Does God Need Praise?

Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, you his servants; praise the name of the Lord. Let the name of the Lord be praised, both now and forevermore. From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised. Psalm 113

www.bibletourwithjoline.com

God is looking for men and women who are going to be consistent and persistent in their faith-walk. People who are going to praise Him, regardless of their situations; can He count on you?
Will you have the courage to praise him when your spouse of twenty years walked out on you for no apparent reasons? Are you going to praise Him when everyone around you is being blessed with material things while you were just fired? Can God count on you when you are starting to go gray and all of your friends are married and having children and you have yet to meet your soul mate, and everyone at church and in your own family whispers loudly behind your back?
Will God be able to count on you when the world seems to be against you and all doors seem to be closing at once? Should He count on your praise when the doctor looks at your loves ones and shake his head while telling you there is nothing else possible that he can do?

There are times in our lives that are so difficult that we’ll be tempted to believe that our efforts are vain, and we may be tempted to get discouraged, but those would be the time to trust God, and take Him at His word. Spend quiet time in meditation to find out what He has to say about your situations. The Bible says. “If we endure with Him, we will also reign with Him”. 2 Timothy 2:12; “Being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience and joyfully giving thanks to the father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.” Colossians 1:11’12

Praise the Lord friend, praise God because He commands us to do so, He desires our praise and He most definitely deserves our praise. God is Sovereign He is the Alpha and the Omega; He is “just” in all His ways. Praise Him through your hardships; praise him through your victories. He takes pleasures in his people praise (Psalms 149:4). He takes pleasure in those who fear (honor/respect/trust) Him and those who hope in His steadfast love. (Psalms 147:11). He fulfills the desire of all who fear Him; He also hears their cry and saves them. (Psalms 145:19.

Are you going through a storm this morning? Look upon God and not around you. We are serving “The living God.” He is willing and able to change your situation if you just let Him in. Open the door and the eyes of your heart and He will come in. The presence of the Lord always brings change. Your situation will have to change.

For more on the subject of perseverance read: Romans 8:25; Galatians 6:9; Hebrews 3:14
Psalm 37:7-9; Hebrews 10:36; James 1:2-4 and 12; Romans 5:3-4 ; Revelation 21:7; and 2 Timothy 2
;12-13 .

Be fortified, be courageous and please be patient, in Jesus name!

Praise the Lord!

Rebuke the Spirit of Fear

God is in Control

"For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I myself will search for my sheep and look after them. As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a day of clouds and darkness.” Ezekiel 34:11-12

If there ever was a time to trust God, it is now. It almost impossible to turn the television or the radio and not hear that 2.4 millions people lost their job in the year ending 2008, and it is expected to be worst this year; 2.3 homes foreclosed, and it is already predicted that 1 in 4 homes will be foreclosed by the end of this year. People are scared, they living with this fear of losing their jobs and their homes in addition to their fear of dying of cancer and heart diseases just like the other members of their families did. Some people will not get on a plane anymore; others will not drive by fear of accident, fear is just ruin lives and people are consumed by it. Allow me to remind you that fear is of the devil because the Bible says “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Tim. 1:7) friend, fear is the opposite of faith and if faith comes by hearing, fear also can come by hearing. Turn off the news that is upsetting read the Word when you sense that fear is trying to set in. stay away from people who do not have faith in God. He promised in His word that He will be with you always and He will because He keeps all His Promises. My dear friend, God does not have dementia, He hasn’t lost His mind, He still in control and He is still Jehovah Jireh and Jehovah Rapha, the believer’s provider and healer. Praise the Lord!

Friend, I urge you to hold on to the word of God. The Bible says in Romans 8:31-32, If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” Here is a aha moment! Did you notice, in this verse, it says "freely give us all things?" God is able to give us everything freely. If you are dealing with fear in a certain area of your life, I want you to realize who is in action, and he does not have power over your life. As a believer, you are covered by the blood of Jesus and even in this economy success is within your reach, healing is within your reach, prosperity is within your reach and your deliverance from the spirit of fear is definitely within your reach. Praise the Lord! Why don’t you accept your healing by faith right now? Declare yourself cancer, diabetes, heart disease free right now, whatever the ailment maybe, be healed in Jesus name. You have the power to rebuke the devil’ stronghold over your life right now because Jesus said in Matthew 18:18, "Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.” That is how special you are. Jesus sacrificial death on the cross gives you power over Satan’s stronghold, claim your freedom by faith, in Jesus Holy name.

Friend, God is the believer’s source of all supplies and He is the believer’s protection. He’s the one who fights your battle and no enemy (sickness, disease, pain, fear and death) is greater than God. Trust in the Lord and live a stress free and fear free life. Faith works, prayer still works and God is still able, praise the Lord!

Father how grateful I am for your goodness. Thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ so that I can have peace, healing, victory and abundant life. Thank you for the forgiveness of my sin, amen!

Praise the Lord!

Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, (love) is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Friend, love is a big theme in our society. There are countless websites claiming to be able to help you find love. It is really quite interesting because each one of them is loaded with thousands of profiles. People are desperately looking for love. Have you ever had an opportunity to read some of these profiles? People are searching for perfection. (Disease free, thin, smart, beautiful, tall, rich or have a great job, good communicator with no relationship baggage, ect.). But God wants you as you are: Sick, Imperfect, broken, hurt, full of baggage, loss, confused, rejected. No need to change to find His love because His kind of love will enrich and transform. Glory! There are times in our lives when those who claim to love us refuse to talk to us and ask for space but my dear friend, there are no periods with God's love. God's love does not stop with the sunset or begin with the new week. God love never takes a break. Divine love will always continue throughout time and eternity. In the darkest of nights, there will always be the eternal light of God's love. Glory to God! All you have to do is submit to love by allowing Christ to reside in your heart. He will never leave you. His promise to be with you through your valleys and mountain tops is true. You can count on His great love.

Love by definition has many components, without any of them, love is missing. This is evident by the seven exclusive definitions for love mentioned above. Love does not insist on its own schedule and time constraints, and true love is not easily shaken, or only works when it is convenient. Jesus tells us here that our greatest command is to love. God gives us the ability to love when we are born again, the Holy Spirit fills our heart with the love of God so that we can show His love to others. What is it about true love that touches every heart? Why does the simple phrase "I love you" waken such universal joy? Why is it that some spend a lifetime pursuing love? You see, love was the grand principle which prompted God to give His Son to die for sinners. How sublime was the love that a perishing world. Jesus explained "You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind. And you must love your neighbor as yourself." (Luke 10:27). Responding to true love is part of our genetic make up because we are children of God and Love is God's attribute, which He delights in manifesting openly;.
God's love is persistent, ever-present, and very powerful. Our lives are transformed by the presence of love. All true love originates from God. Christians are to receive and replicate this love in their lives so people can know of God's love. When filled with God's love, we can understand things that we could not otherwise understand. The wonderful thing is that the more we know God’s attribute, the more we are going to obey His command to love "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment Matthew 22:37). Friend, love starts with God. One of favorite preachers once said that “Trying to find lasting love without obeying God is like trying to quench thirst by drinking from an empty cup you can go through the motions, but the thirst remains”. We often miss out on this comprehensive picture of God's love because we are searching for it at all the wrong places while taking God’s love for granted.

The Incredible God

The Incredible God Deserves Incredible Praise.

But you are holy, you who inhabit the praises of your people. Psalm 22:3

www.bibletourwithjoline.com

The primary word for praise is Halal, which is the root of hallelujah, (to give glory, to boast, to shine, to be clamorous, to rave, to make a show, to celebrate). So praise is acknowledging, celebrating and honoring the person and work of God our creator for who He is and all He has done. Praise should come naturally from our heart. I can assure you that praising God is an enjoyable environment. We had 1-hour long praise at church this morning and I can’t remember when I was the happiest. I cried, smiled and danced in pure joy. When we praise God together, our praise creates an environment where God makes His presence known. People were weeping and hugging each other, they were even nice in the parking lot, which is not typical. The above scripture says that our praise establishes a throne from which God can rule. I don’t know about you, but that makes me want to praise Him as often as I can. God manifests Himself in the midst of praise. God is worthy to be praised. He is amazing and has done incredible things. He is never out of stock when it comes to grace and mercy and that should be enough but He gave His best (His son Jesus Christ) for humanity’s worst.

Friend, when was the last time you thought of all the things God has done? I promise you, when you make Jesus the focus of your life, you will become a person of praise for He is worthy to be praised. It is important to understand that in Hebrew the phrase hallelu yah (halal) is in the imperative form which is a command. When you read the words "Praise the LORD" at the beginning and conclusion of many Psalms, including one of my favorite, (Psalms 113), you should understand that the psalmist is telling “you” personally to praise the Lord by opening your mouth, and start singing to God. Do you trust in God’s mercy regardless of the situation you’re living in? Are you depending on Him in everything (good, bad and ugly)? Are you praising Him daily for His mercy and sufficient grace? You need to start praising God.

Dear friend, God deserves and merits our praise in big assembly, but He will accept our praise anytime and anywhere. (Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples. Psalm 96:3). Our Father in heaven deserves our praise. If there is anything in your life keeping you from enjoying a relationship with The Incredible God, repent and confess it to God and invite The Holy Spirit to help you change so that you can become the son/daughter God created you to be; and if there is anyone you know who does know The Incredible God yet, make the decision to share the good news of Christ with him/her as soon as possible.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow; praise him, all creatures here below; praise him above, ye heavenly host: Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen! (Thomas Ken, 1674).

Praise the Lord!

God Will Answer Your Prayers

Trust God

"Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known". Jeremiah 33:3

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.blogspot.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

I know sometimes the needs are so great (personal/ physical healing, financial healing, need that love one to be saved; need a love one to receive his/her healing) that people don't even know where to begin, and they are reluctant to pray. They honestly don't know what to ask God. It can get overwhelming, but the one thing to remember is that your life no longer belongs to you once you accepted Christ into your life; you gave a Him permission to take over. You don't have to beg for your blessings, they are already yours. You only need to plead your case with scriptures and that's all. It is very important that you understand that God will answer your prayers. When you come with a request, you are asking Him to do His job. You are asking Him to do what He promised He would do. "I will restore health to you. And your wounds I will heal" Jeremiah 30:17.

God is a great God. He can handle it all. No need is too big or too small for Him. He cares about all that concerns you. Submit all of your difficulties to Him. It does not matter what you are going through, He will answer your prayers. It may seem overwhelming for you to carry alone but bring your burdens to Him, and will take care of it. Take God at His word and don't stop believing. God cannot lie or fail. He will do what He says.

Stop complaining, stop looking at your pain and your situation, spend more time praying, asking God to show you how to be a blessing to others and be blessed.

God wants to teach you great things. Stop focusing on that same familiar area of your life. Let Him work through you instead. It's only when you take the focus off of you that you will allow yourself to see the glory of God. The devil doesn't want you to look on God. He wants you to see what's wrong by looking at yourself. That is why it is so important to focus on Him instead. He is perfection. Nothing is impossible to God. Don't just say it. You need to believe it and experience it. God is able to make you what you never thought you'd be. He has the power to change your situation. Let Him lead.

RecognizingtheLord

and run to Him

But when the day was now breaking, Jesus stood on the beach; Yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.
John 21:5

This miracle took place after His resurrection. Jesus revealed Himself again to the disciples by the Sea. They went fishing and couldn't catch anything all night, and at the end of the day, Jesus stood on the beach; yet the disciples did not know that it was Him. Jesus said to them, "Children, have you any fish?" They answered him, "No." He said to them, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some." So they did as he said it, and now they were not able to haul it in, for the quantity of fish, 153 all together. The disciple whom Jesus loved, John, said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his clothes, he was stripped for work, but the other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, they were not far from the land. When they got out on land, they saw a fire there, with fish lying on it, and bread. Jesus was waiting and said to them, "Bring some of the fish that you have just caught and come and have breakfast." Now none of the disciples dared ask him, "Who are you?" They knew it was the Lord. Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fish. This was now the third time that Jesus revealed himself to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

The one thing that touches me the most is the fact that Jesus loved them so much. He indeed cared about every aspect of their lives. He knew how sad the disciples were because He went away. He had already appeared to them twice before but yet they were still depressed; they all sort of went back to their regular career out of despair and discouragement. This apparition was exactly what they needed. His timing was perfect. John, the beloved disciple, is the first to recognize the Lord. Peter impulsively leaps from the boat and runs to the Lord. What joy and peace he must have felt?

Do you run to the Lord when you encounter trials, tribulations and disappointments, or do you run further away from Him? The Lord is ever ready to renew us in faith and to give us fresh hope in his promises. He is always ready to rescue those who wait on Him. The Lord Jesus reveals himself to each of us as we open our hearts to receive his word. He is constantly trying to establish a relationship with you, do you recognize the Lord's presence in your life and do you receive his word with open heart and faith? There are great rewards when you recognize and acknowledge the Lord's presence. It was after recognizing the Lord that Jesus said to Peter that he would be 'catching people" for the kingdom of God. What a great revelation! Who knows what miracle God will perform in your life when you finally run to Him?

Praise the Lord!

Submit yourself to God

"Submit yourself to God resist the devil and He will flee from you" James 4:7

www.bibletourwithjoline.com

What does it really mean to submit to God?

To submit to God, is to surrender your will, your being to Him. EVERY area of your life should b under His commands, His authority. It is definitely not easy to be submissive. Every second of each day, a battle rages in our heart between doing the will of God and our own. To be submissive means to choose the will of God even though it is not easy. Jesus told the disciples "If anyone would come to me, he must deny himself" Luke 9:23
You cannot serve God and yet holding to your selfishness. When we are following God, you must plant good seeds, but more importantly then that, you life should be a testimony to God. People should be looking at the way you live your life and know that you God's follower. You must live the values that you believe in and preach. You shouldn't have to tell your neighbors that you are a Christian. They should know by the way you carry yourself. Your attitude should change when you submit yourself to God. Yesterday, you panic when you going through tough times but today, you praise the Lord for each opportunity to endure because Christ also suffered. "Give thanks to the Lord, or he is good" Psalm 136:1.

Be honest with yourself today and find out which area of your life has not yet submitted entirely to God, then repent and ask God to take possession of your being.
If you confess your sins, he is faithful and just, he will forgive you. (1 John 1:9)

Now you can live in peace because you have been made right with God through the blood of Christ. (Romans 5:1). It doesn't matter if you don't feel any different because you are a changed man/woman of God. He promised to forgive you. You must believe that promise. Lots of people think that their sins are too great to be forgiven, not so. Anyone who comes to Christ, He accepts him.

I never turn away anyone who comes to me (John 6:37)
Submit to God today and start enjoying your relationship.

Praise the Lord!

Your Healing Jesus

Your Healing Jesus wants to touch You.

Jesus said to him, I will come and heal him" Matthew 8:7

visit: www.bibletourwithjoline.com

When meditating on this verse, the first thing I realized is that Jesus did not hesitate. When he was told about the Centurion's servant, His instant reply was "I will come and heal him". There was no debate, no hesitance on his part. He was able, willing. Jesus hasn't changed. He is the same yesterday and forever (Malachi 3:6).

There is good news for you today. Whatever you're facing: emotional, physical or spiritual trial, Jesus wants to heal you. He is able and willing. His answer for your problem is" I will come and heal you, "I will come and bless you". The same word of healing that He pronounced many years back, are still being spoken on your circumstances today.

Spend times meditating on God's healing promises and remember that His desire is for you to be well and nothing is impossible to God and He loves you. Your well-being is a concern to God. The Holy Spirit is with you right now, helping you through whatever it is you may be going through right now, align your thought-life with His ability to heal you right now and get your healing in Jesus name.

Stay away from people who don't believe in miracle because they still happen every day. God is a working God. He doesn't stop. When you go to sleep He is still working. Keep on praying and "Expect" your miracle. Don't underestimate your prayers. There is power in the prayer of faith (James 5:14-15), Power to destroy any mountain, restore broken lives and rise up those who have fallen. Have a praying man/woman of God agree with you in prayer. Have a parent intercedes on your behalf. Go after your miracle with all that you got and "EXPECT" to receive it.

Praise the Lord!

God is Good

....And God is Faithful

Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
Hebrews 11:11

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

Nothing is impossible to God, even the situations you are going through right now. God has the power and the compassion to change your sorrow into joy. He is willing to bring the solutions of your problems today, but He needs your cooperation, He needs your faith. He needs space to work. You need to just get out of the way by releasing your faith. You need to stop manipulating the situation and let God work. If you can just let worries go, let unbelief go, you would see the glory of the Lord. God promise and plan for your life will come to pass. Do not worry. Put your mind and soul to rest. Slow down and give God an opportunity to jump in and enjoy the ride.

We often speak of Abraham's faith and yet forgot about the difficulties of Sarah's faith, which were very great at the beginning. God made her a promise to have a child when she was already old, she laughed at the promise, as if she doubted God's ability to turn the impossible into great possibility. She had gone out of the way of her duty through unbelief, in putting Abraham upon taking Hagar to his bed, that he might have a son. Now this sin of hers would make it more difficult for her to act by faith later on. Sins will produce unbelief but God can do anything but failed, amen. Sarah conceived a delivered a child.

The maker of the worlds is God; He is the author of all things; God made the world with attention to details. and He made the world by his word and by his active will, saying, Let it be done, and it was done,(Ps. 33:9).The world was framed out of nothing, out of no pre-existent matter, contrary to the well-known scientific belief that "out of nothing, nothing can be made,'' which, though true of created power, can have no place with God, who can call things that are not as if they were, and command them into being. These things we understand by faith. The Bible gives us the truest and exact account of the originator of the world, we are not to argue and doubt the Word of God.

For years you have heard about the power of God do not leave this earth without experiencing it. Living by faith is really better. Why do you have to worry when your heavenly father wants to provide for you? As you are starting this new week make the choice to release your faith a day at a time and sit back, relax and experience God's provision at its best.

My prayer is that you will experience the limitless goodness and faithfulness of God every day of your life starting now.

Praise the Lord!

Mary has chosen the Better Part

Mary has chosen the better part

"The Lord answered Martha, Martha you are worried and distracted by many things; there is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part, which will not be taken away from her". Luke 10:41-42

I have read this scripture many times, and each time God reveals something I have never seen before. You are probably familiar with this story. Jesus went to see Martha and Mary. They were Lazarus's sister the man that He brought back life after being dead for 4 days). When Jesus got there Martha took charge of the situation by keeping herself busy by doing all of the chores that we do when trying to be a good host. I imagined her cooking and cleaning and welcoming all of the other guests, but her sister Mary sat at Jesus feet. Back in the days, people used to sit at their teachers feet when learning. The apostle Paul often talks about sitting at Gamaliel feet (Act 22:3). Mary did not want to miss out on anything he had to say. Remember, this the same Mary who washed Jesus feet with perfume and wiped them dry with her hair.

Imagine Martha surprise when Jesus answered that Mary has chosen the best part.
Many times we get caught up in our daily activities and forget to spend time at Jesus feet. The only way to learn and to develop a relationship is to spend time together. We tend to be confused in today's society. We run from church to church. Service after service and yet we neglect spending time reading and meditating on God's word. Going to church is great. It is very important to have an assembly, a place of worship but it is even better to spend some alone time with Christ.

I know the story of a man who divorced his wife for spending too much time cooking and cleaning and raising the children and yet spent no times getting to know her husband and She is always too busy to schedule alone times for the two of them. She was so surprised and hurt when he walked away.

Don't let daily activities keep you from spending time with the Lord. Stop running around doing things that God does not require of you.
Stop running from revival to revival, conference to conference. Start scheduling time alone with God. It is during those times that He will speak to your heart and guide your paths. Like Mary choose the best part today. Schedule none negotiable DAILY time with God and be blessed.

Praise the Lord.

The God of Possibility

I shall be with you," the LORD said to him, "and you will cut down Midian to the last man." Judges 6:16

www.bibletourwithjoline.com

You may already know the story. God wanted to use Gideon for something great God wanted to use him to deliver the Israelites from the power of Midian), so He appeared to him and share the news with him, but he did not embrace the news. He made many excuses instead, even though he already knew the glory and the power of God. They were just brought out of Egypt, He was still afraid to go, then The LORD turned to him and said, "Go with the strength you have and save Israel from the power of Midian. It is I who send you." His reply was: "Please, my lord, how can I save Israel? My family is the meanest in Manasseh, and I am the most insignificant in my father's house". Again, God said go, I will be with you, but Gideon replied, if you are with us why are we going through so much? (Remember the Israelites were under the power of Midian for seven years by then. Again God say go. Does this story sound familiar? What other source of courage do we need? Who else do we need when we have the protection of the Almighty?

The problem with Christians today is that they don’t seem to understand that going through is part of the deal. God did not promise that we wouldn’t go through stuff. He promised that He will be with us through it all. He promised us victory, but Christians don’t want to endure. They don’t want to be soldiers in the army of the Lord Jesus Christ. We all want to go to heaven, but we want to go our way. We want to have victory on earth but we don’t want to fight. We just want to live an uneventful/boring time on earth. Victory is for fighters. I can relate to why people don’t want to fight because most of the time they don’t know the outcome, but we have the promises of God to be with us. He already told us the outcome. We have the victory, the battle is won. We have the Almighty on our side. Glory!

Trouble is going to come our way, it’s certain, but we are children of God, children of promise. We have to learn to believe God’s Word. At one point we have to start trusting Him. We have to take a step forward. We cannot remain baby Christians forever. We have to grow in godliness. At one point or the other, we must decide to take God seriously. Take Him at His word. Then the LORD said to me, "You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it." (Jeremiah 1:12). God is looking for people who know His Word and live by it. He is waiting to execute. He is longing to give you the victory but you are not working the Word. We are not the first generation on earth. (the Israelites did not take God at His word after he took them out of Egypt and another 40 years in the wilderness), but wouldn’t it great if we were the generation that believes, the generation that lives without limits under the guidance and the banner of the King of kings and the Lord of Lords?

Friend, you have the victory in Jesus name, no matter what it looks like, no matter what the situation is this morning. You don’t have a job? Your spouse walked out? You’re having trouble conceiving a child? You can’t seem to find the right mate? Your love ones are not saved? Are you sick in your body? The doctor refuses to make eye contact because he knows that the situation is dangerous? But friend I am telling you it’s not over until God says it is so. Friend experience God to the fullest. Put His word to work and you will know a life of possibility, a life without limit, a victorious life. We are serving a God who can do anything but fail.
“With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26

Love & Trust

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, letting it be seen that he is the strong support of those whose hearts are true to him. 2 Chronicles 16:9

www.bibletourwithjoline.com

Every believer is called to trust in the God who is love. The biblical heroes have one thing in common: They all seek the presence of God diligently. David was a man who loved God and talked to Him regularly. He also ought after God diligently. He cherished the time he spent in God’s presence. H never worried in time of trouble. David had faith in God. He knew with absolute certainty that when he prayed, something (good) was bound to happen. His undeniably love and his faith (in God and not his own ability) would not let him doubt. It was easy for him to trust God because they were in a loving relationship. Some people don’t trust God because they don’t love Him enough. It is easy for the loving heart to trust. Children show their love through obedience. Those who love God do what pleases God, just as children want to please their parents. The Confidence in the sovereignty of God in ALL that affects us is crucial to our trusting Him. Friend, there isn’t a single event in the entire universe that can occur outside of God’s sovereign control. You can rest in the (Rock-solid) truth that God is in control, no matter what happens in your life and in the world around you. The word of God in the above scriptures tells us that God shows support to those who seek him diligently, those who put Him first and those who love Him.

Dear friend, there is a connection between love and trust. Both begins and ends with God. The call for faith and the call for love are really one. God is the only One who is truly faithful and yet it is easier to trust people who break promises and/or don’t meet expectations. Your trust must remain focused on and in God versus them. When you are faced with major challenges, your spouse, parents and friend can only pray but they cannot take any of them away because they are human and fallible. God is Sovereign (Powerful, infallible, immutable, faithful, just, good and loving). He has the ability to change impossible situations. Trusting grows in relationships over time because as you spend time together with someone you build understanding, patience and trust. You gain insight into another person’s heart. Unconditional love develops trust. You can trust God to renew your relationship with Him and others. (Loving God without loving others is impossible). God has the ability to change your heart and even give you a new heart that is perfect toward Him. "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. "I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. (Ezekiel 36:26-27)

May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other as He does for you. May he strengthen your hearts!

Praise the Lord!

You were Created To Love

You were Created to Love by Love for God is love.

"So God created humankind in his image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." Genesis 1:27

www.bibletourwithjoline.com
www.bibletouravecjoline.blogspot.com

Have you ever wandered why God created mankind? Many people believe that it is to make His creation perfect, some believe that he created mankind in order to have people to dominate and a few more believe He created humanity to have people who fear Him.

I believe that we are special because we were created to the image of God and the true reason that He created us is to LOVE. He wants us to love Him and to be loved by Him for God is love and He has all this love to share. He creates us to receive His love and to generate love and not to fear because there is no fear in love (1 John 4:18). God could have given His love to any heavenly beings of His choice but He saves all of his love to us "mankind" because we were created to His image; that is how special we are! He created us so He can have fellowship with us as partners (1 John 1:3).

What does it really mean to be created to God's image? It simply means that He created us with the ability to be just like Him. God is the creator, the author and finisher and all things, and like Him we have the ability to accomplish great things, because He loves us so much He made His power available to us.

Love should be coming out of our beings. We should be overpowered by love. God's been trying to keep a LOVING relationship with us since the creation, but again and again we reject His love. He made everything on earth for our enjoyment because He loves us so dearly. It is that deep love that influenced Him to send His son Jesus Christ to die the humiliating death on Calvary in order to restore His love relationship with us but we still resist. We just don't understand how special we really are. Most of us don't even believe that we deserve His love. We go through life looking for love in all the wrong places and find trouble and rejection repeatedly instead.

God wants to give you His love today, can you dare receive it? He is offering you His perfect peace and joy, will you dare accept it? Dare to believe that you are special today. You were created with love and more importantly you were created by love for God is love (1 John 4:8). Don’t give your love to the wrong people; turn your attention to God.

GIVE God your BEST.

"There is no Holy One like the Lord; there is no rock like our God" 1 Samuel 2:1

As I read Hannah's prayer, I realized that God has a way of rewarding His children when they keep His covenant.

We all know the story of Hannah, She was married to a man named Elkana. He had another wife named Peninnah, while she had children, Hannah couldn't bear any and Penninah wouldn't let her forget it. Hannah made the vow to dedicate the child to the service of the Lord if He'd bless her with one. Hannah became pregnant and kept her word to the Lord and brought Samuel to the house of the Lord . The Lord blessed Hannah with 3 more boys and 2 more sons.

God is faithful and He has not changed. He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Malachi3:6, Hebrew 1:12, Hebrew 13:8), He still in the prayers answering business; we are the ones who don’t keep our words. While Hannah offered God all that she had, some Christians today are afraid to give God their best.

When Hannah was going after her miracle, she did a few things:
1) She brought her request to the Lord. How wise was that? Considering that we tell everyone about our sorrow except God, the only One who has the power to do something about it, and the only One who really cares. Friend, you must learn to carry your burdens to the Lord. "Come to me, all you who are weary and carrying heavy burdens and I will give you rest" Matthew 11:28. It is an order to come to the Lord with our petitions.

2) Hannah made a promise to God and actually kept it. Christians still believe that they can cheat the omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent God. They make promises they have no intentions of keeping and they receive the blessing they make excuses. Friend, God is a Promise keeper and a covenant God. He will not forget. It would be best not to make a promise than to lie and cheat to the all-knowing and all-powerful God

3) Hannah gave Him praise.
God deserve honor and glory forever. Wouldn’t you agree? When Hannah was praying for a child, she did not open her mouth. She was too broken. Her prayer was a silent one and it is not recorded in the Bible as far as I know but God understood what she was saying and blessed her with a son, but this time her song of praise and thanksgiving is recorded in 1 Samuel 2. Friend it is an order, “Always remember to praise the Lord” 1 Thessalonians 18.

Don't be afraid to give God your best today, because it's by giving Him your best that we will see His best, His glory.

Praise the Lord!
