Dealing with Bad News.......

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another:
“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”
At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke. Isaiah 6:1-4

What do we do when tragedy strikes? Do we ask why? Do we feel sorry for ourselves? Do we blame God? Do we get angry? When tragedy strikes we need to worship. When our heart is overwhelmed with grief, we must turn to God. Isaiah and David knew a thing or two about worship. They praise God through their trials. Worship is an essential element of the Christian life and, like praise, is a tool we can use to push the enemy out of the atmosphere. We know that God is the giver of life. He does not take it away. We must learn to recognize the enemy's work. When a love one get sick or die, we people feel helpless because they don't have control of the situation. The truth is we are never in control. When we give our life to Christ, we relinquish control and our life is no longer our own but His.

God is our only solid foundation and our true security. Our future is never more secured than when we surrender to Christ. Crisis often make people question God but does not being God just because you are in crisis. He does not stop being faithful because you cannot see the future. You should not feel lost because of hardship when God is your foundation. We must build our life on Christ the Solid Rock. All other ground is sinking sand.

Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Friend, Regardless how bad a situation may seem to us, God is able to use it for good. Trusting God will help us toward accepting the bad news that has come into our life because we will always see bad things that happen as working for our good in the Lord’s hands.

Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” We don't rejoice because we are in denial. We rejoice because we trust God. We know he has control of all things. We rejoice in the promise to be with Him in glory one day soon.

Let us pray! Father how grateful we for your love. Thank you for your ongoing work in us and  perfecting what concerns us. Thank you for you holy presence in time of great pain. We rejoice in you. We call you holy because you are holy. Strengthen what is weak in us Father and help us stand firm until we see you in glory. In jesus name we pray. Amen!

Praise the Lord!
