Jesus Calms the Storm

He got up and rebuked the wind and raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. Where is your faith? He asked his disciples. (Luke 8:24-25).

Jesus was the one who started it. He asked the disciples to go with Him to the other side of the Lake, and fell asleep on the way.
It is not always going to be smooth sailing when God asked you to do something, as a matter of fact, it is going to be dangerous, you will experience hardships, but one thing is sure, you will come out of it, amen?
There are times in our lives when we're going through our storms and it looks as though God is asleep, there will be times that our storms will be so strong that it will seem as though we are about to lose the battle, but the scripture says, that God does not not sleep, He will come to our rescue.
Our God is an almighty God, He is a powerful God, omniscient and omnipotent. He knows all, he is the author and the finisher of all things, and He always finish what He started, amen?
Rest assured, God is in control. Everything in your life (victory, hardships and storms)are for His glory. You must keep the faith. You don't have any trouble; all you need is faith in God.
Jesus is asking you this minute, where is your faith? Why are you worried about your troubles? He is with you, there is NO NEED to fear. If you are going to worry, don't pray; but if you are a praying man or woman of God then DON'T WORRY, amen?

Jesus already calm your storm on Calvary, He already defeated the devil, by faith receive your healing, the restoration of your marriage, the wholeness of your mind, and victory in “ALL” areas of your life in the Holy name of Jesus, amen. God wants to step in, just call on His name, invite Him in, He will do his part. God loves you and He cares about the situations of your life, just talk to Him. He is waiting.
The word of God says, that He knows every string of hair on your head. He knows you before you were born.(notice present tense). HE LOVES YOU, get it? You have nothing to fear.

Praise the Lord!

Lonely No More

“He was in the world, and the world came into being through him; yet the world did not know him. He came to what was his own, and his own people did not accept him”. John 1:10-11

There is a difference between loneliness and being alone. You can be alone without being lonely. There is no reason why you should be overwhelmed when you know Christ. After all, he knows a thing or two about being alone. He was rejected by his own people, misunderstood in his own town. If anyone can fill your lonely days with love and understand, it is Christ. He understands exactly what you are going through because He’s been there. I recently read a quote by the late Switzerland Christian psychiatrist, Dr.Paul Tournier “Loneliness is the most devastating malady of this age”. Now we know that to be true in some cases because people are spending a fortune in trying to find a person to share their lives with. They have places that charge per the hour for companionship. Loneliness is usually the result of a broken promise/a broken heart. The Bible says that Jesus came to heal the broken-hearted. You don’t have to be lonely anymore.

People say, well…”I need a real person. I am a human being” and I say Jesus is real. He understands you better than anyone. You can find refuge in Him and unlike other friends; He will never leave nor forsake you, amen. He wants a relationship with you more than you want one with Him. He cares about your heart; He will not break His promises. He can be your one and only true friend, if you let Him. He can and will fill that void in your heart. His invitation to you has not changed. “Come to me, all you weary and burdened I will give you rest”. Matthew 11:28. He wants to comfort you and lighten the load if you allow Him access to your heart. If I were you, I wouldn’t carry my load by myself, when I really don’t have to.

Choose to rest in the right arm. Stop the pattern of deceit by running to the same type of people who always let you down and break your heart. Jesus love will fulfill your needs. Your longing can only be satisfied by His true love. Turn your back on loneliness for good. Turn your back on brokenness for good. Turn your back on pain for good. Turn your back on a lifetime of lack and say hello to abundance. “I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly”. John 10:10

Will you choose Him today? Make the choice. Confess it loudly. You don’t have to experience loneliness another day of your life.

Praise the Lord!

Take Control of your Thoughts

Therefore, your minds must be clear and ready for action. Place your confidence completely in what God's kindness will bring you when Jesus Christ appears again. 1 Peter 1:13

Many times when we talk and think negative we aren't even conscious of it. When things in life don't turn out for the best it could be because of the way you talk and/or the way you think. What kind of conversations are you having with others? What kind of conversations are you having with yourself? Are you using positive or negative thoughts? The Bible warns us about the danger of ungodly thoughts. It is vital that we keep our minds in agreement with God’s plan and promises.

How do you train your mind to think Godly-thoughts?
1. You can learn to view yourself primarily as God sees you, as his child born-again and citizen of heaven. A child worth dying for (John 3:16).
2. Try to seek first the rule of God in your life, and He will provide for your needs as stated in Matthew 6:33
3. Guard your mind from the influence of the world (beware what we let you let your eyes see on television). Guard both your eyes and mind from worldly influence. Having a friendship with the world is being an enemy of God's. (James 4:4)
4. Be in God's Word so that when a sinful thought comes to your mind (a temptation), you will be able to recognize it and know what appropriate course of action to take. Jesus was tempted but responded to each of Satan's temptation with Scripture. As we do our part the Holy Spirit will assume His position. To be a Christian is to be one with Christ meaning we share His vision and agree with Him about what’s good and evil.
5. Lastly and most importantly, I do not know whether you have already placed your faith in Christ as Savior from your sin or not. This is where you absolutely must start! Without this, there can be no victory over sinful thoughts and temptations and His promises for his children are not for you; nor is the Holy Spirit’s power available to you! Being born again is a must. Turn your life over to God. Acknowledge the truth of Christ.

The Bible is full of truth about the importance of controlling our minds:(2 Cor. 11:2-3), (Rom. 8:5-7), (2 Cor. 10:4-5), (Rom. 1:28), and Colossians 3:1-3 to mention just a few. The person you will be in the future is a direct result of what you are thinking right now. If you don’t like where you’re headed, begin to think godly, positive thoughts, and God will change your destiny. Remember God knows what goes on the inside of you and He sees in the dark. You outside does not impress Him. “In what secret place may a man take cover without my seeing him? says the Lord. Is there any place in heaven or earth where I am not? says the Lord”. Jeremiah 23:24

May God richly bless you as you seek to honor Him with what matters most to Him: who you are inside and not just what you appear to be to others. May God make Jesus’ description of Nathanael true also of you. “Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit!” (John 1:47).

Live a life pleasing to your Holy Father and be blessed.

Praise the Lord!

Where is the Kingdom of God?

Is it in Heaven?

“Nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'there it is,' because the kingdom of God is within you." Luke 17:21

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

The kingdom of God is not something that would come in the future in heaven. The kingdom is active right here, right now on earth. Let’s look at some verses that indicate the kingdom is already actively functioning. In Mark 1:15, John announced, "The time has come. The kingdom of God is near." Both these verbs are in the past perfect tense, which indicates that something has happened and its results continue. The time had come not just for the announcement but also for the kingdom.

We have already been brought into God’s kingdom (Colossians 1:13). We are already receiving a kingdom, (Hebrews 12:28). Christ "has made us to be a kingdom" (Revelation 1:6). We are a holy nation (1 Peter 2:9) already and currently a holy kingdom. The kingdom of God is here, Jesus said. His audience did not need to wait for a conquering Messiah. God is already ruling, and we should be living his way now. We don’t yet possess a territory, but we do come under the reign of God. The kingdom is relevant because it is our future reward, but also because it affects how we live and think in this age. We prepare for the future kingdom by living in it now.

Friend, don’t wait for the return of Christ to claim the kingdom. Start living today. You can live forever in paradise on earth in the name of Jesus, while waiting for His "glorious and imminent return"

Praise the Lord!

Trust God

Trust God

"Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known". Jeremiah 33:3

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

I know sometimes the needs are so great (personal/ physical healing, financial healing, need that love one to be saved; need a love one to receive his/her healing) that people don't even know where to begin, and they are reluctant to pray. They honestly don't know what to ask God. It can get overwhelming, but the one thing to remember is that your life no longer belongs to you once you accepted Christ into your life; you gave a Him permission to take over. You don't have to beg for your blessings, they are already yours. You only need to plead your case with scriptures and that's all. It is very important that you understand that God will answer your prayers. When you come with a request, you are asking Him to do His job. You are asking Him to do what He promised He would do. "I will restore health to you. And your wounds I will heal" Jeremiah 30:17.

God is a great God. He can handle it all. No need is too big or too small for Him. He cares about all that concerns you. Submit all of your difficulties to Him. It does not matter what you are going through, He will answer your prayers. It may seem overwhelming for you to carry alone but bring your burdens to Him, and will take care of it. Take God at His word and don't stop believing. God cannot lie or fail. He will do what He says.

Stop complaining, stop looking at your pain and your situation, spend more time praying, asking God to show you how to be a blessing to others and be blessed.

God wants to teach you great things. Stop focusing on that same familiar area of your life. Let Him work through you instead. It's only when you take the focus off of you that you will allow yourself to see the glory of God. The devil doesn't want you to look on God. He wants you to see what's wrong by looking at yourself. That is why it is so important to focus on Him instead. He is perfection. Nothing is impossible to God. Don't just say it. You need to believe it and experience it. God is able to make you what you never thought you'd be. He has the power to change your situation. Let Him lead.

Praise the Lord

Forgive as the Lord Forgave you

Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life." Titus 3:7

www.bibletourwithjoline.com

When I was a little girl I was stubborn, strong minded to a fault. My mother was a disciplinarian, needless to say that I received multiple spanking a day.I was spared only after apologizing and promising not to repeat my mistakes, that was my first experience with "Grace". Naturally, I was too stubborn and proud to ask for forgiveness and as a result I suffer a lot of unnecessary pain.

Many Christians do not avail themselves of this amazing gift of grace because it seems so simple, just too easy. We live in a society in which everything has a price. It is almost impossible to grasp the concept of grace; either by fear or shame many people don't run back to God to confess their failures. The longer they stay away more defeated they become.

One of the privileges of being a Christian is knowing that regardless of our sins God is always waiting to welcome us with open arms. His love for us is beyond measure. He knows all about us, He knows our heart and mind. I assure you that God is waiting for you right now to confess and repent. "In Him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace". (Ephesians 1:7)

In return, we have to treat others with compassion. Let's learn to forgive as our Father forgives us. Are you having trouble forgiving people right now? Why don't you give them a call, take the first step in obedience to Our Heavenly Father. See,pleasing God should be your purpose and that is greater than your pride.

Friend, let's take a moment to thank God for His Grace.

Let's forgive each other and remember to be a blessing.

Praise the Lord!

You are Justified

Made Righteous by the Blood of Christ

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

I was thinking about the goodness of God this morning and I felt such joy that I thought I should share it with you.
God created a perfect world. He placed everything that man could possibly need in it and then He created mankind to have dominion over it and to enjoy it. What did the first man and woman do? They betrayed His trust by falling for the lie of the devil. What did God do? He spent an incredible amount of time trying to bring us back to Him but nothing was able to it. He finally sent His Son Jesus Christ to give His life and suddenly we were declared righteous and justified. Praise God!

Romans 5:18-19 sums it up so perfectly:
"Yes, Adam's one sin brought condemnation upon everyone, but Christ's one act of righteousness makes all people right in God's sight and gives them life. Because one person disobeyed God, many people became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many people will be made right in God's sight."

Why is righteousness so important to us today? "Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us" (Romans 5:1). It is because of justification that the peace of God can rule in our lives. It is because of the FACT of justification that believers can have assurance of salvation. Without justification we were all hell-bound, eternally separated from God, but we are justified, declared righteous, at the moment of our salvation. By placing our faith in the finished (completed, done) work of Christ on Calvary, we allow God to see us perfect, unblemished. God cannot see the believer’s sins when He looks at him. Jesus blood cover our sins, His blood repair our relationship to our Father. His blood made us righteous. He justified us. Glory!

How much money would pay for eternal life? How much money would you pay to live in a perfect world with no diseases, no suffering, no more TEARS? Jesus made sure that you don’t have to pay a dime, all of you have to do is confess and repent. Praise the Lord! Invite the Lord Jesus Christ into your life today and start a relationship like no other. Share the good news of Christ with a co-worker and/or a friend, a neighbor today and be blessed. Make sure you mention that justification is free. It’s all paid for well over 2000 years ago.

Praise the Lord!

Weapon of our Warfare

The Word of God (#1)

My son, pay attention to my words, Open your ears to what I say. Do not let them depart from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart, because they are life to those who find them and they heal the whole body. Proverbs 4:20-22

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

God's Word is the highest authority. When you place it higher than anything else, your success in life is guaranteed. God is able to keep you from falling into sin but you must submit to His Word. You have to trust God and allow Him to protect you and keep you out of trouble. You have to do your part. Over and over God commands us to read and meditate, He knew that there would be terrible time ahead and the word of God is our strength. The only sure way to rebuke the devil is with the word of God. He was also tempted. Jesus overcame this temptation. He did not yield to Satan’s subtle deception. Jesus responded with God’s Word. The way to fight Satan, when he speaks to us and tempts us in our thoughts, through our flesh, or in our emotions, is by using God’s Word. Jesus said, it is written, THAT MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE, BUT BY EVERY WORD OF GOD (Luke 4:4). Quoting God's Word to Satan caused him to cease this temptation and go on to another. His Word tells every born-again Christian how to live. We are to live by the word of God. We are to live by the Bible. Jesus is our example, consider, He WAS IN ALL POINTS TEMPTED/TESTED LIKE AS WE ARE, YET WITHOUT SIN (Heb 4:15) . You can also do it: “I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).

People say that it is too hard to resist temptation, and I say you can do this. Jesus was tempted while He was on the cross. Satan asked Him to (through one of the thief) come down from the cross and people would believe if he’d do so. Jesus came was so that people would believe in Him. How tempting was that! And what a horrifying thought! If He escaped the cross both you and I would be lost forever. Thank God no temptation could move Jesus to disobey the will of His Father in heaven. In order to be effective in our warfare, you and I must know how to use the Word effectively. It is when, (through) much study and meditation on the Word of God, that word comes to live in us, and consume our thoughts, dwell in our heart, that we will be strong in the Lord. Jesus promised that if we abide in Him, and His Word abides in us, we will ask what we desire, and it will be done for us (John 15:7). This will include victory over Satan tricks.

When you are battling temptation, you can wisely choose to use the weapon God has given you. That weapon is His Word. He has given us a whole arsenal of weapons in His Word. God’s Word says His weapons are Mighty to the pulling down of Strongholds. He has given us a Sword of the spirit (His Word) A Shield of faith (His Word) The Name and the Blood of Jesus, and Authority over the devil.

Praise the Lord!

Lead by Example

Living by the Word of God

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

Do your children believe that the most important in thing in your life is your relationship with God? Do you tell them to live a certain way and yet you live another way? Most people do just that. They spend a life time teaching them right from wrong and yet the children take the road of self-destruction. They often wonder and the answer is simple. They do as you do and not as you say. Our actions speak louder than our word. It is nice to teach your children but they learn the most by watching you. They handle situations as you do. Are you emotional, always ready to lose your temper? Are you a person who thinks before speaking or divulge everything that comes to mind? Do you pray over each and every meal or do you just dig in? There are a million little tings that we do that affect our surrounding and we don’t even realize. It doesn’t matter how many times we tell our children not act as we do because they will most likely do it anyway

We have a responsibility to teach our children to be good soldier of Christ. Serving God is not a grown up thing. It is not something that they would eventually grow into. It is something you need to teach them as early as possible by both your words and actions. It is the will of God. "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6) This tremendous admonition and promise is for parents, prospective parents, grandparents, relatives, and anyone else who has a heart for children! It is absolutely reliable, since “all the promises of God in him are. “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God” 2 Corinthians 1:20. The true and living God, who cannot lie, will keep this promise; our responsibility lies in the first word, train. But before we get to that, we must consider the way. Training also includes examples.

Be adults who put God first by your word and actions. Don’t fall apart when trouble come, fall down on your knees instead. Let your children see that you believe in God’s promise to take care of all of your needs. Spare your children the pain that comes with unbelief, lead them right. Spare them the hurt you experience by resisting God’s will for too long. Don’t let them go astray, spare them the iniquity. Be a great leader in your family and community by allowing your actions to speak louder than your words and be blessed.

Praise the Lord!

Loving God

Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind”. Matthew 22:37

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

I have been doing some research, there are many different reasons for divorce, a few are common: financial issues, poor credit score, lack of commitment, infidelity and a change in priorities but poor communication or lack thereof is the primary reason for divorce in America. People don’t want to live with people who ignore them; the same people who vow to love them and always be there for them. Imagine living your life for a spouse, giving up your own dreams to take care of him/her and yet, he/she never make time for you and often too busy to even acknowledge your love. God love us so much that he sent His son, who gladly came, to give His life for our salvation (John 3:16), and yet some people don’t have the time to communicate with Him. They don’t pray and they don’t meditate on His word. At times, I think that God must feel some sadness to see how much we put the cares of this world ahead of Him, when He ordered us to cast our worries on Him )Psalms 55:22).

It's kind of outrageous that people should treat the creator that brought them into existence in such a way. If saved a person will be spending the rest of eternity with the God that he/she never had time for, a God he/she doesn’t even know, what a tragedy! People think that they can treat God the way they treat each other. They call on Him only under extreme pressure. Most Christians don’t even realize that God desire a relationship with them. He grieved the lack of intimacy and togetherness/alone time. The average lover walks out for lack of communication but the love of God endures forever. His love for us is so great that even though we spend so little time with Him, He still takes care of us. He watches over us like the Good Shepherd that He is. He wants only the very best for us, while at the same time he longs for our love and our time. But sadly few people even give God the time of day. (Time that He gives).

To make it short, I believe that God is looking for those who will be His best friend and closest confidante and with whom He will form an impenetrable circle, and an unbreakable bond. He is looking for those who make time for Him in the middle of their trials, knowing and believing that He is able and will pull them through. He is looking for those who trust Him and make communication with Him a priority. You probably heard this before: “tomorrow is promised to no one”. Make time to communicate with your creator today. Seize the opportunity right now to establish this relationship that you have been searching for.

Praise the Lord!
