Dealing with Doubt

Moses said to the LORD, "Please, Lord, I'm not a good speaker. I've never been a good speaker, and I'm not now, even though you've spoken to me. I speak slowly, and I become tongue-tied easily." The LORD asked him, "Who gave humans their mouths? Who makes humans unable to talk or hear? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? It is I, the LORD! Now go, and I will help you speak and will teach you what to say." Exodus 4:10-12

Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt but when God called he refused. He used every excuse possible not to accept the mission but under God's guidance he was able to accomplish what he believed would have been impossible. Moses wasn't perfect, he was a murderer who was in hiding when God called him. We can even relate to his fear and reluctance when God ordered him to go back to Egypt and face Pharaoh. He was afraid.

Doubt affects our ability to connect with God. It fills us with uncertainty. Doubt can actually lead to anxiety, frustration, and fear. All of those emotions can have negative influence on our health and more importantly those emotions can have negative impact on our faith and that is how we know that doubt can only come from the enemy (the devil). God loves us and fills us with His wisdom and we ought to be confident of God's provision for us. It should bring us a sense of peace to know that our loving Father already provided for our needs. Every thing that we are not, He is. Meaning: we can relax under His supervision. It is very important to remember that as heir of the Living God we have certain privileges. The moment we were saved, we become member of the King of Kings family permanently.

Has God called you to ministry? Has He called you to be a leader in your community or your church? Has he given you a business plan and yet you have been afraid to take actions? God is telling you to go conquer and deliver. He is with you. You cannot and will not lose. Like Moses, He will teach you to speak. He will surround you with the right people. It's time to trust God and in His ability to order your step. Make getting to know God a priority this coming year because you will not be able to embrace your legacy has a child of God until you get acquainted with Him.

Praise the Lord!
