I Surrender .....

"Be alert, your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." 1 Peter 5:8

We often discussed the things that made the Devil feel at home in our lives. The list is quite long, but You understand by now, that anything that does not glorify God in your life attracts the Devil.

You can pray, you can fast, you can ask people to lay hands on you and cast the Devil out of your life, but I nothing will change until you repent and make the quality decision to stop Satan's influence over your life. You have to be willing. Now it does not matter what area of your life need the change, it can be victory over sins, it can be restoration of your mind and soul, or physical health, it can be emotional wholeness, nothing will change until you make the cautious decision to get "your" victory. Remember, Jesus had asked the man at the pool of Bethesda, wilt thou be whole? (John 5:6). He did not ask him would you like to be well. The man had to be willing in order to receive healing.

God sent Jesus to the cross to carry our burdens, to give us victory over sins and to make us whole. He bore our sicknesses, He carried our diseases, and He already won every battle "you are facing by His death on Calvary, but it takes decision from your part to receive the victory you are searching for. It requires determination on your part before you can actually achieve victory. Decide to be free today.

Praise the Lord!

God will Make a Way..............

"Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert of Shur. For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water. When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah). So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, "What are we to drink?" Then Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet". Exodus 15:22-25

Now we know the story of how God took the children of Israel from slavery out of Egypt victoriously and miraculously (there were the ten plagues and the crossing of the Red Sea), and yet His people still did not completely trust Him. After only three days in the wilderness without water they started to turn against Moses, they started to lose faith because they needed water to stay alive. They wanted to go back to Egypt. Moses cried out to God for help and what did God do? He came through for them once more. He gave Moses instructions. Praise God, and the bitter water turned sweet. It would have been so easy for God to turn His back on them, but again, He gave them an opportunity to see His glory.

. First, the Israelites cried out to Moses, but Moses Cried out to God. We need to know who to cry out to in our times of need. Moses could have gone to Miriam or Aaron to find refuge when the pressure was on, but instead he went to the One who had the power to help. Praise God!
. Second, the story makes me think of the importance of obedience. Moses threw the piece of wood in the water just as God instructed and the water turned sweet.

Sometimes God is waiting on us to take a minor step in order to intervene in the situations and we go to church we hear about it. We turn on the television we hear about it. The car in front of us in traffic carries the same messages on their bumper stickers and we just don't see it. The Holy Spirit tries to lead us to the right path and yet we refuse to change and we complain and wonder why we don't get our victory. We need to learn to be more sensitive to the voice of God and live in obedience. We are serving a great God who has the power to change any situation. There are perks to walking in obedience. There is healing, and deliverance in walking in obedience to the word of God. Get acquainted with His word. Read your Bible until you understand God so well that trusting Him is no longer an option but the only choice.

Friend, learn to trust God. It is a choice worth making. Rely on His might and power and soon the situation of your life will have to change. God is waiting for you to take that simple step of faith. Will you come to Him today? Will you let Him make a way you? Will you accept His love? I pray that you do.

Praise the Lord!

The Word God.................

Meditate ON God's Word.

Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. (Proverbs 4:23)

My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. (Proverbs 4:20)

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. (Psalm 19:14)

“Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits .Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.”

I recently read this somewhere and I thought it was so interesting because I believe that very few Christians have been taught how important it is to pay close attention to what they think about. There is a reason why the Bible urges to meditate on Gods word. Did you know that you are what you are right now because of what you think about in your heart and what you meditate on? Consequently, the things that you allow your heart to dwell on today are building what you will be for tomorrow and the day after that.

Meditation is a function of the mind and the heart. It is what we think about in our hearts. Whether we realize it or not, we all spend a great amount of our time in some form of meditation. My concern is what we meditate on may or may not be worth while. In fact, what we habitually think about is frequently unhealthy for our growth as Christians and often it is sinful. So, technically, you are living the life you imagine (meditate on/ thought that you could have). Imagine that! LIVING A LIFE OF DEFEAT, DESTRUCTION OR A VICTORIOUS, HEALTHY AND SUCCESSFUL LIFE IS UP TO YOU.

I believe that we can (and must) train ourselves to have a pure thought life. If we do this, we will start to see changes in our attitude and behavior. Our hearts will start to become pure and we will enjoy the pleasure of the Lord.

So pay attention to what you think, the television shows and movies you allow yourself to view. Pay attention to what you read and the people interact with. It is very important to surround yourself with believers. Do not let anyone contaminate your heart with the seeds of unbelief (in God and His Power) and defeat. Run away from negative thinkers. The Bible isn't something that you should just read once in your life, but something that you need to read, re-read, meditate on, speak out, listen to, read it all over again and study as long as you live. The truths in the Bible become clearer and alive as you read them again, and they work their way into your spirit and heart where they give life and hope, and where they build faith. When you stay in the Word of God, you will know what God’s will for your life is and you become familiar with His promises and you will become stronger at resisting the devil. If you meditate on the word of God, you’ll already know what to do when you are tested on your faith. The fact is if you don’t have enough faith in God’s word you won’t be able to please Him enough to get all of His promises, rewards and blessings. All you have to do is start believing that you can meditate on the promises from the Bible and that it will be most beneficial to improving your life. If you want the best for you and your family, then you will meditate on the promises from the Bible. If you call yourself wanting to do God’s will, have peace and joy in your life then yes you will meditate on the promises from the Bible.

"If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you." John 15:7

Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Joshua 1:8

Meditate on the word of God and be blessed.

Praise the Lord!

Psalm 51

Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me.
4 Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight;
so you are right in your verdict
and justified when you judge.
5 Surely I was sinful at birth,
sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
6 Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb;
you taught me wisdom in that secret place.

7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
8 Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones you have crushed rejoice.
9 Hide your face from my sins
and blot out all my iniquity.

10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
so that sinners will turn back to you.
14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
you who are God my Savior,
and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.
15 Open my lips, Lord,
and my mouth will declare your praise.
16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it;
you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.
17 My sacrifice, O God, is[b] a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart
you, God, will not despise.

18 May it please you to prosper Zion,
to build up the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Then you will delight in the sacrifices of the righteous,
in burnt offerings offered whole;
then bulls will be offered on your altar.
