. Proverbs 13:20; so my dear friend, stay away from people who don't believe in miracle because they still happen every day. God is a working God. He doesn't stop. When you go to sleep He is still working. Keep on praying and "Expect" your miracle. Don't underestimate your prayers. There is power in the prayer of faith (James 5:14-15), Power to destroy any mountain, restore broken lives and rise up those who have fallen. Have a praying man/woman of God agree with you in prayer. Have a parent intercedes on your behalf. Go after your miracle with all that you got and "EXPECT" to receive it.

Praise the Lord!

Today is the Best Day of Your Life

Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord. Always give thanks to God the father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 5:20-21)

www.bibletourwithjoline.com

It takes an instant for the situations of our daily life to change. I prefer to enjoy God today, by praising Him, and thanking Him for his grace, his mercy and unconditional and unmistakable love for me while I still can.

Are you one of these people who are waiting until things are going well in "all areas" of your life before you to enjoy your life? News flash: tomorrow may never come for you. Take this moment to thank God for all He's done so far and praise Him in advance for the coming blessings.

Are you one of these people who feel that you have nothing to be thankful for? Thank of salvation. God sent His son Jesus Christ to die for you, a humiliating death, on Calvary in order for you to inherit eternal life. You don't need anything else. Life is the best gift you will ever receive, if you haven't done so yet, pray this prayer now:

Heavenly Father, I refuse to wait until I get good news before I thank you, help me be aware of all my blessings today, before tragedy strikes. You are a wonderful father, the best caretaker I could ask for. I submit my destiny, my will, my entire being to your capable hand today; Do unto me, as you will. I thank you for all my past, present, and future blessings; and I thank you most of all, for sending Christ Jesus to die for the forgiveness of my sins and it is by His Holy name I pray. Amen.

Friend, make it part of your daily routine to praise and thank the Lord for your many blessings, whether you recognize it or not, you are constantly being blessed, protected and loved by God.

Be happy today, and always. You are loved.

Praise the Lord!

You Have it All

Then wicked people ask, "What does God know?" "Does the Most High know anything?" Truly, such are the sinners; they do well at all times, and their wealth is increased. Truly have I purified my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocence: For I have been troubled all the day; every morning have I undergone punishment. If I had said, "I will continue to talk like that," I would have betrayed God's people. When I tried to understand this, it was too painful for me; Psalm 73:11-16

www.bibletourwithjoline.com

David, a man after God’s heart, was jealous. He could not understand why people who don’t love God prosper while those who honor God were facing hardship, and David said, “When I thought about this it was too painful for me.” Think about it for a second, does it make sense to you that people who have no sense of love, dedication or commitment, those who make fun of you for going to church, or for waiting on God to meet that special someone, to get the perfect job, and to buy your first home, those people are married, or switching girlfriends/boyfriends on a regular basis. They own the apartment you are renting and unable to pay for. They enjoy excellent health, while you have been dealing with various health challenges. It just doesn’t seem fair, does it? David says, “They are blessed, they have more than their heart can wish” David continues, “I just can’t take it.” And God says, “You are looking at them at the wrong time. You are looking at them in the morning. It’s morning in their lives. Like in nature in the morning the flowers bloom, but when the hot sun starts beating down, they wither and die.”

Psalm 73 proves that Davis realized that there was no need to be jealous. One day, you too, will come to the sunrise of your life. Every sacrifice, every effort, and all challenges are bringing you closer to that sunrise. What good is money? What good is power? What good is a great relationship? What good is any of it when the sun goes down? Friend you should focus on Christ. He went to prepare a place for you. If you think those who don’t love the Lord are having a great time now, you should see what the righteous are going to enjoy in heaven. There are people who rejected Christ and yet still enjoying His mercy and goodness but there will be a time when it will all come to an end. They will know no more mercy and grace. They will know the wrath of God, while we enjoy His love. What else do you need when you have Jesus? You have His peace (emotional, financial, marital). When you have Jesus, you have someone to love you unconditionally (will never leave you); you have someone to own you (handle all your challenges, take charge). When you have Jesus, you have total acceptance (complete). Your days of getting rejected are forever gone, you now have acceptance. When you have Jesus, you have someone who will be able to find you in the midst of your darkest hour; in your deepest loneliness, you will have someone to comfort you. Psalm 23:3 say, when you have God, you have someone to restore your soul. Glory! The hurt, pain, hardship, rejection, loneliness, are all temporary.

Friend, don’t worry that you haven’t come across all that is in store for you. The joy of the fact that you are a child of God should be present in your heart. That joy should remain in you until the appointed day when you are with your savior face to face. Now the world may not know it, your family and friend may not know it but you have something (you can be certain) that can’t be taken away. You have a seat in the kingdom of God, and if you are in the middle of a storm right now, don’t worry. You are not alone; Psalm 23: 4 assures us that He is with us. Those who have God have it all, and the best is yet to come.

Praise the Lord!

Wait on The Lord!

Wait on The Lord!

I believe that I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. Psalms 27:13-14

www.bibletourwithjoline.com

David trusted God and he believed that because God gave him help in the past he would again in the future. The same is true today. Every time God gives you help you should be confident that He is able to do it again. The situations we get entangled with in life come with great pressure and at times you and I feel like we will not survive another day. The truth of the matter is God is the one who had ultimate control and power to change the outcome of our situations over time. Worrying will not get you out of the situation any faster. You need to learn to wait for the Lord.

All of us have to go to the ups and downs of life. I realized from my own experiences that there is a time when all of our prayers get answered right away and another time when we don’t know what is going. When life is difficult you must remember the good times. When you think that God has forgotten you is the time that you must remember the times when He actually came through. You have to be alert, diligent. You must be like David in the above scripture; you must wait for the Lord. One day he will see the victory. If you believe this, it will make you strong and we will experience His glory.

Waiting is definitely not easy. You have to train your flesh to learn to wait and to resist discouragement when going through that period of frustration. The Holy Spirit wants to help you, and all you have to do is ask for help. Your prayer life should be a priority. Come to God in prayers often. Most Christians come to God in afflictions, which is unfortunate because there is no time to develop the relationship and they don’t know how God operates. (He always operates in love with our best interests in mind). Someone asked me recently why do we have to pray ay all? Why can’t we get all that we deserve? The truth of the matter is that I am glad that I serve a God who does not give me what I deserve (afflictions, pain, death, eternal separation from Him) we deserve death for our disobedience; it is the grace of God that keeps us alive. Friend, you have to remember that without God you cannot do anything. He wants you to rely on Him for all of your needs.

Stop resisting and turn your life over to His capable hand. Your loving father knows your heart and your deepest desire, trust in His love and ability to change your situation and He will.

Praise the Lord.

Happy birthday G. Marshall and may God bless you!

Raising Godly Children

Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Psalm 127:3

www.bibletourwithjoline.com/dailydevotions.asp

You have to know that before you can ever be successful Christian parents, you must have your own relationship with the Lord, and, just as it is important that your children see you living right, they must also see you loving each other right. You cannot teach your children something you are not practicing. They are smart and they can spot a fake from a distance. You have to practice what you preach. . If you expect your life to impact that of your children, then you must be transformed by the Word yourself. They have to see you put God first. It is essential you set aside personal time alone with God. You need to be growing so that you can help your children to grow. The importance an influence of the Word of God should never be underestimated. Godly children start with godly parents. Many people complain about the fact that children are not learning the life lessons they are being taught at home, and often enough, their attitude is the direct result of the parents’ life. Children learn by observing you. They are more incline toward what you do, versus what you say. You have to start raising godly children, by being a good example. Ephesians 6:4 - Fathers are commanded to bring their children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. You cannot leave this up to others, including your wife (of course, she is responsible too). You are responsible (both parents). You have no right to shift it to others.

The Bible says that parents (not just the mother) should diligently teach the Word to their children. The word "diligent" means "to sharpen." It carries the idea of penetrating another. In other words, the training is to penetrate deeply into your children. You are to help them, on the basis of God's word to be discerning when it comes to living life. You are not to teach them through dogmatic nonsense of "Because I said so!" It simply does work. You are to develop in them a set of conviction based in the Word of God that will guide them through life. It isn't about a bunch of rules, of a list of "do's and don'ts". It is about teaching them by explanation and by example the things God would have them learn. Must parents feel that there aren’t enough hours in the day to complete all their tasks and some neglect the spiritual part of raising children. My friend, all good teaching should start with God. Some fathers think they will leave the children to the mothers to raise (or vice-versa). Some divorce and leave the home or otherwise desert their children. Some spend too much time away from home pursuing other interests. Some simply don't bother. This is unacceptable. Raising children is a responsibility that both parents should embrace

Friend you must accept the goal of raising your children properly and must diligently work toward that goal. You must not leave this God-given responsibility to others. You have to teach them that God blesses His faithful children. If they see you enjoying the great blessings of the Lord, they will want the same things for their own lives. Let's show the precious children that serving God is the only way to live, it isn’t optional but mandatory. Teach them the truth; make sure they know that obedience to the Lord always pays off. Let's show them that God's way is the best way. After all, your children will be a living memorial to your investment in their lives.

Praise the Lord!
