“This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.” Joshua 1:8

I overheard a conversation between my co-workers. They were discussing which movie they should go see last week end. Everyone had a point of view and all felt very strongly about their positions. By the end of the discussion I noticed how those with strong conviction managed to get certain members of the group to agree with their point of view. In this world there is constant debate over what is true, which way to go, and who to follow. Peer pressure is a major issue for children and adults. People are confused. They can become so wrapped in their thinking that they don't know the difference between right and wrong. The devil loves to get you distracted and get you off the course on which God has placed you. God has a plan for your life. Don’t substitute good enough for the best. I have read a considerable amount of books on the subject of success but none has been more beneficial than the Bible, the Word of God. There is no way to attain success outside the wisdom of God. True wisdom gives better results. We have limited resources but God is the Source of everything. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, or your ways my ways, says the Lord”. Isaiah 55:8.
People work really hard in their pursuit of a specific goal, but they don’t work hard enough when it comes to acquiring the wisdom of God. If you really want to get the wisdom of God, if you want your word to speak wisdom, if you want to make all the right move, and go all the right way you have to do more than attending church on Sunday. You are going to have to get into the word. You’re going to have to seek the word of God. You might have to cut down on your (Internet, television, sport, ect.)time. Put yourself on “training mode”. You have to be dedicated, unreasonably focus and determined just like an athlete training for the olympics. God created all things through His divine Word. He spoke, and all things came to existence, both the heavens and the earth, both spiritual creatures and material creation. This same Word, who is the eternal Son of the Father, is called the Wisdom of God. God created us with a longing for wisdom, the only problem is that we rely on our own ability as a result we continue to go in circle, fighting the same battle, the same sins and dealing with the same issues.
Would you like to see results? Do you want to experience success on a different level? You have to do whatever it takes to be completely filled with the Word of God. You have been trying the same old tricks for many years, why don’t you try something new? Let God takes the lead for a change. Find out what God wants you to do and refuse to let entertainment and other pleasures distract you. God has experience in child rearing. He’s been raising sons and daughters for thousands of years. He will not interfere unless you invite Him in; remember that He created you with free will; you have to give Him permission. God can do it without you, but He enables you to have fellowship with Him and teaches you to depend upon Him. Will you give Him the opportunity to make a success out of you? The choice is yours. Choose wisdom, choose God.
Praise the Lord!
