Why Does God Allow People to Suffer 2?

Why do Children suffer?
Part #2

“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God” (Psalm 14:1).
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)

This part #2 of yesterday's daily devotions concerning children. Yesterday we were reminded that God did not create us to suffer and die. He created us to live and serve Him. The bible is clear about that.

Even though babies and young children may not yet be competent enough to understand the concept of right from wrong, they are still sinners by nature and will sadly become sinners by choice later in life. It is inevitable. Although we don't like to see anyone suffer, we must remember that The Lord Jesus Christ, who was the only “innocent” and “righteous” man ever lived, suffered more than anyone else. He did not even die for his own sake. He did for you and I.

Friend, you and I cannot and should not establish the standards of what is right and what is wrong considering how deceitful our hearts can be. Only the Creator has the right to do so. We just have to settle it our hearts and minds. We must accept the fact that we couldn't begin to understand God's purpose and we must accept that whatever God does is right even though it makes no sense to us. Most atheists, do not have any evidence on which to base their faith in “no God”, often resort to hearsay and this problem of suffering is the most common among them. This excuse has gained momentum because almost every human will suffer some kid of pain in life and share a collective fear of pain and suffering. The “problem of pain,” is atheism's most persuasive weapon against Christianity.

The Bible is clear on our limited understanding of God's plan. But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? Romans 9:20 says this: “Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’" We need also to recognize that our bodies and even our minds were created by God. We can only use them to the extent that He allows, and it arrogant and frankly audacious for us to use them to question God (Our creator) and His motives.

My dear friend, here is the truth: the whole world is in pain. People are suffering physically, mentally, spiritually and financially. All of us we fall into hard times in this life. As we discussed in length yesterday, God did not create the world this way. The "Fall of Man" brought this bondage of corruption that cases pain and death to this earth but the good news is that one day soon, God promised to put a permanent end to our suffering. Every suffering adult and every parent of a sick child should plant Revelation 21:4 in their heart: "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Expect God to right every wrong (Rom12:19). He will avenge His children who have suffered unfairly, yet trust Him-Luke 18:8
Before you continue on with your day, I would like for you to rest assured that God loves you. He created you for his glory. He wants the best for you and He knows what best for you. Regardless of what you may be facing today, remember that God exists. He sees. He cares. One day it will all makes sense. I want you to plant the following two verses in your heart when going through your trials:

However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him" 1 Corinthians 2:9

“For we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).

Praise the Lord!

Hiding Place in God..........

When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord rescues them from them all. (Psalm 34:17-19)

Anyone who says that life will be a walk in the park once you become a Christian is a liar. To be honest, more trouble seems to come to those who accept Christ. As far as I am concerned it seems inevitable. Everyone I know is going through something. I am always coming out of something while getting into something new. But why is there always so much opposition? As Christians we have a real enemy. He wants us to turn away from God in order to make us doubt our salvation. He wants to blind us and lead us into sin to make us think that we can never be forgiven again. He wants us to feel alone, depressed and oppressed. He ultimately wants us all in hell  with him, forever separated from God. This enemy is a well-known liar named Satan. It is important to know his nature. In times of need, we have to remember that the Lord is on our side, that He loves us unconditionally and that He renews the strength of those who hope in Him; so should we worry when going through the hard times? Those who believe that God is everything He says He is do not worry. They remain steadfast in trouble for they know every problem is an opportunity to see the glory of God.

Every tough situation is a privilege to see God do what He does best: taking care of His children. When all doors

seem to be closing at once and I have no where to turn, I find a hiding place in God. You can also find your hiding place in God. Today was especially difficult but God supernaturally gave me the strength to pull through my situation. He opened up my eyes to understand that whether painful or hurtful, somehow it fits His plan for my protection and for a secure future.  Not surprisingly, He has promised to keep each one of us safe, holy, separated unto Himself; and He is a promise keeper (glory!). “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.” (Psalm 46:1-3) I realized today that God will always choose the hardships that best prepare us for the future challenges. It may not look or feel like it at the time but as we rest in Him, it becomes abundantly clear that it struggle accomplishes its purpose and at the appointed time and place God always comes to our rescue. “My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.” (Psalm 62:1-2)

Friend, may you rest peacefully in His plan and provision! Don’t be foolish to turn away from such deep love. Trust your Shepherd to lead you to green pastures. May you know without a doubt that God’s hand is never too far off to save! May you live in perfect union with Him!  May you know that in Him alone you are safe so that you can be still, and unshaken in His divine presence! May you know that He is God. Your only hiding place forever.

Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. (Exodus 14:13-14)

The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. (Psalm 9:9-10)

My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life. (Psalm 119:50)

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes, with your right hand you save me. (Psalm 138:7)

Praise the Lord!
