Dealing with Doubt

Moses said to the LORD, "Please, Lord, I'm not a good speaker. I've never been a good speaker, and I'm not now, even though you've spoken to me. I speak slowly, and I become tongue-tied easily." The LORD asked him, "Who gave humans their mouths? Who makes humans unable to talk or hear? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? It is I, the LORD! Now go, and I will help you speak and will teach you what to say." Exodus 4:10-12

Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt but when God called he refused. He used every excuse possible not to accept the mission but under God's guidance he was able to accomplish what he believed would have been impossible. Moses wasn't perfect, he was a murderer who was in hiding when God called him. We can even relate to his fear and reluctance when God ordered him to go back to Egypt and face Pharaoh. He was afraid.

Doubt affects our ability to connect with God. It fills us with uncertainty. Doubt can actually lead to anxiety, frustration, and fear. All of those emotions can have negative influence on our health and more importantly those emotions can have negative impact on our faith and that is how we know that doubt can only come from the enemy (the devil). God loves us and fills us with His wisdom and we ought to be confident of God's provision for us. It should bring us a sense of peace to know that our loving Father already provided for our needs. Every thing that we are not, He is. Meaning: we can relax under His supervision. It is very important to remember that as heir of the Living God we have certain privileges. The moment we were saved, we become member of the King of Kings family permanently.

Has God called you to ministry? Has He called you to be a leader in your community or your church? Has he given you a business plan and yet you have been afraid to take actions? God is telling you to go conquer and deliver. He is with you. You cannot and will not lose. Like Moses, He will teach you to speak. He will surround you with the right people. It's time to trust God and in His ability to order your step. Make getting to know God a priority this coming year because you will not be able to embrace your legacy has a child of God until you get acquainted with Him.

Praise the Lord!

Faith Honors God

God Honors Faith/The Connection

He called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness. (Mat.10:1, 5:23-24).

Why don't we pray anymore? Christians don't believe in the power of prayers and fasting anymore. The healing of the boy with a demon is a miracle described in 3 gospels Mt 9:14-29, Mt 17:14-20, and Luke 9:37-43. Jesus often correlates demons with sicknesses. His job was to preach the gospel, cast out demons and heals the sick, and he sent his disciples (you and I) to do the same.

When someone you love gets sick, whether it is the common cold, diabetes, or cancer, I want you to know that it did not come from God. We are too quick to accept affliction and diseases as the will of God. It is the will of God for His people to be well and to live long prosperous lives and to help win souls for His Kingdoms. It would be impossible to accomplish that from the grave. In fact, most wonders of the devil in the gospels are to produce all kind of sicknesses and diseases. Jesus gave us the power to heal the sick and to cast out demons.

The best thing we can give to our relatives, to our spouse, children, and grand-children, and even our neighbors is our faith and prayers. We don't have to run to anyone (it is alright to ask for support) but try to pray for your family. Some people never even try. Jesus says "Everything is possible to those who believe" Mark 9:23, and then He says: if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." (Mt.17:20).

"Faith in Christ" is the most powerful force of the universe, able to heal the body, to stop storms, to move the mountains of hatred and doubts, and most specially to fill us with love, with Jesus in our hearts, the seed of the love, joy, peace, and security that nothing or nobody can take away (Rom.8:37-39).

Faith in Christ" is something very simple and yet powerful. Do you have any serious problem in your life, rather at home, and/or at work? Try Jesus, even if you are not a Christian, you will see wonders in your life because God honors faith. In fact, I challenge non-Christians all the time to release their faith and ask God for something great and He always come through because faith honors God and it is the only thing that can move the hand of God. God is able and willing; all He needs is "your" faith. It is reported in Mark 6 that only in one occasion in all the Gospels that Jesus "could not" make miracles, and it was in His hometown in Nazareth. Jesus could not do any miracles there. Not even Jesus "could" make miracles when there was no faith! It is faith that gives Him permission to work miracles in your life.

Would you put your faith to work today?

Praise the Lord!
