I Need Jesus!

For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.
1 John 5:4

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.  Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. philippians 4: 4-7

It is okay to need God. We all go through periods of ups and down. Actually, there has never been a time in my life when there were no challenges. How many times have you been in the midst of a trial and you just did not know what to do or you did not know where to turn. In desperation you cried out to God for help. Sometimes in the midst of our troubles we forget what we really have in the Lord Jesus Christ. Although it does always make senseWhen we have issues in our lives that need attention, there are times that God will lead us to do some tough things, to make some tough choices. If you are like me, you'd probably would do anything to escape but the truth is that victory is for those who persevere. God honors faith. My friend, when it gets darker that is exactly when you need to trust God. He is able!

Listen friend, you are never nearer to God than when you are in deep trouble. In times of comfort and ease we tend forget God. In the worst of times, we suddenly remember. When you encounter trouble, know that Is ALWAYS with you. God is Omnipresent. He is  present at the same moment in all. If God is everywhere present, it also means that in all places, I am present to Him. It is comforting to know that all of my troubles are immediately in God presence. Do not make God your last stop but  make Him your first. It is only when you come to the realization that God is the Almighty, the Alpha and the Omega, the Good Shepherd, the Provider and  Healer that you will have the victory. When you are having trouble in your life, know that God is with you and know that your salvation and my position in Jesus Christ is off limits to the world and the flesh and to the devil.

Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you,
I will help you, will uphold you with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10

Praise the Lord!

The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. Psalm 18:2

Jesus is many things to many people. To some He was just a man. To others he was a remarkable man in history, and an effective teacher. Friend, Jesus is Lord. He is my rock, my fortress, my joy, my peace, my healer, my defender, my best friend, my constant companion, my one true love. Jesus is my all in all.

Jesus is the only constant presence in my life. He has proven to be my healer, my fortress, my peace, my joy, my confidant, my strength and my all at different times of my life. I can tell you that everyone in my life, at one point or another has left me down. I know that my family and friends have have my best interest's at heart but they have other responsibilities. To be completely honest, my family and yours along with our friends were not created to be everything to us. I have heard people saying "my spouse is my everything". Nothing can be further from the truth. Despite best intentions, people will fail us. They are not equipped to fulfill the tasks we put on them. They cannot rescue us every time we need them. There is only one person in all history that willingly took on the world and that the Lord Jesus Christ.

The name Jesus means “Jehovah saves”, and the word salvation means to rescue. So Jesus’ mission and purpose of coming to Earth was to save us. He should be our all. He is the One who made it possible to us to have a new life. He the One who save us from eternal damnation. He is indeed our all in all.

If you are discouraged, lonely and have been rejected many times and you are desperately looking for a friend who will welcome you with open arms, allow me to present you Jesus Christ. He is the only One who would put himself on the line for you. He cares about you. I do not know where you find yourself today. Maybe you are alone and your telephone is not rigging. You maybe without a job and resources but you are not alone. Reach out to Christ and He will hear you. He will place you under His wings and He will be your fortress, your peace, your salvation. He is all that you need.

Let us pray.
Father, we thank you for sending Jesus your son to save us. Thank you for your word that is forever sealed in our hearts. Amen.
