Dealing with Doubt

Moses said to the LORD, "Please, Lord, I'm not a good speaker. I've never been a good speaker, and I'm not now, even though you've spoken to me. I speak slowly, and I become tongue-tied easily." The LORD asked him, "Who gave humans their mouths? Who makes humans unable to talk or hear? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? It is I, the LORD! Now go, and I will help you speak and will teach you what to say." Exodus 4:10-12

Moses led the God's people out of Egypt but when God called he refused. He didn't know his own ability. Moses wasn't perfect, he was a murderer. In fact, when God called him, he was in hiding in Midian. We can almost understand his reluctance when God ordered him to go back to Egypt and face Pharaoh. He used every excuse possible not to accept the mission but under God's guidance he was able to accomplish what he believed would have been impossible.

Doubt is destructive and affects our ability to connect with God. It fills us with uncertainty. Doubt can lead to anxiety, frustration, and fear. All of those emotions have the ability to influence our faith negatively. Doubt can only come from the enemy (the devil). God loves us and fills us with His wisdom and we ought to be confident of God's provision for us. It should bring us a sense of peace to know that our loving Father already provided for our needs. Every thing that we are not, God is. Meaning: we can relax, we can have peace under His supervision. It is vital to remember that as heir of the Living God we have certain privileges. The moment we were saved, we become member of the King of Kings family "permanently". Praise the Lord!

Has God called you to ministry? Has He called you to be a leader in your community or your church? Has he given you a business plan and yet you have been afraid to take actions? God is telling you to go conquer and deliver. He is with you. You cannot and will not lose. Like Moses, He will teach you to speak. He will surround you with the right people. It's time to trust God and in His ability to order your step. Make getting to know God a priority because you will not be able to embrace your legacy has a child of God until you get acquainted with Him, and His ability to accomplish the impossible.

Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26

Praise the Lord!
