Praise the Lord!

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1

We should praise God at all times, and not just when everything in our natural life seems to be going well. Christians tend to forget that they are in this world but they are not of this world and that the trials they face in this earthly life cannot compare to the glory that one day will be theirs when they are in Glory with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Once saved, you can live with a sense of eternal hope for the future. Don’t spend your energy worrying about shortcomings. Worship God instead and take the time to develop a real relationship with him despite the daily distractions that come with living in this world. Read Hebrews 11 and you will discover that Abraham is not the only one whose life was changed by devotion to God. Don’t focus on the things of this world. Keep your eyes on the Prize. Keep your eyes on God. He has prepared the same city for you.

Since Jesus Christ has saved you from your sins, you can enjoy heaven on earth as you worship and live your life for Him each day. You cannot waste precious time complaining about this and that. You have an omniscient father, who knows it all the beginning, the middle and the end of your situation. He does not panic and neither should you. He is got it all in control. No matter what it looks like your life is out of control. I don’t know what you have heard lately but I am reminding you that God is still on the throne. The Bible says in Psalm 121: 4 Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Imagine that, God will not go to sleep when you do. He continues to watch over you as you sleep. So why do you need to stay up obsessing over your issues? Friend, worship the Lord. It is in His presence that there is peace. In His presence there is joy. In His presence there is hope and in His presence we will live forever.

“Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies” Psalm 103:1-4

Praise the Lord!
