God Answers Prayer

“And all things (not just some things), whatever (anything) you make request for in prayer (ask God) having faith (firm assurance), you will get. Matthew 21:22

“Ask, (make a request) and it will be given to you (what you are searching for you will get); seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you” Matthew 7:7

Prayer is a simple ordinary part of human life and prayer does not belong only to special occasions. It is part of constant communication with the Father. Jesus had a solid prayer life when He was living among us as a man (Luke 3:21, Luke 5:16, Luke 6:12, Luke 9:18, Luke 9:28-29 and Luke 22:41-42). The disciples were familiar with their Jewish rituals (prayers) but one day they ask Jesus to teach them to pray (Luke 11:1) because they knew that there’s was something special about the way Jesus prayed. Jesus always put a personal touch in His prayers. He always referred to God as “loving Father”. He referred to Him as though He knew Him intimately. He wasn’t addressing God as a stranger would. They had a relationship. They were comfortable with each other. Friend, the relationship with God is a personal one. When you go to the loving Father, expect Him to hear you and grant your request. You cannot be certain of this fact, unless you have a relationship with Him. His nature will only be revealed to those who take the time to develop a prayer relationship with Him. Those who go to God on special occasions with a request are missing out on all He has to offer such as spiritual comfort, emotional wholeness, love, joy, and peace.

Jesus encouraged people to pray constantly and to remain persistent: won't God give his chosen people justice when they cry out to him for help day and night? Is he slow to help them? (Luke 18:7), and in the last conversation Jesus had with his disciples, He encouraged them to pray in His name. Asking in His name involved doing what He would do and we know that He trusted His father completely. Jesus walked on earth with authority and complete confidence. Friend, if you are going to worry about the situation in your life then don’t pray but if you are a praying man/woman of God then don’t worry. You have the assurance that when you pray, your heavenly Father hears you and He promised to give whatever you ask according to His will. He was the one who said to come talk Him and He will listen and not only that He will answer. God wants your prayers answer. Friend when you come to the throne of grace, you have to come boldly. You have to know that you are not going to be denied, but take the time to develop your prayer life and build a serious relationship with God. Will you?

Mark 11:23 says: I TELL YOU WITH CERTAINTY, IF ANYONE SAYS TO THIS MOUNTAIN, 'BE LIFTED UP AND THROWN INTO THE SEA,' IF HE DOESN'T DOUBT IN HIS HEART BUT BELIEVES THAT WHAT HE SAYS WILL HAPPEN, IT WILL BE DONE FOR HIM.”

Praise the Lord!
