You (alone) are God

Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Psalm 62:1

For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are god. Palm 86:10

You alone are the Lord. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. Nehemiah 9:6

I often wonder why it is so difficult for mankind to trust God when trusting the wrong people comes so naturally to us.  I think it is perhaps because God created with free will. He wants us to choose Him. He does not try to compete or manipulate us. God love is free. There is no quid pro quo.  We are simply not use to that kind of love. Perhaps we don't feel like we deserve God's love because it is too easy. We cannot understand why the Creator of the universe would love us. It seems too easy. In this world love seems to be hard. It requires a lot of work. We are always trying to force someone to accept and love us. We are always trying to be perfect in order to receive someone's love. But God does not require perfection. His love is what will transform us. God loves us all even though we are imperfect. Listen, He sent His son to die for our transgressions. God loves us despite who we are and that is mind boggling! We simply cannot understand it.

God alone offers the kind of love the world longs for and yet reluctant to receive. We reject God's love while we pursue what we perceive as the perfect love. We get hurt and emotional crippled before we decide to turn to God. We only turn to God after great defeat. Listen, there is nothing in this world that could come close to what God has to offer. God alone can offer the love that you deserve. Only God knows how to love you because only Him is God.

Praise the Lord!
