He is Able!

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you Matthew 7:7

People tend to run left and right when they have a need immediate attention. Some believe if a certain person prays for them then their need will be met. Others believe if someone lays hands on them their problems will disappear. It is a concept that is really hard for me to understand. We can pray for each other. I believe in the power of prayer of agreement, but Christians must understand that the power of prayer is not the result of the person praying, it is rather the power inhabits the God who is being addressed. According to the above scripture, we should have the confidence in approaching God that whatever we ask in Jesus name that is in agreement with His will we shall get it. The problem is that most people don’t know what the will of God is because they don’t read His word. The word of God is the will of God, and it is found in scripture (the Bible). God reveals Himself and all of the plans He has for you: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope”. Jeremiah 29:11

One of the biggest complaints I have heard is that people are praying and yet experiencing little to no victory. Some people pray as a routine but have no real expectations of breakthrough. When you pray you need to know that you receive and you have to acknowledge the fact that you are addressing the Almighty, “No Limits” God. He is able to supply for all of your needs. When you pray expect the results and start praising God in advance. In our devotions series back in April of last year, we were urged to end all prayers with thanksgiving because when we pray, we should expect, BELIEVE/KNOW/BE CERTAIN that we already received. The manifestation of it may not yet be visible, but you and I must be unshaken in our knowledge that the loving Father who didn’t spare His son, is able and willing to change our situations. Amen.

Friend, are all your needs met today? What are you doing about it? “Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need” Hebrews 4:16. This is an invitation to approach the throne of God with confidence. So when you have a need (spiritual, physical, emotional), approach the throne of God in confidence. Use scripture as your back up. God cannot go against His own Word. Whatever you are facing today, bring it to the Lord in prayer. You already know the outcome: He’s going to hear you, and He is able to meet your needs.

Praise the Lord!

Steadfast is for Believers

Therefore my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58

I really do enjoy the Bible because each time I read it I learn about people who were called but resisted, people who trusted God and never regret it. I also learn about both sinners and saints. I learn about people who went through intense sufferings and their amazing victory. The Bible honors men at their best, and honestly assesses them at their worst From Moses to Abraham, to Jonah, Gideon, Ester, Oh! David one of my favorite, and Joseph to mention just a few.

Some of them were weak one moment and fearless the next. Others stupid one moment and smart the next. They believe one minute and doubt the next; At times they worship, and at times they worry; At one moment they are courageous, the next they are cowardly; Sort of like you and I right? They were not always at their best right? Let’s look at some examples:
• Abraham was called but moved somewhere else and later receives a great promise from God, but instead of patiently waiting for God's provision, he goes to bed with Hagar his wife's servant in order to produce a son and we know all the trouble that caused and is causing now.
• Moses receives the most dramatic revelation of God at the bush, but succumbs to fits of anger and did not enter the Promise Land.
• David, the great godly king of Israel's golden years, the one who defeated the giant Goliath as a boy is also known to be an adulterer and a murderer.
• John the Baptist announces the coming of the Messiah, but once imprisoned, his doubts overcome his faith.
• Peter the one who says, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God." (John 6:68, 69) And yet he later denied the Lord not once, not twice but thrice.

Believe it or not I am comforted because I also fail sometimes, I too miss the mark, I too fall down, I too fall short sometimes, and often time I feel like a failure and feel shame but like them, I refuse to give up. I get back up by the grace of God. When David failed, what did he do? He cried out to God, "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." (Psalm 51:10) and I know how God rewarded him. "The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down." (Psalm 145:14).
Joseph, the son of Jacob went through some awful times but his rewards were amazing.

My advice to you is to hold on persevere, hold fast, hang on tight through the ups and downs of this world. Often we let shame and disappointments keep us down but do not give up on His people. He loves us too much to throw in the towel. He sent His son to die to guarantee our victory. Christ already conquered the world on our behalf “in the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world." John 16:33, praise the Lord! The battle is not yours but the Lord. Steadfast a little longer and you will experience the glory of God in due time.

Praise the Lord!

Does your Child Have a biblical Worldview 2?

“Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.” Deuteronomy 4:9

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogsspot.com

The other day I heard a parent (A professing Christian) confesses to her children that her life sucks and every time she prays nothing happens and I was stunned. I could not believe it. The seeds parents are sowing into their children can make them or break them. She told me that her children were her friends (they are 8 and 11 years old) and she has no one else to talk to. What? First of all parents must know that children are not their equals. They may have a friendly relationship but they are not friends in the sense of being each other' confidant. Parents simply cannot forget that their words and actions along with education, upbringing, and the culture they live in, the books they read, the media and movies they watch, and other cultural influences form children worldview. Parents have to be vigilant and pay attention to what their children are exposed to on a regular basis.

Let us be honest, all parents want to have delightful children. All parents want to train their children to be delightful, smart, poised, funny and just good kids, but the truth of the matter is that most parents forget that the purpose of training is to plant the soil of child's heart with an uncompromising and unconditional love of God in order for them to seek him for themselves and be able to build a relationship that comes from the heart. The Bible refers to the heart as the place where good, bad, evil behavior and attitude come from and what we teach the children either by words or actions will determine whether he/she will generate good or evil.

Children cannot develop good behavior and develop a biblical worldview unless they understand that God exists (Heb. 11:6) and that He is the standard by which we measure everything else. God created everything that exists (Gen.1: 1) and he holds everything (Col. 1:17). They must believe the Bible is God's divinely breathed/inspired Word, revealed to mankind (2 Tim. 3:16). They have to know that the fullness of God came to earth and lived in the human body of Jesus Christ (Col. 1:19). They must be aware of the fact that that mankind rebel against God in the Garden of Eden and because of that one act of rebellion, sin and death entered the world (Rom. 5:12-14). They must understand that believing in (John 3:15-19, 5:24), and obeying (Luke 8:21, John 3:20, John 14:21, 23-24), Jesus Christ is the only way to have eternal life or to be reunited with God (Acts 4:10-12). And salvation is a free gift (Romans 6:23) from God that cannot be earned because Jesus completed the work at Calvary (John 19:30). There will be a judgment day (Hebrews 9:27, Matthew 12:36 and Revelation 13:8).

Children need basic understanding of God's Word and the principles it teaches in order to have a biblical worldview. It is the responsibility of parents and all believers to embrace a Christian worldview in order to teach the children by words and examples. Our children need guidance and unless our children receive sound bible teaching, they will not be able to stand firm when temptations come and they will not have biblical worldview.

Parents, be vigilant! Teach your children well and expose them to what is godly and be blessed.

Praise the Lord!

Does your Child Have a Biblical World View?

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

What is a worldview? It is the basis from which people make sense of life and the world (how they see things). People who don’t know God believe that the material world as seen on television, books, Internet and other media is all that exists and all that living is about; whereas a person with a biblical world view knows that the primary reason of his existence is to love, serve, honor and glorify God.

A recent nationwide survey was completed and the results were astonishing! It was determined that only 4 percent of Americans had a "biblical" worldview and only nine percent of professing Christians had a biblical worldview. The stunning statistics worry me. Listen, if the adults’ percentage is so low, How about the children? The Bible instructs us to teach the children the way of the Lord at an early age. What are you doing as a parent? I will ask you again: does your child have a biblical worldview? Does your child understand that “live, love, laugh” (carefree attitude) is not the reason for our being?

I am not entirely surprised by the statistics considering that parents don’t bring their children to church. I often see parents in church parking lot and when asked about the children, most would say that either they wanted to sleep in or playing video game or whatever the excuse may be at the time. Some children may think that God is for the adults or people who are old and about to die. They may even believe that their youth is about living life to the fullest. But, can anyone live life to the fullest without knowing the purpose of life? Do your children know that life as lived by the Kardashians, Jersey Shore and other reality shows should not be used as blueprint of their lives? The Bible offers clear warning concerning the believer’s way of life: "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Romans 12:2).

A biblical worldview is based on the uncompromising word of God. Do you read the Bible? Do you read the Bible to your children? Do you allow the truth found in the Bible to be the basis and the foundation on which you build your family life? Can you please take a moment to read the 12 questions below?

1) Is God real?
2) Is Satan real or a made up?
3)Is God the omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent creator of the world?
4) Is Jesus Christ the Son of God came, died, resurrected and ascended to heaven and one day will come back?
5) Did Jesus Christ live a sin free life?
6) Is there any other way to get to heaven but through Jesus Christ?
7) Is the Bible God or man inspired?
8) Do absolute moral truths exist?
9) Is salvation a gift from God that cannot be earned?
10) Once saved can one ever lose his/her salvation?
11) Does a Christian have a mandate to share his/her faith in Christ with other people?
12) Will there really be a judgment day and should you be concern about hell and heaven?

Do your children know the answers to the above questions? Do you know the answer to those questions? You should at least recognize where your family stands and if your family is not where it should be, it is your responsibility to do something about it quickly. The good news is that “Today is the day of salvation” 2 Corinthians 6:2

As we continue the study on children this week, we will reveal a few simple steps that can help get your family on track and gain a biblical worldview.

Let us pray: And father how grateful we are for your love. Thank you for showing us the truth about you. We thank you for constantly watching over our every move. We ask in the name of Jesus your son, to help us shape our families in ways that are pleasing to you. Thank you for a second chance to do it right. We want to be like you, for only you are Holy, only you are worthy and only you are God.

Praise the Lord!

Psalm 121

1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life;
8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

The Joy of The Lord!

And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

Christians have a legacy that Satan would like to bankrupt: Our spiritual legacy. You and I have the responsibility to not let must him destroy our joy and peace because when he does we will become vulnerable to his attacks. The joy of the Lord is power to resist an attack. Make the determination to keep your joy no matter what you are facing and keep your soul in fortified place. The word of God in Isaiah 61:10 states: “I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels”

Friend, you and I have to stay on top of our situations/circumstances. We need to remind our hearts of what Jesus said in John 16:33, “In the world re shall have tribulation: be of good cheer; I have overcome the world”. Since He has overcome the world for us, we shouldn’t permit the world to overcome us. When tribulation comes, why give up our peace when our peace is in Him and He is our peace? For He is our peace (Ephesians 2:14).Why should we be victimized by the works of the devil when the Son of God, our Savior, Jesus Christ has already destroyed his works? For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil (I John 3:8). Armed with this truth/knowledge, we should be invincible. The father who loves us will not let us be defeated. He already made provision for our defeats (the blood of Christ). Praise the Lord!

Friend, our joy can be challenged but it cannot be taken away. A simple prayerful reading of the word of God help us realize the possibility of victory in any kind of situation. The joy of the Lord is our defense. When we don't have joy, we cannot win because the joy of the Lord is our strength! When challenges come choose to keep your joy.

One of my favorite preachers had this recommendation about joy:
“Maintain the glow, the world needs to see radiant Christians. Let your light shine. Be an exhibit of the fruit of the Spirit Joy. It has transforming power. The fragrance of joyful Christians is a wonderful therapy for a sick world for the joy of the Lord is our strength”.

Praise the Lord!

The “O” Word….

The “O” Word….

Obedience

"But Lord," Gideon replied, "How can I rescue Israel? My clan is the weakest in the whole tribe of Manasseh, and I am the least in my entire family! ” The LORD answered, “I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites, leaving none alive.” Judges 6:15-16

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

Gideon did not know that he had what it takes to save an entire nation but God granted him strength and with God’s favor, he was able to accomplish the impossible. Gideon obeys God’s word. The Bible reports extraordinary accomplishments of ordinary men who obeyed the Lord. Because Moses was obedient to God's calling, he went back to Egypt, and eventually free the Israelites and led them out of slavery. And now so many years had gone by we are still talking about Moses. Abraham obeyed God. He was willing to sacrifice the son that born in his old age and God rewarded him greatly. Obedience to God won the battle of Jericho. Obedience to God is the key to breaking down our walls and obedience is an expression of our love toward God. Jesus says, “If you love me, you will obey what I command. “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. He who does not love me will not obey my teaching" (Jn. 14:15, 23, 24

"This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out His commands. This is love for God: to obey His commands. And His commands are not burdensome…" (1 Jn. 5:3

"So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter" (2 Thess. 2:15)

"What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus" (2 Tim. 1:13).

Clearly obedience is of extreme importance to God. In fact, obedience is mandatory It is not a suggestion but a command. In the old days people who disobeyed God were harshly punished. We seem to have a nonchalant attitude when it comes to obedience nowadays due to the fact we are living in covenant of Grace; but friend, you and I must take God command seriously. First we obey God because we love him and because we know He has our best interests at heart. You and I must understand that God established those commandments in His Word to guide lead us the right way and to keep us from experiencing hurt and suffering because He knows the consequences of disobedience and when we hurts he hurts because he loves so dearly. But also there are great benefits attached to obedience: starting with salvation and eternal life (jn 5:24) as well as other blessings such as: financial prosperity (Dt. 28:11). Success (Joshua 1:8; and long life (Dt. 4:40; 5:33; Prov. 10:27) to just mentioned a few.

Dear friend, let us take God seriously. Let’s not take his grace for granted. Let us decide to embrace all of God’s commands and not only those we are comfortable with or those that are easy to keep. Let us ask the Holy Spirit to help us keep those we struggle with and we know that whatever we ask in prayer will be done. Amen? Amen! Don’t hang out with people who can influence you to disobey God. Hang out with other believers. Make your relationship with God your priority. One of the things that I learned from God dealing with me in that area is that whatever I gave up for God He gave it back to me with interests. He replaced toxics relationships with healthy, rewarding and mutually fulfilling ones. Most of the time it wasn’t easy. I came out of some relationships kicking and screaming. I just did not want to walk away but again and again God showed me His faithfulness and His love and it those painful decisions were always proven to be right. Friend, no sacrifice should be too great. If God can send His son to die for our salvation then giving up a few relationships shouldn’t be a struggle. Like Gideon, God will strengthen us and we will handle the transition victoriously. Let us show God how much we love Him by obeying Him.

Let us pray:
Father how grateful I am for your love and your grace. I realize that I really don’t deserve anything and yet you keep blessing me. Just this morning you woke us up again. Thank you father for who you are. Thank you for continuing to work in me. Thank you for this word this morning. Don’t let it depart from me. Father “I” want to obey you. “I” want to follow all of your rules. Please help me stand firm in my walk with you and if I stumble, help me get back quickly Father for you know my heart. My desire is to please you and to honor you soul, body and spirit. I praise you Father God. I honor your name for only you are worthy. Only you are holy and only you are God.

Christ is Your Lifeline

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing” John 15:5

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.cm
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

I recently attended a wedding and the bride gave the most wonderful speech. She explained how the groom’s love has been the most important thing in her life since she was a young girl. She continued by saying that she had to become his wife because she realized that she was the most successful when their relationship was at its best. His love gave her wings to fly and the courage to conquer a world without limits; but when their relationship was challenged; it was like her world was shattered, it was impossible for her to function. She referred to the groom as her oxygen and her lifeline. It was just a beautiful speech and hardly a dry eye in the audience apart from me; but I sat there thinking she is describing to perfection what a relationship with God should be like. Personally, I am the most successful when I am in communion with God and when I try to go my separate way, I get depressed and discouraged. Everything becomes a struggle.

As I sat in the audience I was reminded of the validity of John 15, without him we surely cannot bear fruit. We can do whatever we want (He created us to be free) but joy and fulfillment without Him is impossible. Our Heavenly Father is omniscient, all knowing. He knew that Adam and Eve’ sin separated us from Him and that is why He sent His son Jesus Christ (and He willingly came) to shed His blood for our salvation, to restore our relationship with our creator, to serve as a bridge, to be our lifeline. Praise the Lord! Overwhelmed by the realization of His undeniable love I finally (also) wept in the audience, but I cried tears of joy. The realization of the value attached to Jesus Christ sacrifice always brings me joy. It’s hard for me to embrace the fact that God would send His son to die “just for me” is overwhelming. No one ever put me first. I am almost invisible in my family. I am a middle child in a family of 9, but Jesus finds me significant/important enough to give His life so can have life. Glory! Can you embrace such love?

Friend, Christ died to give "you" life. If you would get a revelation/understanding of it, your life will never be the same again.

A life without limits can only be experienced when God has complete control of our lives. Our relationship with God should be the most important. He must come first. God is the “Ultimate Provider”. I believe He sits in heaven coming up with different strategies to bless us, to bring down our walls, and making ways to bring us back to Him. Take the time this week to thank Him for loving you so much, for putting up with you for so long, for sending Jesus to be your lifeline.

Praise the Lord!

Wisdom of God

For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of good sense to the godly. He is their shield, protecting those who walk with integrity. Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will know how to find the right course of action every time .For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy. Proverbs 2:6-10

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

It is documented that king Solomon wrote most of the Book of Proverbs. It is the wisdom book. He had wisdom that he received from God. You and can have that same wisdom by studying book of wisdom and by following its advice and most importantly by keeping our focus on God. It is about God. Glory!

It is very important to understand how the devil works. He will "try" to back you into a corner and use whatever opening you allow yourself to have. He cannot take a place you don't give him. By acting like a victim, he will turn you into one and by acting weak, you will become weak. But Jesus died for our victory. We are strong through His strength. If like me you grew up without a parent or both of them, or maybe you grew up without people who care about you enough to lead you right should not make you feel inadequate or unloved in any way. You already have the wisest Father on your side. You are the heir of the King of kings, His resources (all of them) are available to you, used them. Talk to your father, rely on His wisdom and be free. Not having the proper guidance cause us to be indecisive and being indecisive comes directly from the devil. Live with conviction, God's conviction. Stand firm on you father’s Word. Be attentive to His guidance and you will experience a freedom you never thought possible. Praise God!

You may not have parents or friends to rely on for guidance in times of need, your husband may not understand you, but God knows you inside and out, He made you, and He knows exactly what you need and more importantly He knows how to fulfill your heart's desires. Do you need more wisdom ask Him and you shall receive it. "If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking." James 1:5

Would you let Him take care of you today? Could you stop complaining about what you don't have for a moment and enjoy whom you do have? A Wise and loving Father who never slumber nor sleep (Psalms 121:3-4)

Be encouraged, be strong and be wise in Jesus name.

Praise the Lord!

Prayer Works!

You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, because the work of the Son brings glory to the Father. Yes, ask anything in my name, and I will do it! John 14:13-14

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

Why do people run left and right when they have a pressing need. They believe if a certain person pray for them, God will answer and then their need will be met. It is a concept that is really hard for me to understand. We can pray for and with each other for support but the power of prayer is not the result of the person praying, it is manifested by the power resides in the God we address the prayer to and that God is not a respecter of person. What He can do for one, He will also do for another. You can pray for yourself and your family. Feel free to lay a hand on your little ones when you need to do so. According to the above scripture, we should have the confidence in approaching God that whatever we ask in Jesus name that is in agreement with His will (as revealed in the Bible) we shall get it. The problem is that most people don’t know what the will of God is because they don’t read His word. The word of God is the will of God, and it is found in scripture (the Bible). God reveals Himself and all of the plans He has for you and I: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope”. Jeremiah 29:11

I hear people say that they pray all the time and see little no results. Others say that miracles are far and between I don't even know what that means). I can tell you that I see miracles every day in my own life. I can even guess why some are missing out on miracles. They are probably praying wrong. They are praying and yet not expecting the things they pray for to occur. Many believers pray routinely. Friend, there isn't nothing routine about prayer. Talking to our heavenly Father is serious. He listens when his children call on His name. Prayer should be more than a ritual.I see people acting casually when praying they are distracted or looking around and speak without much conviction. When you pray you need to know that you are addressing the Almighty, the “No Limits” God. The omniscient and omnipotent God. The One who is and forever will be. He is more then able to supply for all of your needs. He wants to supply all of your needs both small and big. When you pray believe that you receive, that’s why I told you in our devotions series back in April to end all prayers with thanksgiving because when you pray BELIEVE/KNOW/BE CERTAIN that you already received. You may not see it, but believe with your heart and soul that your loving Father who didn’t spare His own son for your salvation, is able and willing to change your situations. Amen.

Are all your needs met today? If not, why not? What are you doing about it? “Therefore let us draw near (approach boldly) with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need” Hebrews 4:16. This is an invitation to approach the throne of God with confidence. So when you have a need (spiritual, physical, emotional), approach the throne of God in confidence. Use scripture as your back up. Use the name of Jesus. God cannot go against His own Word. It is against His nature. Whatever you are facing today, bring it to the Lord in prayer. You already know the outcome: He’s going to hear you, and meet your needs.

Praise the Lord!

Psalm 27

Psalm 27

Psalm 27 Of David.

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked advance against me to devour[a] me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall.
3 Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.
4 One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
5 For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.
6 Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD.
7 Hear my voice when I call, LORD; be merciful to me and answer me.
8 My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, LORD, I will seek.
9 Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, God my Savior.
10 Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.
11 Teach me your way, LORD; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors.
12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, spouting malicious accusations.
13 I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

Praise the Lord!

I Believe.....

God is powerful and always ready, willing and able to help us and be there for us. The promises in God are for us, His children. His Word is there for us to read, remember and believe. When we believe we will receive. We have seen many records of people who believed God and received His promises throughout the Bible. God has not changed. He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). What He did for others, He will do for you. How big is God? He is not only bigger than any challenge we can face; He is also a loving, caring, promise keeping, and the greatest and only miracle working God. He has promised: "I will never leave you nor forsake you" Hebrews 13:5. The God that we serve is a miracle working God. I know this because He has worked many miracles in my life. Besides the greatest miracle of all (He sent his son Jesus Christ to die for my sin) He has done great things for me. There were many times I didn’t know how I was going to make it and yet He provided all that I need to include unconditional love, financial breakthrough in times of great needs, physical and emotional healing.

Are you a person who has not experienced the miracle working power of God? Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours (Mark 11:24). We can ask anything you want in the name of His son Jesus Christ and He will do it for you. Many are afraid to come to the throne of grace because they believe that God will send them away. They know the kind of life they have been living but God will not do it because you good but he will do it to glorify the son. We serve a forgiving God. He does not give us based on our deeds. He gives us simply because He loves us. Dear friend, you can come boldly to God. Let Him know what you need. He cares about every area of your life. You can tell him anything and everything. Nothing is impossible to Him. He wants to give you that abundant life you crave for and He sent his son to die for you. Surely he can heal every area of your life. Have faith in God. Believe in God miracle working power and you will experience the glory of his love.

Praise the Lord!

Take Authority over the Enemy and Reign

Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you. Luke 10:19

It is true that every Christian has an enemy, a common enemy. The Bible says so and some people still don’t believe it. It is not a mythological figure it is not something Christians say to control anyone. It is truly an unseen enemy whose intent/ purpose is to kill and destroy (John 10). I think it is silly not to acknowledge that he is out there seeking to destroy all believers in every way possible. Many Christians, remain ignorant of his reality. When we know what we dealing with we can better prepare ourselves and take authority given to us by Jesus sacrifice on Calvary. Fortunately in his case, we do not have to fight him because Jesus Christ fought and won many years ago. Our job is to only resist him and to stand on the word of God just like Christ did on the wilderness when He was under attack.

When we look at the devastation of this world it would seem that the devil is winning. There are 27 recorded active wars and the daily news report mothers being killed by their children, husbands and wife killing each other and brothers and sisters against each other. The family unit has taken a different form. It is not what it used to be anymore. It is the works of the devil. The truth is he operates under cover. He does not announce his presence in our life and by the time we realize it, he had already wreak havoc in our lives. In reality the devil has no authority. God has given us dominion over him. When Jesus offered his life on the cross as the sacrifice for the sins of the world, He also redeemed us from Satan’s power and dominion (Col. 2:15 and 1 John 3:8, Luke 10:19). Praise God! Satan is already a defeated enemy! His legal authority was neutralized by the finished/completed work of Jesus Christ on the cross. You can exercise your authority in Jesus name. Praise God!

When you submit to God the devil will free from you. There is no need to fear him. “Greater He who is in you than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Remove everything that is not godly in your life. Turn to God. Why wait? Take authority and reign!

Praise the Lord!

Happy Birthday Frantz P. May God increase you in every area and may you receive His victory over all your challenges. I am certainly proud of you and I am excited about the transformations due to the works of the Holy Spirit in your life. You are a blessing to our family.

God Wants you to Reign Part #3

Part
If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! Matthew 7:11

God is a good father. We hear this so much that some don’t realize the value attached to it. A good father takes care of the needs of his children. Scripture says to seek the kingdom first and everything else will be taken care of but still we worry and struggle. I believe that part of the reason is the fact that we don’t trust God and the other reason is the fact we don’t surrender ourselves fully. We want God will to be done but we want to force it and we want to manipulate our situation as though we wanted to help God a bit. Our heavenly father does not need our help we need his help. Every believer needs to understand that God is able to do extraordinary things. He can see further into the journey. He can see the beginning, the middle and the end. In fact, He designed our journeys. I think when adversity comes believers tend to forget that God is the creator and the source of all things. He made it all and He owns it all. The good news is that He made it all for us to enjoy. 2 Corinthians 1:20 says that all the promises of God are yes and same. He does not want us to be oppressed but He wants us to reign. Praise the Lord!

God wants to take care of you and all of your needs. Guess what? He also wants to fulfill your heart desires but you need to let Him lead. You have to trust that He is able and willing to do what He says He can do. He is going to fulfill every promise He made to you. Will you trust Him? There is no limitation when it comes to God. If you are sick, He is your healer. If you are in financial needs, he is your provider. Whatever the need might be, God can and will fulfill it. When you have God you have it all. When you have God, you have all you need in this world. I don’t care if you are an orphan, you don’t have any brothers and sisters. No one seems to care for you. Your neighbors don’t even know your names but God knew in your mother’s womb and even before you were conceived. He made you and He loves you so much. He wants you to live a worry-free life but a faith-filled life. Feed your faith and starved your worry. Put your faith in God and you will reign as you designed to do.

Friend, Jesus Christ paid for you sin in full on Calvary in order to restore your relationship with the Father. You are made righteous by His blood. There is nothing that can separate from the love God has for you and there is no more condemnation for you. You can approach any situation with the assurance that you will win. You victory was won at Calvary many years ago. You are here by design and not a mistake. You are destined to reign.

Praise the Lord!

God Wants you to Reign 2

Be vigilant be sober and self-controlled. Your enemy the devil walks around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

The Bible calls the devil the greatest deceiver of all. A deceiver works under cover of darkness most of the time. I think Christians under estimate the enemy and that is why they assume they can take him down alone. In reality, Christians don’t have to lift a finger when it comes to the devil. He has no power over them. They don’t have to lift a finger. Jesus has already conquered him, disarmed him of all his powers at the cross and won the victory on their behalf! (Colossians 2:15, Romans 8:37)

The devil is well aware of this and that is why he employs scare tactics and temptations. Jesus Himself had to face Satan in the wilderness but He cast him out with scripture. Jesus has already given us His power, His anointing and His authority to cast out demon. The issue is rather or not Christians are willing to put on the full armor of God, take authority and command the demons to leave in the name of Christ. We are protected and it does not matter what we have done. Some people believe that sin remove our protection, but I am telling you that is not possible. Christ did not die on the cross to save us just so can walk away from us when we sin. He loves us enough to forgive our sin and continue to cover us no matter what we do.

Friend, God wants us to reign. Take authority over your circumstances. Don’t be intimidated by the devil’s tactics. Stand firm, use the Word of God, and utilize the name your Jesus. You are more than a conqueror through Him. Sickness, diseases, pain, rejections, lacks and fear have no place in your life. Make 2011 the year that you finally embrace your inheritance and accept you destiny as a child of God.

Praise the Lord!

God Wants you to Reign!

God Wants you to Reign!
Today's Devotion (1/3/2011) says,

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10

Fear is said to be an unpleasant emotion caused by the anticipation or awareness of imminent danger but fear was recorded in the Bible following Adam and Eve encounter with the devil. Prior to the fall, the first man and woman were living in peace and they were enjoying their relationship with God. Fear is a popular emotion in the world today. People fear the future, fear of the present, some still fear the past, others share fear of war, fear of not being good enough, fear of getting hurt, fear of getting sick, fear of death, fear of dying alone, fear of dying of the same disease that killed a loves one, fear of losing someone or a job Fear is said to be the greatest emotion in the world. This is difficult for me to understand considering that Jesus said: I am leaving you with a gift--peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid. This scripture does not sound like a piece of advice to me. It is more like a command. Jesus ordered his people to resist fear because he has given us His peace. Praise the Lord!

One of my best friends is a physician in a town of 40,000 people. He shared with me that 90 percent of his patients are people who could have been enjoying great health but instead Kidney and liver diseases, ulcers, high blood pressure, depression and digestive issues are ravaging the small town. All of these diseases are stress/fear related. If Jesus gives of peace, then fear, which is the opposite, has to come from the devil. In fact, fear is nothing less than faith in the devil. To fear is to serve the devil. This year, let’s start over. Let’s trust God. Let us trust Him to take care of us. Let us know that He has a plan for our lives and that we are precious to His eyes. He loves us unconditionally. He sent His son to die to give us abundant life. Fear limits us but faith open the windows of opportunity. Abundant life is our inheritance as children of God. Let us claim our inheritance. Let us declare 2011 the year that we reign. God wants us to reign. We have a father who guarantees victory in all our circumstances.

Praise the Lord!

Happy birthday Sarah P. 9 years already since God blessed us with your sweet presence. May the love God be forever engraved in your little heart! May you continue to grow in faith and may you know a life without limits!May you that you are more than a conqueror through Christ! May you understand that God design you to reign!

New Beginning....

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8

I was thinking about new beginning and second chances. Everyone always starts the New Year with the best intentions. Some want to find love, others want to focus on health and career or family and some may even wish to renew their spiritual Relationships with the Creator. I like it when people are full of hope, full of energy and full of optimism. For the first time in many years my church was full to its capacity. The fire department would not allow anyone else in. The sanctuary and all the overflow rooms were full. People want to be at the right place at the right time. But God is not there only on New Year. He is with us every day, and 24/7. The Bible says that the One who watches over you will not slumber or sleep. He is the Great I Am, the one who is and the one to come. Every day can be your new beginning. The Bible says today is the day of salvation and not tomorrow or next year

Friend, as many are taking advantage of today, let remind them that every day and every moment is an opportunity to seek God. He is always present. Scripture reveals that He is actively watching over His Word to perform it. If you miss the opportunity at midnight, don’t worry. It is still time. God loves you. He is waiting to welcome you in His family. What does God want you to find when you come to Him? God wants you to know the love of his family: 1) To receive the love of Christ that brings you into God’s family, 2) To imitate the love of Christ as members of God’s family God has always given us is pure love and pure devotion. 3) God wants you to have eternal life.

My dear friend, all New Year resolutions are futile unless you recognize the One who give you life; The One has the ability to turn dreams into reality. The One who already made plan for you before your birth (Jeremiah 29, Psalm 139).

May you find God! May you experience the intimate relationship that He offers! May you embrace His undeniable and unconditional love! May you find peace that surpasses all intelligence! May you be filled with the Holy Spirit! May your cup be filled to overflow and may you be blessed!

Praise the Lord!
