In God Alone

Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Psalm 62"1

Those who trust in the Lord are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever. As the mountains surround and protect Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds and protects his people, both now and forever. Psalm 125:1-2

To rely on God is to trust completely to His and to know (be certain/having no doubts) that His plan for "your" life is a good one regardless of what you are going through at this moment; therefore, no matter what circumstances you're facing, remain calm because there is no worry in trust. When we really trust God, Assurance takes the place of fear. There is no complaining in trust, so when you are going through the ups and down of living, you have to pray and remain calm knowing undoubtedly that help is the way. Trust is the little voice that whispers to your soul that it going to work out fine. You need to let that little voice speak louder. You have to learn to recognize it. Those who trust in God are never defeated; down but not broken, praise God.

I often wonder why is it so difficult for us to trust God when trusting the wrong people comes so naturally. Why can't we trust our maker, our creator? Could it be because we feel that we don't deserve His love? God doesn't love us because we are perfect. He loved us when we were lost, hell bound. That is why He sent His son Jesus Christ to carry our infirmities, fear and lack to the cross and die for our transgressions so we can inherit eternal life. God loves us despite who we are. It does not matter what you have done, where you are right now. He still loves "you". He cares about your actual situation. He wants to bring the help you need, if you'd just trust Him and stop worrying. Can you do that?

Let us pray... Loving Father who's always watching over me, I thank you for your unconditional love and your compassion. I thank you for loving me when I don't even understand how to love myself. My heart is finally receptive and I accept your love. I thank you for your promise of never leaving me alone. I love you Father God and I surrender my being, my destiny to your command. Feel free to invade my privacy at your convenience and I will never worry as long as you are still my loving Father and I your precious child. Help me know you better each day. I repent for ever doubting your love in the past. Help me be an instrument of your love so I will not cause pain to others. In Jesus mighty name, approve my humble prayer. Amen!

Clothed with Christ

"For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." Galatians 3:27-29

www.bibletourwithjoline.com/dailydevotions.asp
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

When was the last time you woke up in the middle of the night just to tell your father a secret? When was the last time you got on your knees just to give Him the "411" on what's been going on in your life? When was the last time you tell Him how much you love Him for saving you from eternal death by sending His son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for you? The Bible says "that in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.... For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers.... will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:37-39)

This amazing truth has become reality to all who believe and follow Jesus. When you put on His armor, His life surrounds you, keeping you safe, close to Himself, and free to be His friend. So "put on Christ." (Galatians 3:27) He is your victory! Remember, God has promised us victory in the midst of trials, not immunity from pain. So "do not be dismayed at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you, but rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ..." (1 Peter 4:12-13)

The kind of love that Jesus has for us is worthy of praise, even our pain and sufferings seems meaningless when we think of the unconditional love of Christ for the church, along with what awaiting us when we finally see Him face to face and have the privilege of putting our arms around him and to thank Him for His goodness.

Let's pray together
Heavenly father I thank you for showing me the truth about you, knowing you has been a source of joy. Thank you for the gift of life through your son Jesus Christ. Thank you for being the lover of my soul. Thank you for being the Shepherd who leads me beside the still waters and makes me lie down in green pastures. Thank you for being my loving father and all that need to get through each and every day. I love you; accept my prayer and praise in Jesus Holy name. Amen.

Submit to the Will of God

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

To live the will of God, you must know what it is. The will of God is "what God intends to do in and through your life for His glory." Most of God's will is revealed in the Scriptures (Bible) and some of it is revealed piece by piece as you grow in faith and in your relationship with God ("In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.") Proverbs 3:5-6. As you seek God's will through your journey, He will reveal Himself to you. Glory! I promise you, it is the sweetest thing. When you realize God's presence in your daily living, you can truly live a life without limit. You can go from victim to victor. "I am the Lord, your God, who teaches you what is best for you!" (Isaiah 48:17) and Romans 12 tells us that God's will is "good." Do you think of the Lord's will as good? I don't know anyone who wants to keep repeating the same mistakes. God really wants the best for us when He gives us His will. You're on to something good when you find the will of God for you and when you start living in His will, your life will forever changed. God's will is the only plan for a successful life.

I have struggled with the issue of submitting my will to God most of my life. It is not easy to surrender, but after a (long) list of predictable but preventable mistakes, I have decided that God's word is true, that His will truly is "good, pleasing, and perfect." I have come to the place where I finally understand life does not have to be so hard. I decided to live a life as a soldier of Christ. I have learned to resist certain temptations (still struggling with a few but I am winning with Christ' support). I love God and I have decided to start showing it by my way of life.

Friend, you can say you love God all day long but if you are not living a sacrificial life and start resisting temptation then how much do you really love him? Love come with certain sacrifices and you have to be willing to make them. The will of God comes from the heart of a loving heavenly father and therefore it cannot be anything but "good, pleasing, and perfect" for you and for me. You cannot run away when the going gets tough. God created us perfectly. We have what it takes to go through trials and come out of them victoriously. We have the Word of God which is his will. "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

Are you going through the same issues? Are you going in circle? I don't care what you are going through today, there is a way out. Christ lay His life down so you and I can have access to the perfect will of God.

Let's pray this simple prayer: Lord, make me think about your will the same way you do. I want to love the will of God, embrace the will of God and live the will of God. Lord Jesus I want to submit to the will of God no matter what and Lord I believe you have the power to make it so. I trust you to be the Good Shepherd and I know you will lead me to green pastures. Thank you. for answering my prayer. Amen!

Praise the Lord!

Meaningless......

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:26

Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless. Ecclesiastes 5:10

www.bibletourwithjoline.com.dailydevotion.asp
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

Money is associate with power in today' society. Obviously we need money to provide for our families and ourselves, but the question remains, how much importance you give to your wealth and riches? Do they go beyond serving you or are you serving them? Do you see them with the highest regard and value? Are you consumed by the need to gather more and more of them? Do they hold the most important place in your life? Dear friend, I pray that you know that all the riches in the world (money, jewelry, expensive cars, boats, gigantic houses, ect.) will not be able to save you when it matters the most. You and I came to this world empty handed and that is the exact way we will leave it. The legacy that we leave behind for our family, community and humanity is what really meaningful. The only question is what kind of legacy would you like to leave? As important as it is to leave a legacy for your children and grandchildren (Proverbs 13: 22 says a wise man leaves an inheritance for his children's children), it is even more vital to ensure that they know God. Friend without God, everything is meaningless.

When you know God, you will understand that life is not about the pursuit of wealth but it is about serving others. When you know God, you will be able to see Him in the eyes of a starving child and you will be compelled to do something about it. To know God is to receive the person He sent: Jesus Christ. If you and I are to truly know God, we have to acknowledge Jesus. Any religion that separates knowledge of God apart from Christ is not presenting complete and sound teaching. To know God is to know Jesus and Jesus Christ did not only teach us what was important but He also demonstrated "servanthood" when he was living among us. There are countless accounts of the man who would later be known as the King of kings serving the less fortunate. In fact, His purpose for coming into this world was to give the greatest gift of all: His own life. Let your family know that riches are to be enjoyed but life has even more value when riches are used to bless others. Wealth without God is meaningless.

Friend, I can appreciate a nice house with a stunning view just like anyone. I am not saying that enjoying material things is wrong. There is a definite difference between owning things and letting things own you. Scholars and Theologians agree that the book of Ecclesiastes was most likely written by Salomon, the son of king David and the richest man to ever lived on this earth. Salomon says wealth is meaningless. Wisdom is meaningless. Pleasure is meaningless. Work is meaningless. Time is meaningless. Advancement is meaningless. A man who had everything acknowledged that without God everything else is meaningless.

So according to the richest man ever lived, owning a collection of luxurious cars is meaningless. Owning the most exotic islands is meaningless. Having the best education is meaningless. Having the latest Hermes' hand bag is meaningless. Having the most thoughtful spouse is meaningless. No matter what we own there will always be a sense of dissatisfaction. It will never be enough. God created us with a need for Him and only Him can fill that void. We have heard of many rich people who died of loneliness, and there are those who even put an end to their lives. Salomon was never against wealth but He was a man who asked for wisdom over riches and God decided to bless him with everything including wisdom. We can learn much from Salomon. Knowing God is more meaningful than anything and everything in this world and life without God is meaningless.

Friend, I need to ask you the following questions: will you start today by giving your life to God? Will you make the decision to be a servant? Will you find time in your busy schedule to do something for someone less fortunate or will you continue to serve self and self alone? Will you continue to live and meaningless life or will you chose a life of purpose? I pray that you will make the right choice. One day soon, you and I will have to come before God and we have to account for our time on this earth and whether you believe it or not does not even matter. It will happen. What will you say to Him? What excuse will you use? I don't think "I was too busy enjoying life" will be a good enough reason for not helping others. Do you?

Father, in Jesus name, help me find a meaningful way to live. I want to please you and you alone and Father, less of me and more of you every day. Thank you for answering my prayer. Amen!

Parise the Lord!

What is Going on with the Body of Christ?

But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:15-16

Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17

www.bibletourwithjoline.com/dailydevotions.asp
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com

My dear friend, you must understand that every sin damages the entire body; when a member of the body of Christ does something that is not honorable, it affects all of us. There has been what I call an epidemic of misconduct in the church that ranges from sexual immorality, molestation, boat load of divorces, to drunkenness and even drug abuse. Let us be honest, Christian have a tendency to sweep things under the rug. It is easier to hide thing as opposed to dealing with them. Certainly not the example of Christ. He came to bring darkness to light. There comes a time when we have to be serious about the cause of holiness. God is Holy and he wants the body of Christ to be like Him. We cannot and should no longer accept being human as an excuse for dwelling in sin. Christ's death forever change our sinful nature. It is your responsibility and mine to strive for holiness, and to look like our Father. We should not live our lives like others from various reality shows. We must keep certain standards. We should not be afraid to stand for core values. It makes me so angry when the voice of immorality and is louder the holiness! We are in the world but we are not of this world.

I suppose Matthew 5:13-14 express it best: “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house." God does not tolerate the destruction of His house (holy temple). Many years ago when Paul was addressing the Corinthians he points out that sexual immorality and drunkenness as being damaging to the body. In fact, we know that every form of sin hurts the body of Christ, the temple of God. This day and age, we seem to be too tolerant of the destruction of the Church and we don't hold our leaders accountable for their behaviors. We rationalize it and claim that they aren't hurting anyone but themselves but as we recently found out, no sin is ever private. Jesus died openly and publicly for our sins.

The church has taken a beating this past year alone with issues of sexual immorality. The church gets victimized when leaders neglect fall into the lifestyle of the secular world. The prophet Malachi faced similar problem. When the leaders no longer learned and speak of the word of God, they failed to reprimand, inspire and encourage the people of God. They twisted the Law of God to serve their own ends and purposes. They do so to keep to increase membership. Holiness is not a popular topic in many congregations. Leaders are more interested in expanding and getting wealthy than the dispensation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. many of them have been married multiple times with many lovers and homosexuality is rampant in the Christian community. Malachi tells us that marrying unbelieving women, divorcing the wife of one's youth, and the worship of other gods (sex, money and position) is an act of treachery against the whole body.
Each time that the church chooses not to call its members to repentance, the body is wounded. Who’s really standing up for the Lord? It is your responsibility and mine to do so. Let us stand together for holiness and righteousness. Let’s go back to the business of soul seeking and not membership growing and getting rich. Let us together make the choice to build up our church as instructed by our lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Praise the lord!

Experience the Peace of God

The disciples went and woke him, saying master, Master we are going to drown! He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. (Luke 8: 24)

www.bibletourwithjoline.com/dailydevotions.asp
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

This is a story that you most likely know well: Jesus told his disciples to go the other side of the Sea of Galilee with him, as they sailed, He fell asleep. During the trip, a large storm comes up. It was so large that the boat threatens to sink. The disciples thought that they were all going to die, but they remember that Jesus was with them, they went down and woke him up and He ordered the storm to stop, and immediately (naturally) all was calm.

I believe that it was part of Christ's mission to teach us how to have dominion over the storms of our lives. Everything that He accomplished while living among us was to teach that same lesson. Christ is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent; He knew what was happening. Nothing was ever by accident and nothing ever caught Him by surprise. He could have been easy to spare the disciples all the aggravations but it did not. One has to ask why? I do not know for sure, but I think that He let them face storms for the same purpose we go through our storms today: He was trying to teach them and us how to deal with the storms. Christ did not call on God the Father to calm the storm; He did not panic or go into hiding. He calmly, unmoved, unshaken, but confidently ordered the storm to stop on His own authority. It is awesome to have a Savior who can even control nature. Friend, you and I do not have to let our challenges overwhelm us. We can stay calm. We too can experience God kind of peace because He is always in control.

God created us to have dominion over the creation. He created us to be like Him in every way. He created us to be (little gods) on earth. We have the power and the ability to accomplish amazing things if we would just believe Philippians 4:13. Friends if we would just own up to our identity as sons and daughters of God, we would do great things also. We are heirs of the Almighty God. Glory! We don’t bow down before our obstacles but we overcome them. We don’t panic in front of our walls but we bring them down in the name of Jesus.

Friend, There is something about Jesus that brings changes. His presence brings calm and peace. You can sleep like a baby with Jesus in your life. There is no need to fear in the midst of chaos and hardship of our daily lives. I don’t know what kind of situation you are facing and I don’t know how dangerous and desperate your situation seems to be, but I know that Jesus' presence will bring you peace. Friend, when you encounter hardships you can do what Christ did. He is our example. Take dominance over the storms and you will experience great miracles.

The disciples made the mistake of calling on the Lord at the last minute. Talk to God on a daily basis and know a peace you never thought possible.

Praise the Lord!

All Things are Possible

Jesus said to him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes. Mark 9:23

www.bibletourwithjoline.com/dailydevotions.asp
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

A few years ago, the local college where I used to teach allowed the students to watch the inaugural of president Obama in the classroom, and the common theme in my class discussions was “all things are possible if you believe”. All of a sudden, my students believe that they can now reach mountains and live a life without limitations, it is an attitude that brings me much joy; but my question to them was, all things are possible if you believe.....in what? It is great to make such powerful statement but something is definitely missing from it. Don't you think? It is not a complete sentence. The majority of the adults students stated that the missing part of the statement is "if you believe in yourself." Really if you believe in yourself? Can anyone live a minute longer, if he believes in himself? I think not. You can believe in yourself by acknowledging the grace of God given to you through the savior Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that all things are made possible. Jesus alone can provide that boost that cross us from a life of limitation to a limitless possibilities.

Friend, do you believe that Jesus is in action in your life right this moment, by His Spirit, lift burdens, breathe life into your forgotten dreams, those that were impossible to come to completion without him? Do you believe in His ability to do exceedingly abundantly far above what you can ask or think even far beyond your wildest dreams? Do you believe He remains the same today, yesterday and forever? Do you believe He has all power in heaven and on earth to do according to His will? Why do you still worry about health? You say you believe but do you really? God can heal you inside and out. He is able. Do you believe? Decide this year that Cancer, Diabetes and High Blood Pressure are not in charge. God should be the driving force in your life. Only God is worthy and only Him makes all things possible to those who believe. He listens when we pray according to His will. Praise the lord! And friend, this is exactly why you and I need to know His will so that we can pray according to His will. It is only when you believe in God’s power and abilities your confidence to move mountains will be boosted. When you know His will, you pray His Word and as you pray His will, and it is your faith in Him that causes us to surmount all barriers.

Friend, all things are possible when you believe......in Christ and Christ alone. The doors of impossibilities can only be taken down upon His command. Jesus is Lord!

Praise the Lord!

Jehovah still Provides......

As the two walked on together, Isaac spoke to his father Abraham. "Father!" he said. "Yes, son," he replied. Isaac continued, "Here are the fire and the wood, but where is the sheep for the holocaust?" "Son," Abraham answered, "God himself will provide the sheep for the holocaust." Then the two continued going forward. Genesis 22:7-8

www.bibletourwithjoline.org/dailydevotions
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

You cannot know God until you know His names. He does not see into the future. He knows it. Abraham trusted God to provide a lamb for the sacrifice, and just when he was about to kill his own (only son), God stepped in and offer a substitute. God is indeed our provider and we should trust Him to take care of all of our needs. I absolutely love the way God steps in my own life. Every time I think that it is over, every time I think that I am at the end of my rope, He releases another inch of his ever-long rope. "My son God will provide" was Abraham reply to Isaac and in due time God did provide, and then Abraham honored him by calling Him the provider.

God had provided for him in the time of his extremity, so He will provide for all of those that put their trust in Him. The God of Abraham is alive, and let His name be praised, and let us rest assured that, as certainly as Abraham, Jacob and Daniel in distress, that when there seemed to be no way of escape, the Lord appeared for them and was seen , even so shall it be with you and I when times of extreme pressure come. We shall all be tried and tested, but in our utmost need God will see to our deliverance, if we would let faith have her perfect work, and will pray and quietly await the moment when the Lord shall be seen working His glorious provision. The Lord is the Preserver and the Provider of men. I pray and long for all of us to get this truth firmly planted in our hearts. I pray that you let yourself be reminded of Abraham and all of those before us who trusted God to be their provider and were not even once deceived.

So friend, what is your pressing need this morning? Whatever it may be, God has it in unlimited supply and He wants to provide it for His glory. He wants to give it to you more than you want to receive it. God's wealth is at your disposal; His healing (emotional, physical and spiritual) is at your disposal. Don't continue to torture yourself by refusing to take God at His word. You are His child, His creation. You are His personal property, and He desires to give you His perpetual care and complete attention. I want to remind you that The God of Abraham, Daniel and Jacob is still in perfect control. He is able and willing to do all things. You must take the initial step to believe His word and you need to remind yourself every morning that you serve Jehovah Jireh.

Praise the Lord!

How Much Are You Worth?

"Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood." Acts 20:28

For as much as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 1 Peter 1:18-19

www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.com/dailydevotions.asp
www.bibletouravecvjoline.blogspot.com

All the money in the world could not pay for our freedom. Friend, you and I must be extremely valuable because we were bought by the blood of Christ. Dear friend, your bank account balance, your race and your Ivy league education do not determine your value but the blood of Jesus does. Maybe you are the only one in your family without a professional degree, you could be the only one without a bank account but there is no comparison to your worth in blood. You are valuable, worthy of Christ love and worthy of dying for. Glory to God! The highest ransom ever recorded in history was for you. All hope of heaven and forgiveness of sin are based upon the blood of Jesus Christ and in his humiliating death on the cross. "Indeed according to the law almost everything was purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness." Heb. 9:22

Friend, the blood of Jesus changes your destiny. When you become born again you were forever changed and when you start turning your life around you will lose certain friends and family members is a minor price to pay. The blood sacrifice reunites God and you (Col. 1:20-22, Eph. 2:16. The sacrificial blood of Christ (Jn 3:16) should mean something to you for it did cost our heavenly Father to sacrifice His only Begotten Son. At Calvary, God separated Himself from His Son, in order that we might never be separated from Him. People think that there could be no redemption because of everything they have done and I am telling you that nobody is too sinful; nobody is too far astray that the blood of Christ cannot cleanse and save. "Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." (Isaiah 1:18). You are worth something big. You were not bought at a discounted or marked down price. Christ paid the full going price on the cross. Glory to God! It doesn't matter what anybody thinks about you, and it does not matter what you think about yourself. You are a WORTHY member in the family of God.

I share with you on previous occasions the challenges I faced with my caffeine addiction phase and I can assure you that when people try to break any addiction, they will go through a period where they have intense cravings for just one more, but it is important to break free in order to be healthy but then come the withdrawal symptoms (those are the worst) the headaches, dizziness, shakes and the over all sick feeling are terrifying and this is because the body has adjusted to the poison, and it literally feels as if it cannot survive without it. Coming out of it was a very painful experience. Many people don't quit their bad habits because of the withdrawal symptoms period.

What is your struggle: is it alcohol, sex, love of drugs and/or money? The blood of Christ can set you free. It is time to start acting like the special, worthy child of God that you are. Turn away from sinful lifestyle is not easy but you can do it. All relationships require some sort of sacrifices. It's time to turn away from the things that are keeping you from having a relationship with Christ. The withdrawal symptoms are not fun but It would be more painful at the end if you keep feeding the addiction. In my case, with efforts and prayers I conquer my addiction. I still crave it but it has become easier to resist. It has been many years since I successfully triumphed over the caffeine addiction, but just last night I was tempted to have just a (little) sip. You know what I am saying? It is the same with our sinning habits. Once you start making an effort to change, it will be difficult at first but it will become easier to resist with time. You may stumble here and there (withdrawal symptom) but the Holy Spirit will help you get back up (victory).

Dear friend, you are a worthy child of God, start living as such. Will you tell someone struggling with self esteem issues, and/or caffeine, alcohol, sex addiction about the blood of Christ today? The blood set all captives free.

Praise the Lord!

Weapons of Our Warfare

#1 The Word of God

My son, pay attention to my words, Open your ears to what I say. Do not let them depart from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart, because they are life to those who find them and they heal the whole body. Proverbs 4:20-22

www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

God's Word is the highest authority, and when you place it higher than anything else, your peace of mind is guaranteed. God is able to keep you from falling into sin but you must submit to His Word. Submission is a requirement. You have to trust God and allow Him to protect you and keep you out of trouble. You have to do your part. Over and over the word of God commands us to read and meditate. God knew that there would be terrible moments ahead and the word of God is our solace and our only source of strength. The only sure way to rebuke the devil is with submission to God and the word of God. Jesus overcame His temptation. He did not fall for Satan's deception. Jesus responded each time with God's Word. Jesus is our example in every way; therefore, the way to fight Satan, when he speaks to us and tempts us in our thoughts, body or in our emotions, is by using God's Word. Jesus said, it is written, THAT MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE, BUT BY EVERY WORD OF GOD (Luke 4:4). Friend, you and I have to live by the Bible. Jesus is our example, consider, He WAS IN ALL POINTS TEMPTED/TESTED LIKE AS WE ARE, YET WITHOUT SIN (Heb 4:15) . You can do this: "I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13

People say that it is too hard to resist temptation, and I say yes it is! That is why you cannot do it alone but you can do all things through Christ. You can stand on God's Word. Jesus was tempted while He was on the cross. Can you believe it? Even at the last minute Satan tried to win. He asked Jesus (through one of the thief) "come down from the cross and people would believe you." How tempting and yet horrifying was that! If Jesus failed that last test you and I would be in big trouble. If He did escape the sacrifice of the cross both you and I would spend eternity separated from God. No temptation could move Jesus to disobey the will of His Father in heaven, Hallelujah! In order to be effective in our warfare, you and I must know how to use the Word effectively. Friend, it is through meditation that the word will come to live in us, take every thought captive, and consequently we will be strong in the Lord. Jesus promised that if we abide (become one/consume) in Him, and His Word abides in us, we will ask what we desire, and it will be done for us (John 15:7). This will include victory over Satan tricks.

Friend, when you are battling temptation, you can boldly and confidently choose to use the weapon God has given you. But you have to know how to recognize temptation. God's Word says His weapons are Mighty to the pulling down of Strongholds. He has given us a Sword of the spirit (Holy Spirit) A Shield of faith (His Word), and the Name and the Blood of Christ as well as authority over Satan. We are armed and dangerous. The devil cannot win.

Praise the Lord!

Expect to Hear God's Voice Today

Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. Psalm 25:1
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Psalm 32:8
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. Psalm 37:23

Have you ever been faced with a situation and you pray and read the Word but still unable to hear the voice of God and you are unsure about which direction to take?
It used to happen to me. I had trouble making simple decisions such as whether or not I should move to another city, which school to attend and who to trust. I struggle with it until I read the story of Joshua. Sometimes we don't get the answers right away, and other times we don't get any answers at all because God had already given us the ability to know what the right decision is. Psalm 48:14 says,
For this is God, our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death.

When we are born again, God arms us with what's called the inward witness. The word of God and the inward witness are in perfect oneness. The Holy Spirit is the witness inside of us. He lives in the believer's spirit for the purpose of teaching and guiding. John 14:26 says, The Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. When someone gets saved, the soul is what received the salvation but spirit, the body and emotions have to be taught certain things. You are used to speak and act a certain way all of your life and renewal does not happen over night, it is a process. There is no need to panic, you are not alone. The Holy Spirit is in you and He is guiding you, The only thing is you have to learn to recognize when He is speaking to you. You have got to learn to tune in and yield. At salvation we expect external help, in reality the help is within.

.
We often expect God to send someone to help and guide us. We want to hear a loud powerful voice, when in reality God speaks to us softly daily and He expects us to know His voice. The word of God says my sheep know me and they know my voice (read the parable of the Good Shepherd, John 10) and Psalm 119:105 says, Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

A few years ago I was invited to speak at a children's event and I told the kids about God's voice and how He speaks to me on a regular basis and I was asked to describe God's voice. I did not speak to them about revelation because the sponsors had specific guidelines revelation but I told them that God's voice is more like all of a sudden it become irrevocably clear what to do about a situation. It is the voice of Love, wisdom, and peace. The trick is you and I have to place ourselves in position to hear God's voice. I typically start my day by deciding to be sensitive to God's voice. I make the conscientious choice to listen to God and I make it my objective no matter what it tells me to do or how hard it is, I yield. You too can start training yourself to not only hear His voice but to yield to it. Don't just hear or read the Word but let us decide to "do and live" the word. "He awakens me morning by morning to listen" Isaiah 50:4

If you haven't heard it yet, you need to pray and ask God to teach you to recognize His voice and I assure you He will. Psalm 48:14 says, For this is God, our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death. He promise to guide you, and God keeps all His promises. As you learn to listen and recognize the voice of God, you will have the wisdom necessary to make daily decisions because you are more than a conqueror through Him. "In all things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us" Romans 8:37

Isaiah 58:11
The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your needs in parched places, and make your bones strong, and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters never fail. Expect God to speak to you today and be blessed!

Praise the Lord!

Omnipresent God........

Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. Psalm 121:4

The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your love, O LORD, endures forever- Psalms 138:8

www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

God will not let you down. Have you ever felt alone? We need someone to help us get through the tough times, don't we? I don't know about you but for me, there never seem to be anyone capable of being around for me at all times. People are preoccupied with their own issues. I was looking back on my life and I realized that through all of my difficulties in my early adult life, I have never had anyone to support or guide me through and no matter how tough the situation might have been, nobody has ever offered support. It might be hard to believe considering that I am a "people person". I am also from a large family and I have attended large churches most of my life. I often had to seek the help, and on more than one occasions, my search had led me to the wrong people (you know, the people with hidden agenda). Seems depressing, doesn't it? I know from experience that it does get lonely in this world. But you know what? My comfort finally came from the realization that no matter how difficult those situations were, I always come out of them because God was with me and if I were weak He was always strong. I never needed to beg for His help. He willingly came to my rescue each and every time, the only problem was that I did not always want His help. I wanted Him to send someone else to help. It took time to understand and accept that God is all that I ever needed and all that I will always need.

If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. Psalm 139:8

Dear friend, the Bible says that God will never leave you nor forsake you. He is Omnipresent, which means He always there and He is everywhere at the same times. He is with you always. He is with you through times of great blessings and through adversity. When you are going through your difficulties and no one seems to care, do not go to the wrong people and don't be dismayed, He is with you. Praise the Lord!
Personally I used to run to the same people when I am in trouble and predictably, they always let me down because people have their own agenda and challenges. It is very important to learn to count on God. He alone can provide the comfort that you so desperately seeking. The sooner you learn this lesson, the better. You will spare yourself a broken heart if you can learn to turn to God first. Don't wait until you run out of option. God should be the first and only option. If need be, He will send the right people in your life but but relief come from Him. Amen.

God is our Father, and a good One. He does take care of His children. You can come to Him. He will not turn His back when you need him the most and that is a guarantee. Trust Him and you will experience His glory. He wants to "WOW" you. Would you give Him a way in? He wants you to feel safe. He wants to sit you on His lap and assure you that everything is going to work out fine. Would you let Him? He got the world in His capable hand. He created the world, but nothing is as valuable to him as you are. GLORY! He is already your Father, please, make the choice to be His child and be blessed. Count on His love and be blessed!

God is Always There. You Can Count on Him.

Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off?

Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord. Jeremiah 23:23-24

Lead by Example

Living by the Word of God

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6

www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

Do your children believe that the most important in thing in your life is your relationship with God? Do you tell them to live a certain way and yet you live another? Surprisingly, most people do just that. They spend a life time teaching right from wrong and yet the children take the road of self-destruction. They often wonder the cause and the answer is simple: They simply do as you do and not as you say and taught. Your actions speak louder than our words. It is nice to teach your children but they learn the most by watching you. They handle situations as you do. Are you emotional, always ready to lose your temper? Are you a person who thinks before speaking or divulge everything that comes to mind? Do you pray over each and every meal or do you just dig in? There are a million little things that we do that affect our surrounding and we don't even realize. It doesn't matter how many times we tell our children not act as we do because they will most likely do it anyway.

We have a responsibility to teach our children to be good soldier of Christ. Serving God is not a grown up thing. It is not something that they would eventually grow into. It is something you need to teach them as early as possible by both your words and actions. It is the will of God. "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6) This tremendous forewarning and promise is for parents, prospective parents, grandparents, relatives, and anyone else who has a heart for children. It is absolutely reliable, since "all the promises of God in him are. "For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God" 2 Corinthians 1:20. The true and living God, who cannot lie, will keep this promise; our responsibility lies in the first word, train. But before we get to that, we must consider the way. Training also includes examples.

Be adults who put God first by your words and actions. Don't fall apart when trouble come, fall down on your knees instead. Let your children see that you believe in God's promise to take care of all of your needs. Spare your children the pain that comes with unbelief, lead them right. Spare them the hurt you experience by resisting God's will for too long. Don't let them go astray, spare them the iniquity. Be a great leader in your family and community by allowing your actions to speak louder than your words and be blessed.

Praise the Lord!

What Does it Mean to Overcome?

He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. Revelation 3:21

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com

What is it we need to overcome?

When we got saved, we overcame the devil. But the spirit of the world, constantly, tries to influence us to deny Christ, and that is why we sin. The goal of the devil is to get us to sin and by doing that we are denying Christ(Job 1:11). It is possible for a believer to resist sins. We do that a lot but not consistently or easily. We have to do better than that, and we can with the help of the Holy Spirit. Revelation 3:5 clearly explains why we must strive to overcome: He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father and before His angels. It is not a secret that the devil's plan is to progressively bring us to the place where we will, deliberately and willingly, deny Christ. Holding to the testimony of the cross, in spite of all opposition, is what it means to overcome.

Why do we sin? Why do some of us fall for the same old tricks? We may not realize it or think of it as often as we should but there is indeed a spiritual war going on. We must win each battle. We already have what it takes (the blood of Jesus). We also have the guidance of the Holy Spirit; that is why the Bible urges us to fight the good fight of faith by taking the armor of God. Jesus does not have a throne for all of us to sit on. I am thinking that it is more a figure of speech meaning that those who fight the good fight of faith and overcome the devil will be in a position of dominion/power with Him just like He is with the Father (and that my friend is a wonderful promise!).

Is there a sin in your life that is becoming a stronghold? Are the trials/tribulations of your life becoming so difficult that you no longer have the strength to pray or to fight the devil? Think of the big picture. God's plan since the creation is for His people to be in perfect oneness (union) with Him, but the fall of man complicated the situation. Thankfully and gloriously the blood of Jesus reconciled us with our creator (and nothing can ever separate us from God anymore), Praise the Lord! Jesus won at Calvary. The devil has no power. He cannot have strongholds in your life. You can fight him successfully through the blood of Christ. Repent, take on the full Armor of God, and rebuke the devil and you shall overcome (the devil) and be with your savior from now on to eternity.

Praise the Lord!

Where is The God of Elijah?

He took the coat and struck the water with it. He asked, "Where is the LORD God of Elijah?" As he struck the water, it divided to his left and his right, and Elisha crossed [the river].2 Kings 2:14

I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? Jeremiah 32:27

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com

I am amazed at the fact that we don't see even more destruction in the world, when considering how much the devil hates people and how focus he is on destroying them. When tragedy or temptation strikes, we are not to thank God for them. He is not causing them to occur. It is important that the people of God understands that He is a good father. He's the One who provides our way of escape from them and that's why we thank Him. We praise Him in time of trouble because of Who He is and not for our trouble. The devil, on the other hand is the one who is the master of destruction. He orchestrates the trouble but he can't cause disaster in your life unless he has been given place. He can't come in and start destroying and stealing from you unless he can get you into a place of sin and/or disobedience. So if he's been giving you trouble, ask the Holy Spirit to show you some of the sins in your life that make the devil feels welcome, then repent and get rid of them by using the power of God to keep him bound and he won't be able to put anything over on you. “But I thank God, who always leads us in victory because of Christ. Wherever we go, God uses us to make clear what it means to know Christ. It's like a fragrance that fills the air.” 2 Corinthians 2:14

It is vital that you remember the battle starts in your mind. You have to pay attention to your thoughts. As you fight the good fight of faith today, remember this: Your mind is where the battle will take place. Whatever you allow to captivate your mind will rule your life. It is up to you to choose the Word of God (truth and life) or the the lies of Satan (death, eternal damnation) to captivate your thoughts. Make the right decision as you are starting the week remember Elijah. If you want the Word to reign, make up your mind now to resist the devil when he comes to plant doubts within you. Hold on to God's truth. Refuse to surrender to Satan's pressure. Decide right this second to that not fall for his lies and stand on the promises of God.
When thoughts come that are contrary to God's will, cast them down and do not worry. Worrying is directly connected to Satan's lies. When you recognize you are worrying, stop it immediately. Replace worried, fearful, and doubtful thoughts with the Word. Fill your heart and mind with God's word. That is why reading your Bible is so important. You need the Word of God at all time. You need to plant it in you. Satan will try to tell you that your situation is hopeless but you will know better. You know that the blood of Christ opens the door of possibilities and deliverance.Amen! You know that you already have the victory. Praise God! Do not listen to lies that will not come to pass in your life. Lean on (believe in, built on, have the assurance of) the unfailing and uncompromising WORD of God.

Make up your mind right now to be a winner and you'll spread the knowledge of victory in Christ everywhere you go. Stay away from people who don't believe like you do. Surround yourself with people of faith. God has promised that He will always cause you to triumph in Christ. You are GUARANTEED victory over adversity you face today. Believe in God's word and not the devil. The God of Elijah, David, Jacob, and Daniel still lives. He still makes a way where there is no way. He still takes His children from glory to glory. I don’t know where your challenge is this morning. It could be in your mind, finances, your body, and your soul. Ask yourself, is anything too hard for God? He is the One who gave Sarah a son when it should have been too late. He is the One who took His people out slavery in Egypt. He is the One who gave little David victory over giant Goliath. He is the One who protected Daniel in lion's den. He is the One who kept Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego unharmed in the blazing fiery furnace. He is the One He is the One who is actively watching over you today. He is still the miracle worker. Can you understand the power of the One on you side? You have the God of Elijah! He is with you right now. Glory!

Ah Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You. Jeremiah 32:17

God Knows, God Hears and God Delivers

In my distress I prayed to the Lord and the Lord answered me and rescued me. The Lord is for me, so I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? Yes, the Lord is for me; he will help me. I will look in triumph at those who hate me. It is better to trust the Lord than to put confidence in people. Psalms 118:5-8

GOD KNOWS-- Job 37:16, 1 Samuel 2:3

I was driving home a while ago and suddenly I felt this wave of sadness. I have heard some terrible news throughout the week and even worse news about a friend the night before and I was obsessing about ways to help out. My joy was almost non-existent. At one point I felt physically ill, I was disoriented to the extent that I had to pull over to catch my breath. I recognized instantly that the devil was at work. The joy of the Lord is our strength. It shouldn't matter what’s going on around us we should have perfect peace on the inside. If we are not diligent the spirit of weariness, hopelessness and defeat will work its way into our lives especially these days through all the pressure of life and wars around the world don’t make it any easier. The devil will use whatever he can to take our focus off of God. We cannot let our guard down, not even for a second. GOD KNOWS it and He warned us about it. "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour" 1 Peter 5:8

GOD HEARS-- Psalm 3:4

The devil is searching for whom he “may” devour. I like that. He cannot have every one of us, only those who let him. So when you're feeling weary, take actions, look up and keep focus on Christ. Call on His name and ask Him for help. I promise He hears you. "When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit" Psalms 34:17-18. So trust God to take care of your troubles. Call on His name and HE WILL HEAR YOU. Keep you head up and keep moving. Fill your heart with godly thoughts. Do not get consumed by the circumstances of your life remember "You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world." 1 John 4:4

GOD DELIVERS--Psalm 34:19

Frankly, I don't know where I would be today if God didn't deliver. He initially delivered me from eternal death, by sending His son Jesus Christ. Then, He took me away from the place I was born at a dangerous time and He continues to deliver me from the devil’s constant attacks. God rescued me just last night from myself, and from my own negative thoughts. Deliverance is a major theme in the Bible. God makes a point of setting his people free in major, and public ways. Have you ever thought about David? Have you wondered how such young boy could possibly defeat a giant Goliath? (1 Samuel 17). I have many times. How was it possible for a young Daniel to spend an entire night in the lions' den and survived? (Daniel 6). Have you wondered how time stood still and the moon stopped long enough for Joshua to get his victory? (Joshua 10:13). I will tell you how: GOD DELIVERS. He has been delivering His children for thousands of years, He has not retired yet. He is still delivering today. He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Malachi 3:6).

When the enemy strikes, don't panic, don't even be weary. Do what David, Joshua and Daniel did. Look up to God and call on His name for He knows, He hears and delivers.

Praise the Lord!

Put the Word into Action

"Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock" Matthew 7:24

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

I finally realized how to be blessed, to receive favor and to see and to see supernatural results in my life. I have searched for years but God recently show me that there was only one way: it is by simply putting the word into action. It is great top read and to meditate on the word of God, but it is even better to start doing what the word says.

If you believe that the Bible is God's inspired then you shouldn't have any trouble obliging to all of the recommendations. God is the only One who can provide for all of your needs. Your spouse, family, financial resources, along with your physical and mental ability will fail you. God is able and willing to supply for ALL of your needs. The only thing you have to do is to put His word in action. To believe the word of God means to expect the result of the word.

People go to school for years, and at some point have to step out and get a job to apply some of the things they have learned. It is wonderful to read and learn the word of God but at some point, we need to step up and start acting the word. Why can't it be today? There is no time like the present.
The word of God says you can do all things in God who strengthened you, then go out there and face your challenges without fear.
The word of God says that His love and grace are sufficient for you, and then stop looking for love in all the wrong places, wait on the Lord.
Start by taking baby steps. Start changing your speech pattern; then move on to caring yourself with dignity. Make the difficult and yet rewarding choice to follow God and soon will see your harvest.

Keep on going to church and read your Bible; keeping on living right by putting the word of God into action. Make the decision to start today.

Praise the Lord!

The Assurance of God's Protection

"When they call to me, I will answer them; I will be with them in trouble, I will rescue them and honor them. With long life I will satisfy them, and show them my salvation". Psalm 91:15-16

You have no need to worry. The word of God gives you great assurance that regardless of your life circumstances you are protected. God is with you. He hears every prayer and he sees every tear. He is willing to change your situation today, if you would just trust Him.

Psalm 91 reminds you that God will protect you to plague. It does not matter what is going on around you, God will cover you and you have many references from the Bible of how protected those who love and trust Him.
. He protected Noah through the flood.
. He protected Daniel from the lion's pit
. He protected Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego from the fire
. He protected Joseph from his brothers.

There are countless examples of the power of Jehovah Nissi. The only requirement is to have a willing/receiving heart. Call on His name and He will come.

There is no need to hide my friend. You can face your trouble head on. You have divine protection. God loves you. His love is profound, unconditional, and eternal. The measure of His love is shown through what He gave: His son and our Savior Jesus Christ. His desire for you is to be blessed with long and prosperous life, will you receive it?

Learn to fight negative thoughts by speaking the Word appropriate to your need. In your darkest hour, when there's no where to go, no one to call, look inside you and you will know that you are not alone. God promised to always be with you. Your circumstances are temporary; they don't own you because you belong to God. They will not last. They cannot last.

. Diabetes, High Blood Pressure and/or any disease trying to invade your bodies can't lasts, plead the blood of Christ over your body and your loved ones.
. Bill collectors will stop calling, plead the blood of Christ over your finances.
. When your marriage is starting to crumble, plead the blood of Christ over the situation as well.
Claim dominion over all circumstances in the name and blood of Jesus. When call on the Lord your situation has to change because you hat the assurance of God's protection.

My dear friend, there is no need to fear. You have the assurance of God's protection. You are covered by the blood of Christ. You are loved. Be ready to have a blessed day and know that God is changing your situation right now.

Praise the Lord!

What a Mighty God we Serve!

"Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert of Shur. For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water. When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah). So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, "What are we to drink?" Then Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet". Exodus 15:22-25

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

Now we know the story of how God took the Israelites from slavery out of Egypt victoriously and miraculously (there were the many plagues and the crossing of the Red Sea), and yet His people still did not completely trust Him. After only three days in the wilderness without water they started to turn against Moses, they started to lose faith because they needed water to stay alive. They wanted to go back to Egypt. They even said that slavery was better than being in the desert. Moses cried out to God for help and what did God do? What He always does. He answered Moses. He came through for them once more. He gave Moses instructions, praise God, and the bitter water turned sweet. It would have been so easy for God to turn His back on them, but again, He gave them an opportunity to see His glory.

. The people cried out to Moses, but Moses Cried out to God. You and I need to know who to cry out to in our times of need. Moses could have gone to Miriam or Aaron to find refuge when the pressure was on, but instead he went to the One who had the power to help. Friend, we cannot trust the wrong people. There are those who would appear to sympathize but take secret joy in our miseries. We must learn to turn to God. He cares. He alone loves us unconditionally. Praise God!
. The story makes me think of the importance of obedience. Moses threw the piece of wood in the water just as God instructed and the water turned sweet. There are rewards attached to obeying God.

Sometimes God is waiting on us to take a minor step to change a situation, we go to church we hear about it. We turn on the television we hear about it. The car in front of us in traffic carries the same messages. The Holy Spirit tries to lead us to the right path and yet we refuse to change and we complain and wonder why we don't get our victory. We need to learn to be more sensitive to the voice of God and live in obedience. We are serving a great God who has the power to change any situation. There are perks to walking in obedience. There is healing, deliverance, victory over sins, and freedom from strongholds in walking in obedience to the word of God. Get acquainted with His word. Read your Bible until you understand God so well that trusting Him is no longer an option but the only choice.

Friend, learn to trust God. It is a choice worth making. Rely on His might and power and soon the situation of your life will change. God is waiting for you to take that simple step of faith. Will you come to Him today? Will you let Him help you? Will you accept His love? I pray that you do.

Father how grateful I am for your unconditional love! Father in the name of Jesus, help me learn to turn to you. Help me understand that you alone are my source. Only you care about my well-being. I desire that oneness with you more than anything. I am turning my heart to you. Help me stand firm Father. Do not let me stumble. I worship you Father because only you are holy. Only you are worthy, and only you are God.

Praise the Lord!
