The above scripture should be very important to the believer it reveals Jesus true nature, His nature to forgive. He abstain from condemnation despite His knowledge of the truth. The adulterous woman was brought to Him in the hopes of condemnation but the Lord sent her away and ordered her to sin no more. The world did not know it yet, but the very purpose of Jesus was to forgive, heal, made whole, save, and to give abundant life. "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly". (John 10:10) The Lord God loves us all. His love is not what we typically experience in this world. It is not a secret that His love for us is wrapped up with His goodness and mercy. Through the grace of the Holy Spirit, Who is ever-present with us, our soul and heart finds peace. Love and mercy go hand in hand. It is because of His mercy that he came to die for us.
God has always been and always will remain infinitely good and merciful toward His people. Because God is good, we may have comfort in communicating with Him,(Ephesians 1:6), His eyes are now upon the righteous, and His ears attentive to their cry (Psalm 34:15). It doesn't matter if you are rejected by your spouse and family. You will always have acceptance in God's loving arm: Isn't that beautiful!
Because He is merciful we can call on Him in ti,e of distress "Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I can desire beside thee?" (Psalm 73:25). As we consider our position in life, our condition, our bodies and spirit, in every respect, "I will praise thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14). It doesn't matter what our situation is, we have God mercy, goodness and salvation through Christ. Glory!
As you are enjoying the weekend, be positive and merciful. Know that God is with you. Don't start next week with the same old grudge. Let people know that you are a man/woman of God by showing forgiveness and mercy. It doesn't matter what happens last weekend, if you confess and repent our God of mercy will forgive you, so give your family, friends, and co-workers a break by being merciful in your dealings with them. Let God mercy and goodness remain alive in you.
Praise the Lord!
