God Heals!

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.James 5:16

I don't now what you have heard but I know for a fact that my Father still heals. Just last night I was touched with His healing hand. I am a living testimony of God's healing power and I am not referring to just the physical. He also touch the emotions and the finances. God can touch any are of your life if you invite Him into your situation by praying and trust Him to do what only He can. He is able. He is willing.

Religious people follow every sentence with "If it's God's will" or "I'll just leave it up to God" or "God willing" but Christians know that when it comes to their well-being, God is always willing. 3 John 1:2 "Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well." God's help is always within reach through prayers.He wants us to pray to him for help. In Luke 18:1 Jesus told his disciples that they "should always pray and not give up." and then Jesus asked "...will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night?" People say that miracles don't happen anymore but I am reminding you the power of God is still manifesting. Pray to God from your heart for healing and all of your other needs. Don't ever stop. Don't ever give up. God wants you well.

The Healing ministry of Jesus Christ covers about 1/4 of the Gospel. Jesus taught the disciples how to pray and heal. He sent them to carry on His work. Wouldn't Jesus want His followers to pray for healing today? I truly believe He would. Friend, you need to continue to pray for healing and we (believers) need to pray for each other's healing. The bible is filled with healing scriptures:
James 5:14-15 "Is any one of you sick? He should call the elder the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven."

James 5:16 we are asked to "confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed." and then told that "The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."

Mark 11:23-25 Jesus further instructs to forgive when we pray "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, `Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."

My dear friend, be assured that God wants you well, that prayers work and that miracles still happen. Don't you ever give up. Don't you ever stop praying.

Father in the name of Jesus touch my mind, body, and  soul. Heal me from head to toes. Heal my broken heart. Repair my relationships. Heal my finances. Open the doors for that new job, but most of all Father, help me stand on your word. Help me be more like you each day. My heart's desire is to always put you first. Thank you for all you are about to do. Thank you for my healing. Thank you for that new job. Thank you for the revival of my finances. Thank you for the renewal of my relationships. Thank you for the salvation of my loved ones. I praise you and I adore you for only you are holy. Holy you are worthy and only you are God.

Praise the Lord!

Be Strong!

Be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his power. Ephesians 6:10

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibetouravecjoline.blogspot.com

To be victorious in this life one must be strong. Victory is for the strong. Today is not a day for weakness. Our God lives! Go deep inside yourself to find your greatest strength (The Holy Spirit inside you). But, what does that mean to be strong in the Lord? Many times we fall because we really haven't learned that to be strong means to be aware of how weak we are. We are only strong through Christ. We cannot face our battles alone for that the battles that are fought are battles that we in ourselves cannot fight, but rather, by clinging to the Word of God, and resting in Him, we know that the battle is already won on Calvary some 2000 years ago. His Word has so many promises, and we know God will never break a promise. He is the Promise Keeper.

We must learn to trust Him completely, because He knows and understands all that will befall us. He has promised to be our refuge and we are not to be afraid, no matter the circumstances or those involved. As we grow in faith and trust in Him we are often challenged to the depths of our spirit, and are called to stand firm in that faith and trust. Be strengthened by the Lord. The above scripture tells us to "be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might." Being strengthened by the Lord is much simpler than being strong. We all know how to be strengthened by the Lord; we are strengthened through the Means of Grace through faith. When we receive the Lord Jesus Christ, we are strengthened and putting on the whole armor of God. Putting on the armor of God is the same as being clothed with Christ. It is not something that we do after being saved; it is part of being saved. Not only are we clothed with Christ's purity, but we are surrounded and protected by his strength as well. When we become adopted sons of God we are clothed with the Christ's righteousness and protected by Christ's Strength.

Christ has won the victory through His death and resurrection. He has overcome the world. When we trust in the Lord and in His mighty power, we believe in this work of redemption. We are powerful in that we are in Christ by faith. As we look to Him, we cannot fall for He is "able to keep us from falling. Being strong in the Lord means to allow God to be the power in your life. It is not to "get" God's power and use it for yourself. We are not to be the one using God's power. It is God who is the power and only He can use it wisely, justly and victoriously.

Praise the Lord!

Focus on God...........

For our present trouble, which is only for a short time, is working out for us a much greater weight of glory; (2 Corinthians 4:17)

www.bibletourwithjoline.com/dailydevotions.asp
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

Matthew 9:28-29 tells the story about how Jesus asked these blind men, "'Do you believe that I am able to do this?'" What did they say? "'Yes, Lord.' Then he touched their eyes and said, 'According to your faith will it be done to you,' and their sight was restored.'" The Bible is full of God's promises, but unlike the promises that we make, God's promises are true and he fulfills every one. Abraham believed God's promise that he would be the father of many nations. He did not waver through unbelief but was made strong as he believed in the promise of God, because he knew the one who promised it was able to perform it. You have to rest assured that God is still able to perform miracles. He is able to hear and answer your prayers. God gives us grace every time we pray. God is able to answer your prayer, and if you are born of God, He will most certainly answer it. Contrary to popular belief, God does not only answer prayers about our great needs. He gets involved in our minor troubles as well. He is a loving and concerned father. He cares about everything about us. You can trust Him and go to Him with all your complications.

Jesus Himself lived like that, in daily unhindered communion with the Father, He went to Him all the time so that He could say to His Father and our Father, "I knew that you hear me always" (John 11:42). And all the teaching of Jesus about prayer shows that we too can have communion with God. Friend, the normal Christian life is a life of regular, daily answer to prayer. It is perfectly normal for an obedient child to ask God for things in prayers and get it, get all he wants. "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?" (Matt. 7:11). Trust God, He will not fail you. Dare to be a Daniel. Read your Bible for the better you know God, the easier you'll find it to trust and obey Him. And the more you'll sense how deeply God cherishes you, and how desperately He wants to answer your prayers. So learn more about God each day. Grow closer to the glorious God who treasures you beyond your wildest dreams. You can trust Him.

Focus on God. Focus on His love. Focus on His plan for your life. Focus on Him and be blessed!

Praise the Lord!

Walk in Victory!

"Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, so that your words may give grace to those who hear". Ephesians 4:29

"In all things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us". Romans 8:37.

I said it before on Bible Tour, and I am saying again: Christians have to be careful when speaking. Our vocabulary must exude confidence in God and a life of victory. We have no business claiming that circumstances are keeping us down. No matter what it looks like and no matter the pain, Christians must trust God. Faith honors God.

Jesus died to change our circumstances. He died to provide us a victorious living. Our words and attitude should reflect His glory. He died to give strength to those who are weak, and to give sight to the blinds, to give victory over sins and "our Circumstances, our issues".

You and I have to start walking and talking with power given to us by the resurrection of Christ, by his great victory of death and sins. Somehow when tragedies strike, we tend to forget what we got in Jesus. Listen, we have a provider, healer, a friend, and a miracle worker in the Lord Jesus Christ. When He is with us , nothing, I said nothing (cancer, diabetes, hypertension, multiple Sclerosis, dementia, liver and kidney disease), not even our debts should scare us. We have Christ. He is able and willing to do it all. Listen, it human to feel weak at times, but we cannot dwell on the sorrows. We have to learn to stand in faith and claim the victory we got in Jesus.

Christ victory on Calvary enable us/you to live a victorious life. You are no longer in bondage. Don't let your aches and pains and your daily circumstances keep you from claiming the victory already given to you two thousand years ago. You must start living and talking in victory for you are a victorious and loved child of God.

Watch your words when speaking. Encourage each other and build each other's faith. Remember that "faith comes by hearing the word of God" Romans 10:17.

Lean on God

In my anguish I cried to the LORD, and he answered by setting me free.In my distress I cried out to the LORD; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears. Psalm 18: 5-6

God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer. Psalm 66:19

www.bibletourwithjolne.blogspot.com

I remember when I was a little I never used to worry about anything. My mother made it abundantly clear that I should come to her with every problem (big or small). I trusted her completely because she knew how to ease my pain and relieve my burdens. Not once did she let me down. She took every complaint to heart. I remember waking up at nights to the sound of her voice praying over me and my siblings. It was a real comfort to me. After she passed away I had to learn to go to God myself. I had to learn to lean on God. I did not know it then but I realized later in my childhood that I leaned heavily on my mother. She was my rock. There is nothing wrong with a child leaning on a parent. The problem was that I trusted her more than God.

Searching for a person that would fill the void my mother left in my life lasted from childhood to adulthood. My search led to many unnecessary heartbreaks. Over the years I have learned that I am left disappointed each time a person or something takes precedence over God in my life. Despite the best intentions, people, at some point will let me down. The truth is people have their own burdens. Over the years, God has taught me to come to Him with my burdens. It is a lesson that I had to learn the hard way. It wasn't easy but I finally learned to make God my first stop and not my last after all else failed.

That is the way that it is supposed to be with God. We should be relying on Him for everything (support, help, joy, peace, and protection). God should part of ever decision we make. When we are faced with those tough situations that we don’t understand, we should go to God and lean on Him. We can’t trust in our own ability to solve our own problems. It is easy to think that we have all the answers. If we trust in our own abilities to solve problems, then we are going to get ourselves into trouble. I know this for a fact. I have gotten in more trouble than necessary by trying to fix things. Do not be impressed with who you are, your education, your upbringing, or what you know. Leaning on your own understand brings stress and discontentment, but learning to lean on God brings peace, joy health and success

My friend, abandon yourself to His trust. He is worthy. Your parents, spouse, and friends will fail you. God will never fail you. His love endures forever. He will not get tired of hearing from you. He will not hide when you need Him the most, and He will not discuss you with others. Friend, failure comes from following our own plans for our own lives. Stress comes from doing our own thing and planning our own way. Success comes from leaning on God.

In John 14, Jesus promised the gift of the Holy Ghost. Who is the Holy Spirit? He is a full member of the Trinity. The Bible also tells us that the Holy Spirit is a Person, a Being with a mind, emotions, and a will. He is God. The Holy Spirit makes decisions according to His will (1 Corinthians 12:7-11). The Holy Spirit thinks and knows (1 Corinthians 2:10). The Holy Spirit can be grieved (Ephesians 4:30. As God, the Holy Spirit can truly function as the Comforter and Counselor that Jesus promised He would be (John 14:16,26; 15:26).This gift is bestowed upon the Disciples of Christ only, and not on the entire world. This is the favor God bears to His chosen. As the source of holiness and happiness, the Holy Spirit will abide with and in every believer for ever. He was given to live inside those who believe in Jesus, in order to produce God's character and to build into their lives love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Gal. 5:22-23).

Friend, have no fear when it seems like the ground all around you is crumbling. You are not standing on the sinking sand of this earth but on the promises of the Rock, my savior and yours, Jesus Christ who will hold you and keep you standing while those around you are perishing. You are standing on the strength of the Holy Spirit whose primary role is to comfort and strengthen you. You have the Trinity on your side. You are a conqueror. Even though you are in the midst of the trial of your life right now, the devil will not win this battle because it was already won on Calvary. I don’t know who has abandoned you and left a deep void, (a parent, maybe a spouse or your children). I don’t even want to know who has left those ugly scars. I guarantee you the void was filled on Calvary and the scars were healed on the cross. You are not broken. The Promise Keeper gave you His word, you are never alone. All believers are given a future with promise and a plan to succeed in all that God has called them to do. The Holy Spirit is not just with you but within you. He has been there since you made Christ your Lord and Savior and He will NEVER leave you ALONE.

Praise the Lord!

Psalm 4

1 Answer me when I call to you,
my righteous God.
Give me relief from my distress;
have mercy on me and hear my prayer.

2 How long will you people turn my glory into shame?
How long will you love delusions and seek false gods[b]?[c]
3 Know that the LORD has set apart his faithful servant for himself;
the LORD hears when I call to him.

4 Tremble and[d] do not sin;
when you are on your beds,
search your hearts and be silent.
5 Offer the sacrifices of the righteous
and trust in the LORD.

6 Many, LORD, are asking, “Who will bring us prosperity?”
Let the light of your face shine on us.
7 Fill my heart with joy
when their grain and new wine abound.

8 In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, LORD,
make me dwell in safety.

We often discussed the things that made the Devil feel at home in our lives. The list is quite long, but You understand by now, that anything that does not glorify God in your life attracts the Devil.

You can pray, you can fast, you can ask people to lay hands on you and cast the Devil out of your life, but I nothing will change until you repent and make the quality decision to stop Satan's influence over your life. You have to be willing. Now it does not matter what area of your life need the change, it can be victory over sins, it can be restoration of your mind and soul, or physical health, it can be emotional wholeness, nothing will change until you make the cautious decision to get "your" victory. Remember, Jesus had asked the man at the pool of Bethesda, wilt thou be whole? (John 5:6). He did not ask him would you like to be well. The man had to be willing in order to receive healing.

God sent Jesus to the cross to carry our burdens, to give us victory over sins and to make us whole. He bore our sicknesses, He carried our diseases, and He already won every battle "you are facing by His death on Calvary, but it takes decision from your part to receive the victory you are searching for. It requires determination on your part before you can actually achieve victory. Decide to be free today.

God Still Answers Prayers...............

God is still in the business of answering Prayers. You can and should bring all of requests to Him. It makes absolutely no sense to carry your burdens when you can just easily take all to Him in prayers. All things are possible to God, and through the blood of Christ on Calvary, all things were made possible to you. Believe in God's word, don't limit Him or yourself.

You can do all things through Christ which is in you. (Philippians 4:13).
You can heal, and be healed. You can be delivered; you can prosper in Jesus name. You
can be set free out of the mess your life has become. (Mark 16:17)
The power of the blood of Christ is limitless.
You can have it all. Everything is possible for who believes (Mark 9:20 and Mark 10:26).

Friend, the word of God will not fail you and you have to believe it. Oh!!! How I wish I could believe for you. You have to believe for yourself. Your have to meditate. You have to keep the word of God alive in your heart, soul and Spirit. You have to go for it with all that you have. You have to cling to the word of God, when you're going after your miracles. You have to be persistent. God will strengthen you as you grow in faith.

Great Love!

“But the very hairs of your head are all numbered” Matthew 10:30

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

God knows everything about you, yes “you”. He even counted every string of hair on your head. Isn’t that amazing? The Bible says He knew you before you were born. “My frame was not unseen by you when I was made secretly, and strangely formed in the lowest parts of the earth” Psalm 139:15. I guarantee you on the authority of the Word of God, that He loves you. This is amazing to me especially because I am almost invisible in my family (being 1 of 9), let alone in my community and the planet. It is hard for me to comprehend of any reason why the Lord of lords, the magnificent King of kings would be and/or should be interested in me and yet our Lord looks down and He sees me and you. We are cherished one by one and not as a group. He keeps tabs on us individually. He watches out and provides for each one of us as though each individual was the only child.

Think about it for a moment: The magnificent God that creates and runs the universe is concerned about “you”. Most people imagine that in God’s eyes we are just one of millions. We know most people don’t think we are important and so we assume
God thinks of us in a similar way. But then, again, God is not like
most people. To Him, each one us is special and worth sending His son to die for. To be honest everyone wants to be loved and accepted. There is nothing mankind wouldn’t do to find love and yet when love is found it isn't cherished but God loves us with His whole heart and He honors the relationship. Listen, God loves “you” with every speck of His enormous love. That means no matter how much God loves others, He couldn’t possibly love anyone else more than He loves you and no matter how much your spouse and your children love you (or say or don't say they do) it doesn't matter because either way their love can never compared to the love of God.

Mankind type of love is limited and conditional because most of us don’t know how to love but “God is love” (1 John 4:8). People love base on their personal agenda and selfish criteria but to God no Christian is too old, too naive, too ugly, too poor, too uneducated, too stupid and too annoying to be loved. It doesn’t matter who your parents were or what family you came from and in what part of the world you were born because when you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you automatically become an accepted (worthy of love) member of the elite family of the most prominent and only living God. God is your Father and like any good father, He has plan for your life, great unimaginable and extraordinary plans but unlike your earthly father, He’s got the means, the power and the will to bring the plans to fulfillment. Now what is you’d like to accomplish on this earth? Are you in the midst of great troubles? What are your most pressing needs? Bring them all to the Lord in prayers. There is nothing you loving father cannot do? If He could bring a dead person back to life, He can surely take care of you. DO you need to finish graduate school? Would like to be married? Do you need a job or a place to call home? do you need emotional, financial and educational healing? I promise you that can do it all. The word of God in Psalm 34:17 says "The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles."

Have you been looking for the love that surpasses all intelligence? Has your search led you to heartbreaks, disappointments, loneliness and despair? Then look no further than the loving arms of God. No matter what you have done and where you have been, I assure you, He loves you. (Romans 5:8). Once in His family, He will bring the right people into your life. He will turn your sorrows into joy. He will repair you damage relationships. He will restore your peace. He knows you well but He loves you anyway. He doesn't love you because you are lovable or because of some misguided notion of love; He loves you because He is love. He created you to have a loving relationship with Him, and He sacrificed His own Son (who also willingly died for you- John 3:16) to restore that relationship. He loves you. You are precious in His eyes. He will never abandon you. You can count on His unconditional love.

God's love towards us is demonstrated by the sacrifice He made on our behalf. "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13). Rely on God's unconditional and immutable love and you will not have to be lonely another day of your life.

Will you share His message of love with at least one person today? I trust that you will.

Praise the Lord!

I Know the Greatest Lover..............

Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, (love) is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com

Love by definition has many components, without any of them, love is missing. Love does not insist on its own schedule and time constraints, and rue love is not easily shaken, or only works when it is convenient. Jesus tells us here that our greatest command is to love. God gives us the ability to love when we are born again, the Holy Spirit fills our heart with the love of God so that we can show His love to others. What is it about true love that touches every heart? Why does the simple phrase "I love you" evoke such universal joy? Why is it that some spend a lifetime pursuing love? You see, love was the grand principle which prompted the almighty God to give His Son to die for sinners. How great, how sublime was the love that a perishing world! God's love fills the immensity of space; therefore, there is no shortage of love in the universe, only in our willingness to do what is needed to feel it. To do this, Jesus explained "You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind. And you must love your neighbor as yourself." (Luke 10:27). Responding to true love is part of our very being because we are children of God and Love is God's attribute, which he delights to manifest openly; and love was the motive that brought Emmanuel from his throne, to this dying world, in order to save the lost. We live in God's love. No one can deny it. Yes, we might go through hard times, but in the end we all will be accountable on how we responded to God's daily care for our lives.

God's love is persistent, ever-present, and very powerful. Our lives are transformed by the presence of love. All true love originates from God. Christians are to receive and replicate this love in their lives so people can know of God's love. When filled with God's love, we can understand things that we could not otherwise understand. The wonderful thing is that the more we know God’s attribute, the more we are going to obey His command to love "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment Matthew 22:37). Friend, love starts with God. One of favorite preachers once said that “Trying to find lasting love without obeying God is like trying to quench thirst by drinking from an empty cup you can go through the motions, but the thirst remains”. We often miss out on this comprehensive picture of God's love because we are searching for it at all the wrong places while taking God’s love for granted.

Friend, love is a big theme in our society. There are countless websites claiming to be able to help you find love. It is really quite interesting because each one of them is loaded with thousands of profiles. People are desperately looking for love. Have you ever had an opportunity to read some of these profiles? People are searching for perfection. (disease free, thin, smart, beautiful, tall, rich or have a great job, good communicator with no relationship baggage, ect.). But God wants you as you are: Sick, imperfect, broken, hurt, full of baggage, lost, confused, rejected. No need to change to find His love because His kind of love will enrich and transform. Glory! There are times in our lives when those who claim to love us refuse to talk to us and ask for space but my dear friend, there are no periods with God's love. God's love does not stop with the sunset or begin with the new week. God love never takes a break. Divine love will always continue throughout time and eternity. In the darkest of nights, there will always be the eternal light of God's love. Glory to God! All you have to do is submit to love by allowing Christ to reside in your heart. He will never leave you. His promise to be with you through your valleys and mountain tops is true. You can count on His great love.

I Surrender to Jesus............

God will Make a Way.............................

"Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert of Shur. For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water. When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah). So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, "What are we to drink?" Then Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet". Exodus 15:22-25

www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

Now we know the story of how God took the children of Israel from slavery out of Egypt victoriously and miraculously (there were the ten plagues and the crossing of the Red Sea), and yet His people still did not completely trust Him. After only three days in the wilderness without water they started to turn against Moses, they started to lose faith because they needed water to stay alive. They wanted to go back to Egypt. Moses cried out to God for help and what did God do? He came through for them once more. He gave Moses instructions. Praise God, and the bitter water turned sweet. It would have been so easy for God to turn His back on them, but again, He gave them an opportunity to see His glory.

. First, the Israelites cried out to Moses, but Moses Cried out to God. We need to know who to cry out to in our times of need. Moses could have gone to Miriam or Aaron to find refuge when the pressure was on, but instead he went to the One who had the power to help. Praise God!
. Second, the story makes me think of the importance of obedience. Moses threw the piece of wood in the water just as God instructed and the water turned sweet.

Sometimes God is waiting on us to take a minor step in order to intervene in the situations and we go to church we hear about it. We turn on the television we hear about it. The car in front of us in traffic carries the same messages on their bumper stickers and we just don't see it. The Holy Spirit tries to lead us to the right path and yet we refuse to change and we complain and wonder why we don't get our victory. We need to learn to be more sensitive to the voice of God and live in obedience. We are serving a great God who has the power to change any situation. There are perks to walking in obedience. There is healing, and deliverance in walking in obedience to the word of God. Get acquainted with His word. Read your Bible until you understand God so well that trusting Him is no longer an option but the only choice.

Friend, learn to trust God. It is a choice worth making. Rely on His might and power and soon the situation of your life will have to change. God is waiting for you to take that simple step of faith. Will you come to Him today? Will you let Him make a way you? Will you accept His love? I pray that you do.

Praise the Lord!

God's Word..........

Meditate ON God's Word.

Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. (Proverbs 4:23)

My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. (Proverbs 4:20)

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. (Psalm 19:14)

www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com

“Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits .Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.”

I recently read this somewhere and I thought it was so interesting because I believe that very few Christians have been taught how important it is to pay close attention to what they think about. There is a reason why the Bible urges to meditate on Gods word. Did you know that you are what you are right now because of what you think about in your heart and what you meditate on? Consequently, the things that you allow your heart to dwell on today are building what you will be for tomorrow and the day after that.

Meditation is a function of the mind and the heart. It is what we think about in our hearts. Whether we realize it or not, we all spend a great amount of our time in some form of meditation. My concern is what we meditate on may or may not be worth while. In fact, what we habitually think about is frequently unhealthy for our growth as Christians and often it is sinful. So, technically, you are living the life you imagine (meditate on/ thought that you could have). Imagine that! LIVING A LIFE OF DEFEAT, DESTRUCTION OR A VICTORIOUS, HEALTHY AND SUCCESSFUL LIFE IS UP TO YOU.

I believe that we can (and must) train ourselves to have a pure thought life. If we do this, we will start to see changes in our attitude and behavior. Our hearts will start to become pure and we will enjoy the pleasure of the Lord.

So pay attention to what you think, the television shows and movies you allow yourself to view. Pay attention to what you read and the people interact with. It is very important to surround yourself with believers. Do not let anyone contaminate your heart with the seeds of unbelief (in God and His Power) and defeat. Run away from negative thinkers. The Bible isn't something that you should just read once in your life, but something that you need to read, re-read, meditate on, speak out, listen to, read it all over again and study as long as you live. The truths in the Bible become clearer and alive as you read them again, and they work their way into your spirit and heart where they give life and hope, and where they build faith. When you stay in the Word of God, you will know what God’s will for your life is and you become familiar with His promises and you will become stronger at resisting the devil. If you meditate on the word of God, you’ll already know what to do when you are tested on your faith. The fact is if you don’t have enough faith in God’s word you won’t be able to please Him enough to get all of His promises, rewards and blessings. All you have to do is start believing that you can meditate on the promises from the Bible and that it will be most beneficial to improving your life. If you want the best for you and your family, then you will meditate on the promises from the Bible. If you call yourself wanting to do God’s will, have peace and joy in your life then yes you will meditate on the promises from the Bible.

"If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you." John 15:7

Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Joshua 1:8

Meditate on the word of God and be blessed.

Praise the Lord!

God is Able!

"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that is at work within us." Ephesians 3:20

Praise the Lord!

Psalm 51

Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me.
4 Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight;
so you are right in your verdict
and justified when you judge.
5 Surely I was sinful at birth,
sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
6 Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb;
you taught me wisdom in that secret place.

7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
8 Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones you have crushed rejoice.
9 Hide your face from my sins
and blot out all my iniquity.

10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
so that sinners will turn back to you.
14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
you who are God my Savior,
and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.
15 Open my lips, Lord,
and my mouth will declare your praise.
16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it;
you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.
17 My sacrifice, O God, is[b] a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart
you, God, will not despise.

18 May it please you to prosper Zion,
to build up the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Then you will delight in the sacrifices of the righteous,
in burnt offerings offered whole;
then bulls will be offered on your altar.

Be Strong!

Be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his power. Ephesians 6:10

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.om
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

We must learn to trust God completely, because He knows and understands all that will happen to us. He has promised to be our refuge and we are not to be afraid, no matter the circumstances or those involved. As we grow in faith and trust in Him we are often challenged to the very depths of our spirit, and are called to stand firm in that faith and trust.

We are faced with a series of battles in this life. To be victorious, one must be strong.

Praise the Lord!

Loving God................

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

www.Bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com

Follow your Heart & believe in yourself” is common advice but the Bible tells us that the heart cannot be trusted "The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9). We hear it so often that we assume that it is sound biblical advice but the Word of God urges us to believe otherwise (He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, Proverb 28:26 and “And you have done worse than your fathers, for behold, each one follows the dictates of his own evil heart, so that no one listens to Me" (Jeremiah 16:12). Following the heart can work to rob us of God's grace and send us blindly down the road that leads to spiritual death.

Believe in oneself is the beginning of disaster. It is dangerous to lean on our own LIMITED ability and it is even more so to be away (OUTSIDE HIS WILL)from God. The Bible calls us to believe in the Omnipotence of God, but can we believe the Bible promises? If you are a believer in Christ, God has everything working for you, and sometimes life challenges may tempt us to believe otherwise but just when we think it is over then “wow” you are lifted up and taken higher. God is faithful and just because we can’t see Him does not change the fact that He is working for us, ordering our steps and making ways to lead us to the next step that will take us to our destination. The Bible gives us countless examples of people who believe in God, and not once was either one of them deceived. Many have tried to separate God's people from Him in many different ways possible but they never succeed because He says, "I will be with him in trouble" (Psalm 9:9, And He was. Men have left their country to follow God (Abraham for example). Some were thrown in the fire (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego). Others were thrown to the lions (Daniel) but God has brought them out successfully through it all. "Our anchor holds." Glory!

Can you believe? God is the same yesterday, today and forever (For I the Lord, I change not, Malachi 3:6). Every believer has the right to claim this promise and live with confidence that God will keep His Word as He always does. (Salvation through Christ carries a lot of weight and privileges. My friend, hang in there with the assurance that whoever you are, wherever you are, whatever you have done, God sees you and cares for you. He is able and willing to pull you through whether fulfilled today or in the next few years, there is nothing but success and victory waiting for those who place their trust in the Lord. When the challenges come, as they often do, and you see absolutely no way out, think miracle, think God’s Omnipotence, think God’s promises, and think God's victory. He has a good track record, you can trust Him. He will not leave you. He loves you so much that He can’t help but saving you. Put your trust in Him. You can and you should believe in God's ability to save both in times of great blessing and adversity. Your future is secured. He doesn't make mistakes. He is working it out, just wait and you will see His glory.

You can believe that God’s Plan for your Life (is a good one) in the midst of adversity.

Praise the Lord!

Mighty God!

"These are only glimpses of what he does. We only hear a whisper of him! Who can understand the thunder of his power?" Job 26:14

www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

God is the great (only) source and Originator of all power. The power of God is His ability to bring to pass whatsoever He pleases, whatsoever His wisdom may direct, and whatsoever the purity of His will may resolve. God's power is like Himself, eternal, incomprehensible and magnificent; it cannot be restrained, nor corrected. Meaning that God's power is like Himself, self-existent, self-sustained. God cannot be manipulated. We cannot force Him into doing what we want. He does whatever pleases Him, according to His timing and purpose.

The election season was quite interesting to me. It doesn't have anything to do with the pursuit of love and justice for all, my friend, who alone has the power to reconcile the world unto Himself, not counting their trespasses against them (2 Cor. 5:19)? Who alone has the power to be both just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus (Rom. 3:26)? Who alone has the power to forgive sins (Mark 2:7)? Who alone has the power to reckon an ungodly man righteous apart from works (Rom. 4:5)? And, who alone has the power to raise the dead to new life and then seat them in the heavenly places in Christ (Eph. 2:5-6)? We have all these spiritual blessings and more through the selfless and unfathomable power of the cross of Jesus Christ.

Do you want to see some real power? Then look upon the cross of Jesus Christ. Don't look forward in anticipation of something God is going to do. First and foremost, look back at what He has done. The testimony of the cross is the power of God. Here is where all the power you will ever need to smell, taste, touch, hear, or see can be found anytime through faith. In it, the gospel itself, there is supernatural power that is personified in Jesus Christ

Let us begin this New Year by leaning on the One who really has power. The One who demonstrated His power by dying on the cross for your sins, resurrected and ascended to heaven where He's making room for you, and soon, real soon, He will return to take you with Him, and you will experience His power, His joy and His love for all eternity. Christ is the gospel, both the subject and the substance of it and the gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Rom. 1:16) and one day, all mankind will acknowledge that Jesus is Lord.

Make a point to praise God daily and be blessed.

Praise the Lord!

Psalm 121

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

Does God Care?

The steps of a man are established by the LORD, And He delights in his way. Psalm 37:23

www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

You are here for a purpose. if you are a believer, God wants you where you are right now for His purpose. Things may no be going the way you would like them to go but you must trust God and scripture took it a little further: We are told to delight and accept our position. You and I have to delight/enjoy our position. We may not understand why we are here and for how long God is going to keeps us here but we must still trust that when the time is right, He will reveal the plan. As a matter of fact, it does not even have to make sense why we are here. Faith in God is exactly what must keep us in position. Rest become easy once we understand that we belong to God and that our steps are ordered. We no longer murmur and complain about our situations. We know that all things work together for our good.

So to have our steps ordered by the Lord means that the Lord is the one directing us, guiding us and leading us. But in order for the Lord to direct our steps, there are some things we ought to do. First of all, we must have faith. The Bible says in Romans 1:17 "the just shall live by faith." and Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.” Also,I Thessalonians 5:17 says "men should always pray and not faint." Perhaps, one of the most important reasons to pray is the fact that God says it.In Jeremiah 33:3, the LORD says, "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know."

Friends, if you are a believer and find yourself in a place of great challenges, don't you worry. God is with you. He will guide you safely out of the wilderness. Trust Him and you will see His glory. He loves you. He cares.

Praise the Lord!

I Need God!

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? Psalm 42:1-2

O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. Psalm 63:1

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com

Have you ever been thirsty for God? Really thirsty for His presence? When a person is thirsty nothing else matters. He does everything he can to crunch that thirst. The Bible give us a few examples of people who were thirsty for God. We know for sure that David was thirsty for God. He said so. He wrote and sang about it. God satisfy his thirst and even called him a man after His heart. In Luke 8:43-47, we meet the woman with the issue of blood. She suffered for twelve years. Yes, she was thirsty and she heard about Jesus. “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” She pursued Jesus, touched him and she was instantly healed. Who can forget Paul passionate words in Philippians 3: 7-10 "But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death." Wow! Paul was thirsty.

When a person thirst for God, prayer, fasting, praise, worship and even going to church are feverishly pursued. You can be completely honest with God. Tell Him how you really feel. "I am thirsty as well Lord. I need you Father. Everything is upside down. I don't know where to go. I don't know what to do. I just looked in the mirror and I did not recognized the person who was starring back at me. I am seeking you face Lord. Do not turn from me. Who do I have but you? I need you more than I ever needed you before. Everything seems grey. Don't hide you face from me." He will hear you. He will touch you.

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13

But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deuteronomy 4:29

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Psalm 32:8

Father in the Holy name of Jesus I come to you today. I want to thank you being a good father who cares a great deal about me. I repent forever putting anyone or anything above you. From now on you are all that I need Father. My soul longs for you. My soul is thirsty for you. Reveal yourself Father. Step in and take control. I surrender to you. I praise you. I honor you for only you are holy and worthy. Amen!

Praise the Lord!

Psalm 144

 Praise be to the LORD my Rock,who trains my hands for war,
my fingers for battle.
2 He is my loving God and my fortress,
my stronghold and my deliverer,
my shield, in whom I take refuge,
who subdues peoples[a] under me.

3 LORD, what are human beings that you care for them,
mere mortals that you think of them?
4 They are like a breath;
their days are like a fleeting shadow.

5 Part your heavens, LORD, and come down;
touch the mountains, so that they smoke.
6 Send forth lightning and scatter the enemy;
shoot your arrows and rout them.
7 Reach down your hand from on high;
deliver me and rescue me
from the mighty waters,
from the hands of foreigners
8 whose mouths are full of lies,
whose right hands are deceitful.

9 I will sing a new song to you, my God;
on the ten-stringed lyre I will make music to you,
10 to the One who gives victory to kings,
who delivers his servant David.

From the deadly sword 11 deliver me;
rescue me from the hands of foreigners
whose mouths are full of lies,
whose right hands are deceitful.

12 Then our sons in their youth
will be like well-nurtured plants,
and our daughters will be like pillars
carved to adorn a palace.
13 Our barns will be filled
with every kind of provision.
Our sheep will increase by thousands,
by tens of thousands in our fields;
14 our oxen will draw heavy loads.[b]
There will be no breaching of walls,
no going into captivity,
no cry of distress in our streets.
15 Blessed is the people of whom this is true;
blessed is the people whose God is the LORD.
